It is better i post here what they said exactly for not creating confusion, this is what was written to me exactly.
If it doesn't work for you might have done some mistakes or you have a different problem that need a different answer. Don't delete anything!
Be sure you are using the right version of the game and the right region.
"...With the latest patch, to access the game you need to use the Gameforge client. To use the Gameforge client, please register an account here: https://gameforge.com/en-GB/sign-up. After you have one, you then will be able to link your old Tera account to the new Gameforge account.
In order to link your TERA account to the Gameforge Client, please login in the Gameforge client with your Gameforge account first.
Once you’ve logged in, click on TERA in the list of available games. Then, click on the ‘person’ icon and select ‘Add account’ from the dropdown list.
An ‘add account’ popup will appear, in which you need to insert your regular TERA login credentials – the email and password you’ve used until now.
If you don't remember your password, please use the following form to reset it: https://en.tera.gameforge.com/user/lostpassword. On this step, please setup simple password, without any special characters.
After doing so you will receive a confirmation of the linking – you can now log back into Arborea and resume your adventures! ..."
ANOTHER THING I DID WHEN I TRIED DOWNLOADING THE GAME BY SIGNING IN WITH THE SAME EMAIL
IS CREATING DUPLICATE ACCOUNTS. INFACT THEY SAID:
you have currently attached two brand new Tera accounts to your Gameforge account with the email ***********
You still however need to link your old account by following the steps provided earlier!
ANOTHER THING I DIDNT KNOW WAS THAT I COULDNT USE SPECIAL CHARACTERS FOR RECOVERING PASSWORD. THIS IS WHY I KEEP TRYING FAILING AND CREATING DUPLICATES.
