I'd be curious to know if anyone (Gameforge, or better Krafton) is actually looking for a real solution to the problem. Yes, Gameforge's solution has done away with fish-botting, but it's also made fishing completely pointless. Removing fishing from the game entirely would have achieved the same results.

I'm not sure if this is related, but since the last patch Tera seems to be using A LOT more system resources. My PC is better than the recommended system requirements, but by the time I get to character selection Tera is already using 5.5GB of RAM and over 50% of my CPU. It gets worse after I actually get into the game - up to 94% CPU use if I'm in a crowded area.

If your computer is closer to the minimum requirements, maybe that's the cause?

I think it's a level 68 quest now. I'm pretty sure it was on NA too.

I think you misunderstood Raederle . When NiteLite presses the "Play" button IN Steam, it works correctly. But when installing the game, NiteLite chose the 'create a desktop shortcut' option and when using that shortcut, the region select window doesn't come up.

As a test, I added a desktop shortcut through Steam and I can confirm the region select window does NOT come up when you use the shortcut and it sends you straight to the EU servers. Pressing Play in Steam still works fine.

I'd guess that when Gameforge added the region select window to Steam, they overlooked changing where the desktop shortcut directs to?

But TBH, I'm a little disappointed. Tera Rewards was an account-wide thing - not per-server - so it's disappointing that you can only apply it to one server or the other. Surely they could have parcel posted it to the first character to log in on each server.

That would have been nice to know BEFORE I claimed it on Velik. I'd much rather have it on Kaia. Can support move it from one server to the other?

Umm.. Banks aren't cross-server.

You guys got my hopes up saying it was claimable by all characters. It's only claimable on one server.

Is there any way I can un-claim it from one server and claim it on the other?

Pretty sure none of your character info is stored locally, it's all server-side. You don't even need the game installed to migrate - either before or after.

Is there any way Gameforge could unlock some fashion coupon costumes for Elin Valkyries? All of the Valkyrie-only costumes are also Castanic-only, and of the rest there are only three that Valkyries can wear (okay, so technically there are five, but three of them are different colors - silver, gold, and black - of the same costume).

Even on Steam you should still uninstall the EME version and reinstall the Gameforge version.

As far as Steam is concerned they're actually two different games. They just happen to install to the same folder. Steam only links itself to your Tera account automatically for log in purposes, but you still need to reinstall the game. While you CAN just install the Gameforge version over the EME version, it will only trim 6GB off your download while leaving a bunch of junk EME files in the folder. Also, if you decide to uninstall the EME Tera later, it will take most of the Gameforge files with it, and you'll have to reinstall again.

You realize that, while new to us, this is how it's been in EU for a while. I think it's fair to say Gameforge is well aware of what the consequences of removing gold values from fishing are. If they haven't restored the gold values to fishing in EU yet, they're not going to do it for us either.

It did that for me too at first. Then a few times the Tera login page gave me an error saying it was already linked instead of going back to the Steam log-in.

So it should have worked? (all my characters were then when I logged in through Steam)

I was told that if you played on Steam with EME, the linking should have automatically transferred.

But maybe it didn't? This is the link I was given to manually link with Steam:

While I agree, having to create multiple accounts to access different parts of Gameforge's services is kind of silly, how exactly is that "cheating" players? The migration process involved creating a forum account (or using an existing one) and linking the GF client and Tera accounts to it, did it not? I've figured out how to use both the GF Client and Steam with a single install. You need to install the game in your Steam library location (...\Steam\steamapps\common\TERA) with the GF Client FIRST. Then when you install the game in Steam, it will just verify the files (no downloading), and the game will be playable once verifying is done.

Alright, I think I've got them linked now, but the Gameforge Client still doesn't recognize that the game is already installed. Am I going to have to install the game twice if I want to use the client and steam?
