Wow.. So much crying going on here. They even said they'd extend the rest of the betas, but thats still not good enough? Is the main population of TERA spoiled kids?

You all play on their terms, wich you accepted when you signed up. They never ever said they would keep the servers open 24/7, thats something you just assumed. Maybe all of you QQers should take your time and actually read through the terms of service next time.

Every game that has done a closed beta the past 5 years has stayed true to this system, so it's definitely not weird that people complain about this. Add the fact that they speak no word of this limited timeframe on the Pre-order page that proudly announces you can participate in the beta's for just €5.

I do agree that people need to stop complaining after the solution was announced though. They listened to us, but it's too late for CBT1.

Sneak Peek lasted without interruptions a whole weekend. But ofcourse, that PR event was aimed at those who are yet to give their money to Frogster as opposed to the CBT which is aimed at those who already did.

Why wouldn't it make sense to be able to decline random challenges on PvE server but still have the option to do it if both sides want it?

Don't ask me. I'm just stating why they aren't including it on PvE servers. PvE servers are strictly for the carebears who aren't interested in PvP. I realize it sucks for people who are inbetween but you'll just have to make sacrifices either way; none at all or a bit of PK.

    Quote from Aoikun;881281

I meant that declining the declaration is what sounded stupid to me, just exactly because of what you just said.

    Oh right, didn't notice :D

    Quote from Aoikun;881113

I tought the declaration must be accepted, but just by writing it I realize how stupid does it sound, gosh....

At first thought maybe. But if you put some thought behind it, it makes sense. If you give guilds the possibility to decline it defeats the purpose of the system. It wouldn't be a war if the other party could just decline.

    Quote from Zolwiol;880912

Why not make it like Korean servers but without the outlaw system. Sorry but GvG is just too big a feature to completely disallow it on any type of server. Note that your guild doesn't have to participate in any GvG activities even on PvP servers.

Yes they do. If a guild declares war on your guild it automatically starts. Hence why it's not included on PvE servers.

    Quote from Zolwiol;880786

Isn't the no GvG on non-PvP server thing for beta test only? It would be very stupid not to include half the game so arbitrarily on a specific type of server.

How so? PvE servers are there for a reason; They don't have the PvP features. Only BG's I guess. If you want those, roll on a PvP server. Just don't complain about being PKed tbh.

    Quote from Konaldan;880609

But if the politic of EU (frogster) is to remove PVP content on PVE server, I want that they remove PVE content on PVP server.

So childish. "But he gets a candy while I don't, so he doesn't deserve it either!"

    Quote from Konaldan;880333

Well, so what is the bonus feature for PVE server ? And on KETERA nobody crying about PK because it have malus... Having PVE server with 70% of the content is useless... And if someone want play in in "peace", go playing on a solo game. I'm PVE boy but I want be able to do GvG some time.

Bonus feature is you get to PvE in peace. KTera has a completely different system and virtually no PK since once you kill 10 people you're pretty much crippled from debuffs. If you want to experience the full content, roll on a PvP server. It's that simple.

Because otherwise you could declare war on a guild and have PK on a PvE server. PvE is pve. PvP is pvp. There shouldn't be a mixed server since that'll just end up like a carebear paradise because of pvers crying their eyes out about being PKed.

I find it awesome that people who got lucky to get a key are complaining that they get to play the game. Seriously i would be happy if i were one of you to actually have a cbt-key.

Nothing against people that complain about not being able to play due to the time-frame, but those who just flame because they would like to play the game more are just really annoying.

    tl;dr
shut up and be happy that you can play the cbt

Umm people actually spent money (Pre-order) to get into the CBT's. So they do have a right to complain about this.

It's sad to see that a PR event such as Sneak Peek runs 24/7 for 3 days in a row while the crowds that already gave their money to Frogster get shafted with a 9hr time limit each day.

Will just quote my post here:

    Quote from Sage;870997

Okay so it seems that this patch removes the "old not working(?)" HD textures and replaces them with new working ones (hence the test tomorrow) since people who finished the download say their folder is 23,6GB as opposed to the old 23,7GB.

    Makes sense I guess.

This explains the test tomorrow, and the fact people noticed a difference in graphic quality etc last tests.

    Quote from Shizuka;844675

I wonder why there is this beta programme, what are the reasons for such a complicated scheduler in stead of just leaving it open and closing for maintenance when needed. So basically for about 2 months the beta test will be on in weekends 1 weak out of 2.

    Quote from Spacetime;844702

I'm dissapointed however that it's not every weekend and/or not the entire week.

You don't seem to get the general concept of marketing. And more precisely, the whole "leave people wanting more"-concept.

    Quote from Knutzi;840790

will the level cap be removed for closed beta next weekend?

I highly doubt the cap will be removed all together in Beta's. Most likely it'll be set at 30~40 range, depending on what Frogster thinks is a doable level range to achieve for most people in the CBT period. They obviously don't want go give away too much either..
