by default the client is installed to the C drive, that is something you can not change. However, you can choose the location where your games will be installed.

by default the client install path should to be change to have option of were I want it installed or the client is useless and should never been pushed for download to run any the games at this time and date. as this is Windows 10 not windows 2008. 90% of todays gaming providers all ready has this option for there gaming client app.
