    I'm not sure if there was a classic server in EU before, but if not, then I support the idea of holding such an event.

    There was one event back in March(?) of 2019 for like 3 - 6 months *Weeks*. I'm not entirely sure how long actually since I've missed it entirely.


    The Server was when the Reaper was a thing and Avatar Weapon was a thing (which turned off many people, I would've been turned off aswell tbf). there was a big interest in the idea of an oldschool version of the game regardless and there still is afaik


    Anyways i support a Classic Version of Tera (preferably permanent), considering the direction they're going... the Devs are completely deprived of ideas and innovation so, imo they have nothing to lose at this point.

    Then we'd have to talk about updates, because yeah PvP is fun but playing years with only a handful of instances as endgame would be boring, maybe not for you, but surely for me and people like me.
    What do we do ? Same path as current Tera <.<

    In my honest opinion, the thing that kills current Tera right now is that players are told: "you can only have fun at the end (Endgame)", which is pretty bad considering the lack of things to do in endgame AND the journey to that point is so DULL that people quit midway because they lose interest. I've seen complaints about not being able to play with 4 of their friends in low level dungeons causing to lose interest and the fact that you can only play with 5 players in a dungeon only in endgame...just that alone is demoralising.


    Last time I logged into Tera to do some pvp matches, I waited HOURS just to log out at the end. and also continually going afk at town hubs to que for PvE dungeons got boring really really quickly. (it was also hard trying to get into a group that isn't doing the hardest dungeons)


    So to answer your question of: "will there be anything to do later on in classic Tera after we played most of the content?" to which I will answer with another question: "Is there anything to do RIGHT NOW after we reach Endgame content?" - - - the reason I ask it like that is the fact that the only content existing right now is at endgame and THAT'S. IT. nothing else.

    Leveling? Dead.

    PvP? good luck finding any.

    PvE? Dungeons only.

    Crafting?lmfao.

    Fishing?...Why? why is this considered a must thing to do just to stay afloat when it comes to upgrading your gear blows my mind.

    Exploring? what for?

    There's just a lack of everything to do in this game that the golden ages of Tera did in-fact had, but had to be completely killed off like the things I mentioned above.


    So again, Classic server might not be the ultimate thing that will make Tera top the charts as the best mmorpg, but it will be way better than anything many players are experiencing (or rather the lack of...) now and most likely in future patches to come.

    My English is not that great but Excuse me if this sounds rude but, I really don't understand the "Split Playerbase" argument at all.


    I mean... players who don't like current Tera don't play at all, and if you add Classic Server and they play that, I still don't think you can call it a split because they enjoy Tera Classic.


    So Basically having both Current Tera & Classic Tera servers means people have options to choose their desired version. and having ONLY Current Tera means they have no choice but to... well... quit.


    I can understand the desire for players to stay and play, but forcing them to play a watered down version of the game only makes them quit entirely (like me and many others as far as I can tell).


    [If there is a chance for Classic Pve and Pvp server, might want to make matchmaking (dungeons and battlegrounds and the like) Cross-Server to allow a bigger pool of players to join]

    Finally created an account just to say this... *WARNING MASSIVE WALL OF TEXT*... TL;DR at the end:


    I have played this game on a different account back in 2013-2015 and tried it out again back in 2019-2020 (had to stop playing from that point on because I had to join the army),


    the time when I played was an absolute blast! (I feel like the downfall of this game started at the Avatar weapon patch and Reaper patch).

    IMHO the combat in those days was Awesome (Not as flashy and fast as it is now, but i feel like it is worse compared to back then).

    Monsters were fun and actually hard to fight at some points and required you to use your abilities, the world was very active... from the Starting Zone (I don't understand why Island of Dawn was removed and changed to what it is till this day still) to end game. there was always a group, always desire to either level, do a dungeon, or just straight up open world pvp or que up for a battle ground...etc...etc...


