How long does it stay in this state? Older/slower or system with connection issues may take longer to get back into a "play" state as the process may take longer to disconnect the process. Also have you tried using the quit option using desktop icons? (lower right by clock on windows to avoid having to kill the process?) When is the last time the computer has been restarted as at times systems with longer up times can have processes get hung up?

"You can't use that item at the moment" when trying to open, any known reason why this is not functional? Being I never see anything at the mystery merchant I picked these up to see what I get for the fun of it and now seems 15 coins wasted as the box's wont open. Tried a few different level toons so does not seem to be a level issue as with the fishing bait that was change, but the information on such was not, bait not usable now I guess till 67 yet the quest to fish daily is 65?

Also noted that a few smart boxes turn into a random box that just seemed to give bravery potions. Would prefer to get the item out of the original box, sadly I can not remember the second one I had, but one of them was the picture perfect smart box that gave the pixie costume and wings. I see there is still a smart box for the costume, not sure on the wings any change to get at least this combo returned over a bravery potion in its place? At least the wings returned!! Sadly I had 2 boxes that did this and not even sure what the other smart box was I had saved in bank.
