I dont usually post in this forum, but it appears that this topic will not get enough attention if I dont do it here.
Im here to
1) get the attention of BHS to fix a bug for Warrior Tanks that existed since Skill Advancement was introduced
2) and to also get their attention to the weak party buffs a Warrior Tank gives compared to the other 2 tank classes right now
1) With the addition of Skill Advancement, Warrior Tanks got the option of "Dueling Scar", which is the lvl 67 Skill Advancement.
Im gonna post the description here, so everyone understands what this Option SHOULD do.
Effect: "Adds a stack of Dueling Scar after successfully hitting target with Rain of Blows while Defensive Stance is active. Targets with 7 stacks of Dueling Scar are stunned and their Endurance decreased by 9%. Boss Monsters are not stunned and Endurance decreased by 1.5%."
Meaning that this Endurance Shred effect happens after 1 full Cast of Rain of Blows (it involves exactly 7 Hits). This means that bosses in Dungeons usually would get their Endurance decreased by 1.5% since they cannot be stunned. HOWEVER...
When this came out, Bahaar was already in the game and it didnt take long for people to figure out that this Dueling Scar Option didnt work on Bahaar.
Why, you ask? Because Bahaar has a stun phase meaning that it got coded as if it can be stunned. This means that instead of the 1.5% Shred the 9% Shred comes into effect. But it doesnt because the 9% version is overwritten by the superior Healer Endurance Debuff (Volley of Curses or Triple Nemesis).
This has been forwarded by multiple players including players from the tester team, but until today nothing got changed.
I did not think much of it since it only involved one Dungeon. Now Killing Grounds NM and HM are out and you know what?
Exactly, you can stun the boss at a certain time meaning this whole Skill Advancement Option is completely useless for this dungeon AGAIN.
It does not give additional Endurance Shred like it does on normal boss monsters. I send a ticket in as well, but i dont think Gameforge can do anything about it. This is a matter of whether BHS reads this and realises that this is not coded correctly.
Just a few options to fix this problem:
1.1) Delete the "stun" option of it.
1.2) Delete the 9% Endurance Shred option and make it 1.5% on every monster.
1.3) Recode monsters to not be able to get stunned (just in the short time it actually needs to be stunned). This one involves more work tho.
2) This bug makes the class even worse than it is right now. But even if the bug would get fixed, Warrior Tank needs at least a slight buff to their class.
And by buff I dont mean personal DPS since its probably a tiny bit above Brawler right now meaning its the strongest tank class right now in terms of personal DPS. The problem is that it does not give strong enough party buffs to be able to keep up with the other 2 tank classes.
Even the group dps is not on par to be honest. Its just sad to see people not even trying to play well when running with you because they already know they will not be able to hit a new best personal run no matter what. And by that i mean every class. Im pretty sure every DPS player here reading this ran with a Warrior Tank once and im pretty sure you like the feeling of extra attack speed, but the missing damage increases like Adrenaline Rush or Rhythmic Blows makes this tank class bad for every single DPS class. Warrior Tank gives permanent buffs, which is a nice thing since it seperates this class from the other 2 tank classes and gives something unique. Here are some sugeestions of what buffs could be possible without making this class superior to the other 2 classes:
2.1) Increase Dueling Scar Shred from 1.5% to 4%
2.2) Add a line to the Deadly Gamble Skill Advancement for Warrior Tanks which lets your party do 6% more damage during its duration.
2.3) Make the cast of Scythe/Aerial Scythe give your party a damage buff of 3% for 6s.
Those are just some options and I obviously mean that only one of those options should be implemented to not make the class too good. Im pretty certain that even after such a change the class would not be superior to a Brawler for example.
I just want this tank class to be viable for DPS players again and to not be forgotten about like Berserker Tank was.
Please forward this to BHS and if youre a DPS player and have some kind of opinion concerning this topic let me know.
