Can you provide a screenshot of the merchant window with you placing the items in the merchant? Are you using a normal Item Merchant, or a Specialty Merchant, etc.?
Though chances are you might have to contact Support and see if they'll assist you with trading the item(s) for gold, it wouldn't hurt to see if this is something very specific prior to sending in a ticket.
Here's a screenshot of me selling it to a normal merchant, and here's me selling it to a specialty merchant. You can see neither have anything in the "adjusted amount" tab, whereas other items do. Here's a screenshot of me selling another random item, and it shows 10 gold in the adjusted amount instead of 0.

Honestly, if these items offer gold, and nothing else, sell it.
If they offer low values, like the hypnotic device, but have a dismantle value, dismantle, unless you're seriously strapped for Gold.
However yes, Weapon Re-works took place which made a bunch of items unusable and we also just added new gear as well over the last few patches.
I dismantled/sold most of the useless items, but I'm left with gamme instance reset scrolls which estimate the value at 1500 gold each, but when I go to a merchant it doesn't give me any gold. Is it a bug ? Also thanks for the weapon rework info, I'll look into it.

As the title says, I have Gamma Instance Reset Scrolls leftover and it says their value is 1500 Gold each, but when I put up at the merchant to sell it says I'll get nothing out of it. Is there a specific place I'm supposed to sell them ?

I don't know, I haven't played in 6 months or so, as such I have no idea what's new or old.
There's also no patch notes that I could find listing all the changes so I don't know anything. -
So I logged in today and went into my bank, only to notice half of my materials either say "This old item has lost it's spark, dismantle to obtain metamorphic emblems" or "This item is no longer usable, sell it to a shop for gold". Are there new materials introduced to replace these ones ? Or is it just a mistake ? I don't wanna get rid of them just in case.
