*Edit: It could also be a swift disconnection of your ISP which messes with the updating process and just borks the launcher which causes it to freeze and crash. but I don't know, just throwing possibilities.
It's definitely not that, as I'll close everything out, restart the download and it stops exactly where it froze up last time. Tried with antivirus off and on and still does the exact same thing.
I just uninstalled the game. Got tired of all the issues and none of the fixes.
Have you tried re-installing the launcher and the game?
Considering you have to update the game regardless, might be worth a shot to do a clean install again.
It's a fresh install. Same issue before and after.
It's not an internet issue. That for sure. 200+ down and 12 up. Nor is it a windows update issue. All windows updates are inactive during specific hours.
From last night when I left the downloader open, then found this section, then wrote out my post, it sat frozen for 15+ minutes, meanwhile no other program was having any issues. Multiple tabs open. It's not a CPU or GPU issue either. Intel 9900K and 2080RTX.
I start up the gameforge client and an update starts, then the updater freezes and won't complete the update. I've tried restarting the client, but it just freezes again at the exact same spot. Has been like this for weeks.
