I just now found out about the move to Game Forge.
I have several characters on my Steam account of Tera. I really do not want to lose this.
Will there be a way to migrate them moving forward... or is all that time and money lost?
Side NOTE:
The issue that appeared during the migraation, was that EME couldn't send itself all the accounts' data to Gameforge, without our consest.
Due to GDPR international laws. So, the players had to do it by themselves

Some "account bound" mounts are/were not bankeable, like boneshaker, so it didnt matter if you claim several copies of them, you are not able to use them on other chars or future chars.
Never said they are bankable. It's 1 mount per active char. You can't claim more than 1 on each char.
Even if you could, the extra mount copies would be soulbound on the char ID that claimed it. Totally useless for the other chars.
What i meant, and what i did, was that you had to predict , what new chars you'd play the following months / years, create these chars, and claim the mount on them, before migration.
Claim the mount on all existing chars of the account. if you didn't claim it already. on them.
New chars, created after the actual migration, will not obtain it. It will be vanished from item claim.
That was the meaning.
What i did: Created 3 alt chars of the remaining classes i was missing, and claimed the mount. Reached lv 12 with them, and have them parked at crescentia. That was done before the real migration.
That wasn't necessary though, since all the Popos and High Elves i create, get the diamond dragon and the Castanics get the ashclaw (Igneous Wyvern), on all accounts. But i just did it.
Change channel. They may appear normally on ch. 2+
I did but according to the data that they received I'm at tier 8 but supposedly players were assured that no game progress will be lost after doing migration
I have a strange idea, but i'll express it here.
Why don't you try to contact enmasse support, as long as they are still in open business, and ask them to check the last backup of your account's state?
Specifically ask them when their last backup took place and how many Tera Reward points your account had.
If they find it, and reply you that you had at least 750k points, then you are indeed tier 9.

Support account is different from the game account.
You need to create one, before submitting a ticket,
The support account can have the same credentials as your game account
That would have been nice to know BEFORE I claimed it on Velik. I'd much rather have it on Kaia. Can support move it from one server to the other?

As a subject in the ticket, select the "Item Reimbursement".
I got a warning telling me I would lose my account cache data [i.e. - character info] if uninstalled, and to install the new game from GF would leave me with 5% HD space left which is dangerous if I were to do that and leave the o.ld on here. Any advice on how to proceed? Is there a file that has just my character info I could pull to dsktp then delete old before new install maybe?
The only cache that is stored locally in your PC, is the Appdata folder cache.
In there, are stored only the effects of skill animations of your characters and of the other players' characters. The specific cache's role is to not have visual lag when an extreme skill animation is performed by you or any other player.
Also, the cache may keep stored some UI settings, like chat position and chat letter size .
This cache was created back in 2013, when reaper appeared to Tera, and many ppl were complaning about reaper's skills animation, cause they were causing extreme visual lag every time.
To access the cache files and take a backup, click Start, type %appdata% and click the Local folder. In there you may see a folder named "TERA\LIVE". In this folder the cache is stored.
After uninstalling and re-installing, you type again %appdata% and you restore the folder "TERA\LIVE" you backed up previously.
Tried downloading again .... Same problem. Tried the unchecked create shortcut trick also did not work. It says Invalid Game Config.
Then you should contact the Support and tell them your issue.
Hi guys ! I am trying to install tera for like two days now without any luck. Every time Tera installs it reaches 100% eventually like in 5 hours with a 1 GB Internet connection. Still after reaching 100% it simply say Install and wants to redo the process all over again. Like nothing happened. And i get an error that says Installation Canceled: An internal error has occured ( Invalid Game Config ). Tried to add the game from folder and nothing happens.
I tried different Drives i have a SSD and a HDD. All with the same result. After install instead the play button i get a Install Button. I i try to install the game to the same folder it says the folder is not empty. Also the game after installing has 62.8 GB. can someone help pls? Anyone got this in the past and managed to do something about this? Thanks.
Another player solved his issue with that, by unchecking the "create shortcut" when he added game's path.

If server transfers aren't available atm, the only reason i think of, is that the migration season must completely end first.
Because there may be already claimed character names.
If you transfer server now, a character name of yours may conflict with a character name of a player who hasn't migrated yet. It would be unfair to force him change name, since he has priority on the server you want to move on.
If the launcher is still in "In game" status, cannot be closed by clicking quit of the GFs client in bottom taskbar. It gives an error message "Quiting Gameforge client: The client cannot be closed as the game is still running".
That's the reason he kills the process. He probably has a lengthy "In game" state.
Seems that the chars are "Loopholed". Their database ID is in lock state.
It's something like falling in terrain glitch, where not even ingame unstuck works and where the only solution is to party with a summoner (mystic / priest) and unstuck you (works only if the summoner is inside Velika city)..
In this situation, where you can't even enter ingame with these characters, a GM must relocate / unstuck your characters.
i submitted a ticket when it first happened , ive repaired twice already , my only option is to wait for support to respond back and fix the issue.
