I will highly suggest warrior and valk for beginners(valk has less button mashing than warrior), but generally, every dps class performs equally (within 10%-20% margin) . In terms of the upcoming patch (not sure which patch you're talking about), everything is possible (nerf and buff). Since I'm not a prophet, I will leave 2nd question for someone else to answer.
