  • Possible bug enchanting twisthard?

    So, i think i found a bug enchanting my new twisthard gear for my slayer.


    As far as i remember, when you reach level 65 and you get the twisthard gear (from the league of levelers event), your item level is at 434. After enchanting to +5 the weapons and other things, it is around 435 and after enchanting the weapon to +9 , probably 436? dunno. The thing is, after equiping the new enchanted gear my item level goes down to 432. :P of course i did stop enchanting as soon i noticed this.

    I am missing something? thanks in advance.

    Two of my usual gathers are aman and high elf. Thats why i was getting different speeds mining and harvesting essence. I was going crazy. Never thought on this before. I will need to test it with a different race- lol. Please any mods move this thread to the apropiate section since this is, of course, not a bug.

    So, it takes me the same time gathering essence than mining no matter if i activate the low quality pick (-2 seconds) or not (both starts at 13 seconds). In fact, what is my surprise sometimes it is the opposite, it seems to take me less time to gather essence than mining.. wtf. And yes, i checked i dont have any other boost already applied.


    Someone experimented this?

  • Another Missing Item...

    I know this is really a surprise for you that the devs continously make these mistakes, but i tell you, fortunately for you , you apparently didnt play other mmorpgs. Im afraid you will be completely insane discovering that more than 50 achievements and material sources for those achievements are completely gone and players didnt know about it until well, someone tries to do em. This happens in soooo many mmorpgs, seriously. Im still surprised when someone post something like this lol. It is not because these things are irrelevant (for the devs they are) it is just too much work to keep monitoring things that are only used for achievements and "useless" stuff. They just dont have the time or the will to do those changes right, as simple as that. Happens everywhere and for what i saw so far, Tera is doing an "amazing" job in this matter. Only a couple of things missing, you should see other games lol.

    As Melayne said, levelling is fast if you are lucky enough to have party members when the time comes. Because the levelling courve is completely tied up to party dungeons, meaning if you dont find a party when the time comes, you will be stuck in the same level until you do, unless as Melayne pointed out, you do battlegrounds to keep levelling up, and then you can keep advancing and solo those dungeons you couldn not did before. Is the only way. This is a problem of this game and was never adressed, but fortunately nowadays the playerbase is more active and you should not have many problems, at most waiting a couple of days until you can find a party.


    About equpiment, as other mmorpgs you should not really be worried until you reach end-game (level 65).

  • Help with UI please

    i suposse those are apex skills because i never ever saw that effect in my archer. Also keeping in mind how broken and lackluster is the ui right now the best thing to do is get used to it. On the other hand as others mentioned maybe it is just a mod. Something totally recomended to use if you want to avoid the default horrible ui.

    Yeah, this is nice. If you could add a label on the material, that will be perfect, otherwise, trying to identify each material is going to be a pain (i know most of em will be easy, but i still didnt learn the icon of many of em). Btw, the image resolution should be far bigger.. its too smalll..!!!.

    Or you can just go to the wiki. With the exception of the very new materials all of em are covered there. Thanks for the guide, specially if you plan to keep it updated or with more specific locations.

  • Servers lag?

    Ive been suffering from sudden unresponsive problems and lag since way back. It only happens once or twice a week, but when it does, i cant play at all. As you say, i can move the character just fine but when im going to try to do any ability, it will not response after one or two seconds later. In my case it doesnt matter if it is a dungeon or open world, its all the same. Also i notice that i can see the ability animation, but the special effect activates way later.


    Since nobody complained in all this time (or they did but not anymore, it seems a "minor" issue for most people go figure) i just assumed it was something in my end causing problems with Tera (its the only game i have these problems) and i just learned to live with it. When it happens i just close the game and wait a couple of hours to the server load to go down or i wait to the next day. Cant do anything more.

    Of course this game is based on looks. I didnt say you CANT chose a regular mount instead. I myself (as i said) still use my lupus nocturnus all the time, but i also use flying mounts as well. The point here is, if your primary goal is to go faster and have a mount to, well, go to places, you should chose for obvious reasons a flying mount. And this doesnt need a complicated understanding. Its pretty straight forward. If you prefer just a mount you like it without giving importance to go faster or whatever, sure you can chose a regular mount or whatever you like. I never said otherwise.


    And the final point is that, even if you like a regular mount, there are sooo many flying ones to chose from and many of em are really cool, that eventually a high percentaje of people will end chosing a flying one. And this is a fact. The majority of players, (if you play regularly you will see for yourself) will use flying ones.


    And thats it, add anything you want to the discussion, i finished my contribution.

    Erm, flying mounts are way faster than regular mounts, and can avoid many obstacles when you have to hurry anywhere you want to go. In fact, in major cities you will probably even use flying turbo instead top many times...


    A mount purpose is to go faster , so, flying ones are always far better. So, they are the way to go. Its just common sense.


    If they could improve ground mounts, making em faster on ground than flying ones, they will have a purpose. But since they are almost always slower even on ground..


    Sure, you tp anywhere, but if you cant or you dont want to... its like saying why we have better things if they are pointless? lol. It makes no sense.


    And why is the black panther not available anymore? because nobody had the guts to grind for it? lol. I dont see why they would remove it from the game, its not like they are losing money or something. Its always better to have more things to chose from, not less.

    I am a feline lover. And i wanted the black panther really badly, because well it was free. But after learning how tedious it is to get it, and discover that flying mounts are just the way to go for everything (and that you get a free one at level 65), i just discarded my way to get it. I prefer to save gold to buy a flying lion or something like that. Or in the future just buy one from the store. Sure, i agree that there are regular mounts that are far more beautiful or neat that flying ones, but again, it is just not worthy. And for example, the actual flying mount tera club members get is really awful (im even planning to replace it with a regular pegasus when my tera club membership ends loool), and even if it is a flying mount, the previous one (the lupus nocturnus) was far more neat and impressive. Also it was a forever mount. The actual one is just temporal as long as you are tera club member. It was far better the lupus, even if it wasnt a flying mount. It looked far better (actually i love it).


    But no. The raptor doesnt look better than any flying one, in fact, the animations are really awful for a dinosaur. I didnt try the black panther but it looks ok, but again, you will need so much patience to get it, that by the time you can actually use it, you will have another one better... you have the flying lions that are, honestly, amazing, you have other flying cats as well, and you have the leopards, that look better than the panther. As i said, i wanted the panther because i am a feline lover and i wanted to have a small collection, but it is just too much the grind for it.


    You could always have both, and use em as needed. A ground one and a flying one. I do that sometimes. But in the end, even doing that is too tedious and you will end just using a flying one rofl.