    The thing is... THERE WAS STUFF TO DO ALWAYS, either leveling and challenging BAMS by yourself or with a group, go through dungeon and get powerful and superior gear compared to the one you get from quests, or just straight up go open world pvp or que up for battleground pvp ( i know many people mostly prefer open world pvp but i also appreciate the instanced battlegrounds), even CRAFTING was a thing remember those? again etc... etc...


    Now? the only minuscule of content this game has is what?

    leveling your character? nope. you just blitz through with either running to Red "?" marks, or just spam dungeons to get ridiculous amount of exp for doing mundane tasks with no challenge to them. thats it, within a few hours you are max leveled and are "ready" for endgame.


    What else... PVP? what is that? that is no longer a thing. there is barely 1 or 2 battleground que popping if not at all. open world pvp is non existent.


    How about the open world PVE? side quests turned to crap and are meaningless, might aswell remove them. normal mobs are just props to be completely honest, they almost serve no purpose other than being part of the "Red" main quest line.


    How about BAM's? are as hard as they were back then? BIG NOPE! they are absolute TRASH SPONGES, all HP no threat, no challenge,nothing to learn, nerfed to into NOTHINGNESS! jUSt pREss 123 and win! (you can grind those but...what for? there are better ways to get exp) the only hard BAMs which have any sort of challenge to them, are those at endgame, in the form of what they called it? "Guardian" and the Rare world bosses last i've checked (which i have yet to encounter).


    How about Dungeons? from level 1-65 dungeons are just exp grindfest if you dislike the main quest line grindfest (both options are crap). no difficulty, no rotation or awareness check, garbage loot that you already get by the scripted questing of the main quests. you will only find and actually experience a true dungeon experience at End Game ONLY.


    ***[This is my opinion but i think flying was and still is completely unnecessary. flying OVER mobs rather than fight through them, and completely disregard player to player interaction outside of main/town hubs because they never see eachother, yes i know they've added would quests which you have to use a flying mount to participate but still i think it was unnecessary]***


    So basically, when a new/old player first logs into the game and sees all the above ^^^ why on earth would they stay? why would they be active? every cycle of a patch, top gear of last patch gets TRASHED and needs to be replaced, no pvp, pve in the form of dungeons only at endgame, MIND NUMBINGLY DULL QUESTING with no challenge whatsoever, new players learn absolutely nothing through their course of leveling and are getting TRASHED by veterans who are barring new players from joining...

    "oh you didn't check the THIRD PARTY GUIDE ON YOUTUBE for a NORMAL run?" *Kicked*, "first time in dungeon? *Kicked*, ALSO if you make a single mistake and the party wipes, very few people will continue with you in said party. only if you join a static group you might be tolerated but good luck.


    I've seen threads and some videos desiring a "Classic" version of tera. which honestly i think will be more active than current tera by miles. old rest system? i get people don't like this but was it such a big deal? (honest question). no Apex skills? i couldn't careless about apex to be honest. so anyways, i welcome a classic verson of Tera compared to whatever this abomination of a game it is now.


    I know i went on a massive rant and many are not gonna read this, but i've just been holding (a portion) of my frustrations about the direction this game has taken.


    TL;DR Game is garbage now for new and old players. the only ones who remain are Whales, and genuine players who cannot find an alternative to Tera's combat, and even the theme of the game is actually somewhat interesting (for me atleast) and grinding for loot whether from dungeons or separate gear for PVP was actually not that bad even borderline fun, you had a goal.


    Feel free to dissect my points and call out things that are wrong or outdated, or have either changed improved or even gone worse.

    I can't promise I'll reply to you cause as the title says: "Forums less active these days" stands true. current Tera Sickens me too much. I wouldn't have made this wall of text if I didn't care for this game.

    so again: permanent Classic server is welcome (IMO) might be the one that will either return players or even bring new ones, but i guess we can't go with "IF this and that" at this point i guess...
