Display MoreI asked the same question right after the migration became available and got the same it-can't-be-done answer.
However, I found a way to do it.
With a bit of searching, I found an old forum post with a gameforge.com link to an offline installer for an older version of the client. This installer allows you to choose the client's install location. Once installed, you need to open and close the client a couple times and it will update to the current version of the client. My client is currently on my D: drive and seems to be working fine.
It would be nice if Gameforge would provide a similar offline installer for the current version of the client.
Alternately, you could create a symbolic link between where the client wants to be installed and where you want it to be installed. This will allow it to function as if it's installed in the default location while actually being installed elsewhere. But the process is a bit complicated and requires the use of the Command Prompt/Windows PowerShell.
Do you happen to have a link to that post?
