Display MoreHaving played the En Masse version of Tera until some months ago, I re-installed the GameForge version onto my Windows 7 computer to renew my acquaintance.
Upon reaching the server splash screen, my pointer moved to the upper left corner of the screen and kept returning there regardless of my mouse movement. Tested my mouse with cpstest.pro where it worked fine.
Now, I have a mouse, a Huion tablet (for 2D gfx work) and a SpacePilot 3D controller (for 3d gfx work).
Disconnecting these additional controllers didn't seem to help.
I read a solution that said to switch a flag in one of the .ini files to turn off autodetection of a game pad.
That seemed to have worked.
I restarted the game, created two characters, (I badly miss the En Mass character screen music, btw); I had to type the names I selected in backwards, for some reason. So for, say "Robert" I'd have to type "treboR".
So, anyway, I then logged one of them into the international server.
There I discovered trouble with my keyboard; a would send my character left, s would send it back toward me, but w and d seemed not to be working. It's a middling quality Logitech keyboard with which I've had no problems.
Out of habit, I touched my Spacepilot controller.
All of a sudden, the speakers let out this terrible screech that didn't stop. The game froze. Alt-tab didn't work; ctrl-alt-delete didn't work. The reset button didn't work; the power button didn't work. I had to flip the power button on the power supply itself to shut my machine down.
After the reboot, it all seems fine, but I'm afraid to try running Tera again.
When I had the mouse pointer issue, I tried moving the pointer with my mouse, which was frustratingly futile, then I tried my Space Pilot... which caused my speakers to put out "noise" over the background music of the splash screen. Finally I resorted to the tablet to pull the pointer to the quit button (a keyboard option for leaving the game would have been nice..)
A side note; if possible, I would love to be able to control my character with the Space pilot. It'd be a more natural controller for me, since I'm used to it. But I'm guessing it's set up some kind of conflict with the game, and I'm not going to plug and unplug a tool I use in order to play Tera.
My mouse pointer also snaps to the left corner but my controller works fine unlike yours. Did you see any solution to it? I really want to play Tera's gameforge version but without a mouse its kinda impossible (I am not very accustomed to controller yet)
