Thank you everyone for your feedback. For now I think I will hold off starting the game again, and instead think fondly of my memories of the early days.
I hope the game's issues will be fixed soon, for the sake of everyone here who is clearly passionate about the game, but wishes it to be better.

I played TERA during the English release beta and a lot during the start of the game's release, but fell off at some point.
When I got back into it around 2014-2015 I noticed especially the EU servers had started falling behind on content patched and had even included several pay to win mechanics like removing a lot of natural ways to obtain Alkahest. This forced me to play on NA servers, but a game like TERA real suffers from high latency.
I'm curious about the game again these days, and was wondering how the state of the game is regarding forced pay mechanics or whether or not the EU servers are far behind NA still? Would the current players still recommend the game to returning players, or do you expect the game to reach it's end of life soon?
