Actually wasn't driver problems. I just got myself a ROG Strix 3060 and the problem is fixed. lmfao. >_>.

This problem often occurs on new computers or on computers where the operating system has just been reinstalled (especially when update to version 10). This is due to the fact that DirectX is installed in the latest version on a new system, and TERA also requires components of previous versions.
In general, this problem is solved quite easily – just additionally install DirectX End-User Runtimes, which includes the missing DirectX components of versions 9-11. Hope this helps you.
Yeah, well, I'll have to wait until I upgrade my GPU, crossing-fingers that will fix the problem; I've already re-installed plenty times (as admin, as normal) the end-user runtime_2010. My last-stand will be formatting with another version of w10 cuz this has come to the point im really aggravated and irritated. Try for your time anyway

Hello, so.. yea: DirectX Error 5;
I managed to finally Buy and assemble my PC -Master Race-
the only missing part is the GPU; yeah i know have a DINOSAUR GPU, But this is what i can use for the moment (rtx 3060 soon).
I've been searching about this error all over google, tried the fixes and methods other people shared, sent a support ticket to GF, the result was the same. Curious thing is i can play other TERA servers (like teraCZ - sorry if i shouldn't be saying such details in the forums, im trying to be as specific as possible so anybody here can halp me TnT), I can play BnS, LoL and everything runs smoothly. this error comes up when I try to launch TERA, using GF Launcher.
PS: Tried all scenarios for the "Disable full-screen optimizations" with every .exe inside the tera folder, indidually, every single one altogether. running w10. THANK YOU SO MUCH in advance! -
Display MoreIt's amazing how entitled most NA players are, even after coming from EME, that literally didn't even try. TBH EME was the reason I stopped playing Tera because of how bad they treated their players.
GF said Nov 12th 2020. That's it. From where I am in an EST time zone, it's not even noon yet, and there's still 12+ hours left of Nov 12th 2020. Not promising a specific time is a smart move. It means they're not backing themselves up into to much of a corner. Inb4 the entitled NA brat comes in and says "Giving a date is backing themselves into a corner." Yea, your right, they should have just given no date and let the servers launch unannounced. Or maybe they could have used their time machine to foresee any problems, then go back in time to November 11th and give them to the dev team before they even happened.
Seriously, there are HUMANS, HOMO-SAPIENS OF THE SAME SPECIES AS US working to make this right the first time. I don't plan on spending any money on this game (sorry not sorry I'm on a budget) so these kind people are doing this for me FOR FREE. I literally don't pay their salaries. So giving them the benefit of the doubt, and reminding myself there are REAL PEOPLE working on my issues FOR FREE helps keep me from being an entitled NA brat who just whines that it's not Tera time yet.
Anyone complaining about no servers yet has probably never worked a retail job where Karen's up in your face yelling at you because she bought the wrong size dress 4 months ago and now can't get a return after wearing and washing it twice.
I ain't no white knight. I made this account just to tell off the entitled NA brats who have zero patience and expect everything to be done when they want it.
