I think the disconnect in strictness here comes from the fact that in NA with EME Tera was rated M, while in Europe it's rated PEGI 12.
What's baffling is that like RoseNA said, there are some really offensive terms that are not censored and available to use as names. Why even have a language filter when words like that aren't censored while words like "cracker" (discovered that one a couple days ago) are.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. I'm not even sure exactly when adventures started working for me again, so I can't tell what might have happened at the time to fix it.
The prices are skyrocketing because gathering is one of the most tedious and boring activities in the game. Sure you can send partners on adventures - I did that on 10 characters, and now I have 9 characters with exhausted partners because they only brought back enough mats for figurines to recharge the partners for one character.
I fully agree, instead of pushing people to gathering by making it the only source of something basic we need, maybe they should have tried to improve gathering? I'm not really optimistic about seeing any improvements since the last time they touched gathering was to nerf it and make it even more tedious and boring.
Is this the bug where it says you have 3 pets already on an adventure when none actually are?
I had that problem almost a year ago in NA, EME had no solution and forwarded it to Krafton - so they've known about it for nearly a year at the least. On one server it fixed itself after the next maintenance a week later, but on the other server I couldn't send pets on adventures for months. Then one day I checked and I could again.
I've seen several people post about it more recently so it sounds like rather than Krafton identifying and fixing the problem, mine just magically fixed itself?
Wait, Latch randomly wandering off and pinning herself against a wall is an INTENDED mechanic? Wow.
I've never seen her go through the gate and reset doing this. That's kind of broken and should (but probably won't) be fixed.

If the servers are physically in NA then they have to comply with NA laws. I am no expert on this but I guess most companies play safe and try to take the step that will avoid them fall under lawsuit.
I'm not sure the location of the game servers is relevant, the account information is what's at issue, not anything in the actual game. TBH, exactly how GDPR is applied seems to be clear as mud and open to interpretation, and you're probably right, most companies seem to take it to extremes to make sure all their bases are covered.

Company mergers, buyouts, and closures are so common it's business as usual to transfer customer accounts. Half the screw ups at my last workplace was fixing crap after poorly managed mergers. Most buyouts happen SOLELY for customer accounts. Customer accounts are the single most valuable asset for the vast majority of businesses I can't believe I'm actually having to explain this to someone. I've even seen smaller companies crash and burn because a high level exec moved on to a competitor and took 80% of the customer accounts with him because he built a personal relationship with those customers.
Gameforge needs to comply with the EU GDPR. EME couldn't give them our personal data without our permission.
Almost all the non-avatar weapons got removed from the game (since no one should have ever been using them anyway). Just make sure you're always using the most current one or you won't crit.
Honestly, warrior is complicated and if you haven't figured out how to effectively stack edge yet (I'm guessing that might be the issue), I can see it seeming underpowered.
And most importantly? They actually sent a notification to people they were going to do this.
EME sent out at least 2 emails (which some people seem to have not gotten) and spammed it all over their social media for months in advance. Quite frankly, I'm tired of the "They didn't notify anyone" argument. They did.
I've heard of GF being scummy for years while playing NA Tera from EU players who intentionally moved to NA Tera, but this truly takes the cake.
I love how people go back to that argument. That was YEARS ago. More recently for a stretch of two or three years it was the other way around.
And most recently, it seems both companies went down hill.
It was 100% within GF's capacity to just migrate over everyone's accounts and allow people to transfer them as they come back. EME was shutting down, even their website could've been transferred over to GF ownership.
That would have been illegal. EME could not legally give Gameforge anyone's account information without their permission. I'm sorry you lost your account, but GF and EME were not going to break the law for you.
What was the business meeting like to decide to give decade long players 6 weeks to transfer or lose everything?
TBH, the deadline was most likely predicated by EME closing, not any decision on GF's part.
You still get avatar weapons, but now they drop whole in level appropriate dungeons/areas instead of in shards.
Honestly, no class is ever underpowered while leveling. The only exception is if you don't get your avatar weapon from a dungeon before moving up to the next.

That's disappointing because it significantly ups the prices. Crafting costs the same as buying them did - more if you have the 5% discount in Cutthroat Harbour - and based on the prices for ores when I looked on the broker yesterday (there were none at all the day before), it's cheaper to just buy the figurines at 5-10x the prices they were at the merchant.
I really don't understand this decision. What purpose does removing the ability to buy gifts serve? I haven't looked, but I'm assuming you can buy gifts from the store?

I'm aware of that, but that would require wasting a bunch of time gathering - they require 10 cobala and 10 xermetal ore each. Is there no non-broker way to buy gifts anymore?

I forget, at level 62, do you have a Redeem Vanguard Initiative Credits button in your Vanguard Requests screen? That's a free teleport to Highwatch.
Alternately, if you have any Vanguard Requests located in Val Oriyn, they should have a teleport button that will take you directly to their location.
If all else fails, you could ask in global if someone will parcel you a teleport scroll for Highwatch or the Trading Post.
Edit: I almost forgot, if you go back to the airship platform outside of Velika, in the place where you talked to the Popo to board the airship, there's now a teleporter that will take you back to the crash site.
If it's anything like it was with EME, Krafton controlled the chat filter and EME couldn't change it. It wasn't even that Krafton didn't want to remove it, they just couldn't be bothered.
And yes, a lot of the words in the chat filter are silly. Pls fix.
