... Some experienced players do help willingly and some won't even if they were asked something simple.
... and some will give you wrong answers.
I can only guess as to if that is done with a purpose or not, or what that purpose might be. So instead i'll just leave it at that.
Which is ultimately YOUR fault for not teaching them how to play it.
This does remind me of something...
One thing i forgot to mention was:
Especially Killian, but to some extent Mystel too, have a reputation for having a toxic community.
I'm not going to defend those toxic players that have no sense of tact or compassion, but not all people that reject a newbie who wants to go Hard Mode do this because they hate on new players.
Tera endgame is not easy mode. Most of the people i know had to practice many hours of wipes in AAHM before being able to clear once, and i am not talking about consistently. In the first weeks after the patch you could count the number of parties that had cleared it simply by looking at the ranking board... it wasn't full, at least on my server (Killian and Mystel do have more players ... so who knows what it was like there). With that in mind...
Personally when I reject someone for my AAHM party on Sunday at 5pm, it's not because I am not willing to give them a chance. Its because I have raid at 8pm and want to eat something before and not waste 3 hours in AAHM and not even clear the boss once.
There is a time and place for try runs, it's not all the time. Nobody is 'entitled' to the time and commitment of anyone else. Some may give that willingly. Some may not. But acting as if its your right to claim that time and commitment will in fact *not* make it more likely to receive it.
It is still true that if you never get a chance you can never learn, but in my experience...
Be nice to people, and they will be nice in return.
