    Nice fairytale.

You are so negative it's depressing. Throughout this thread all you have done is say how everything that keeps you from achieving anything in-game is everyone elses fault, and that everything is bad.
    Seriously.
... if you are always like this, I can guarantee you, it's not the others fault that they don't take you with them. It's yours.
Nobody wants to hang out with a negative Nancy during their time off, while doing something that should be fun.
    ... or you're baiting.

... Some experienced players do help willingly and some won't even if they were asked something simple.

... and some will give you wrong answers.
I can only guess as to if that is done with a purpose or not, or what that purpose might be. So instead i'll just leave it at that.

Which is ultimately YOUR fault for not teaching them how to play it.

This does remind me of something...

One thing i forgot to mention was:
Especially Killian, but to some extent Mystel too, have a reputation for having a toxic community.
I'm not going to defend those toxic players that have no sense of tact or compassion, but not all people that reject a newbie who wants to go Hard Mode do this because they hate on new players.

Tera endgame is not easy mode. Most of the people i know had to practice many hours of wipes in AAHM before being able to clear once, and i am not talking about consistently. In the first weeks after the patch you could count the number of parties that had cleared it simply by looking at the ranking board... it wasn't full, at least on my server (Killian and Mystel do have more players ... so who knows what it was like there). With that in mind...

Personally when I reject someone for my AAHM party on Sunday at 5pm, it's not because I am not willing to give them a chance. Its because I have raid at 8pm and want to eat something before and not waste 3 hours in AAHM and not even clear the boss once.
There is a time and place for try runs, it's not all the time. Nobody is 'entitled' to the time and commitment of anyone else. Some may give that willingly. Some may not. But acting as if its your right to claim that time and commitment will in fact *not* make it more likely to receive it.
It is still true that if you never get a chance you can never learn, but in my experience...

Be nice to people, and they will be nice in return.

Don't worry about the right choices early on. Leveling a new character is rather fast and getting to Frostmetal gear doesn't take long either.

Currently Meta would be Berserker and Warrior. But in 2 Months things will change, but we can't actually be "totally certain" how.
Ranged DPS with high mobility and survive abilities is definitely Sorc. But looking at up coming k-tera patches Sorc will be one of the weaker classes and probably not Meta.
So ... go Archer. It's actually rather beginner friendly, while still having very good damage potential, and it supposed to still be good in 2 months.
Gunner is ranged DPS but has ... challenging mobility. It's not really slow, but not a class i would recommend for a new comer.

Regarding servers. Do not go to the new servers. Unless you want that "complete newb in a big unknown world" experience i guess.
You see this poster from Bahaar. He said some really strange things, which simply aren't true like "every class is meta in its own way" ... yeah w/e ... Berserker and Warrior are just a lot more meta in their own way than the rest apparently.
Bahaar is one of the new servers. Whenever we get people from Bahaar or the other new servers via IM you can be almost certain that they will have a lot less experience and general game knowledge. Apparently there aren't many long time players to show the new comers the ropes on the new servers, ... who would have thought that. xD
But honestly. I can understand the appeal of wanting to find out yourself, relive that first MMO experience, but ...
Population on the new servers is so low that its hard to find a group. Go to the populated old servers if you want a decent chance at finding groups.
(Hasm... i mean Yurian, Killian, Mystel, Seren)

Frequency of adds is unusually high?
Some things i noticed while watching it once:

    During Antaroth
There was one part where the tank had secondary aggro and Antaroth did his jump stun on him. You said "the boss can do this attack on primary or secondary aggro", but he will always do it to the person with the purple, secondary aggro, circle, ... and yes in the video we see the tank with his orange and purple circles.

    During the first boss
The attacks of the first boss aren't quite right. It seems to imply that the boss will always do 2 stab attacks if he starts a stab, but this isn't so. He can do one, two or three stabs, and if he does three stabs he will do his shield back swing after the third stab. Also there is no mention of his shield backswing.
During the part where you say "basic in-out attack" you are actually showing circles footage which may be confusing since they have an out-in component to them, especially since the "basic in-out attack" can be out-in as well if he does his backstep first.
His slash-frenzy attack is missing too.

    During Antaroth
There is no footage of anyone actually destroying one of the black-white bubbles at the right time (we call it "bubbles" or rather "kugeln" in german), there is mention of when to destroy them but a video can do more than mention it.
There is also no mention of the confusion that will sometimes happen with new players during the black-white mechanic since the bubbles have a color and an aura some people get confused if you say "i take a black bubble" because they look at the bubbles and see white bubbles with a black surrounding and black bubbles with a white surrounding but aren't sure which part of the bubbles colors, the bubble itself or the aura, you are referring to.

Wow ... 8 hours and no one has answered. Oh well... ill give it a try.
    #software
    1. Don't know - Don't use Steam
    2. I never noticed that. So can't comment.
    3. BHS um ... well ... I can't say that I have less FPS than 2014, i did have a long break in between, maybe it was bad then and i wasn't around to know?
    4. There are a few guides:

I'm sure there are more. Maybe some which are more up-to-date.

    #changes
    1. When I started again and one of my chars had a changed name i was allowed to rename it when i logged back in. No name change voucher needed.
    2. Can't claim to know. But probably not.
    3. Don't do pvp so can't comment on that.
    4. Supply and demand work as in any other mmorpg. Things people want of which few are available are expensive. Things that are highly available which people don't want are actually hard to get rid of at a reasonable price. So ... no, i guess not. Yet many of the things I would like to have are more expensive than I have the time to farm for.
    5. Anything up to Stormcry +9 is bankable. The only unbankable material so far is Veilthroch from AAHM used to upgrade to Heroic Oath.
    6. This is a can of worms and deserves its own post really.
If you simply check in which order the classes appear in AAHM on moongourd you'll find:
    Berserker, Warrior, Slayer, Gunner ...
... and that is where it gets wierd. Gunner isn't usually considered a top class. It also doesn't show how superior to the rest Berserker and Warrior are atm.
IMO Warrior currently has the best skill kit. Lots of iframes, very good damage potential, damage mitigation allowing more dps uptime. But Berserker has more damage potential, there is no denying that.
The grapevine has it that with the coming second Awakening Reaper, Ninja and Gunner are supposed get real good. Though mostly Reapers, Ninjas and Gunner talk about that so I tend to take those assumptions with a grain of salt. Before the first Awakening people said Slayer would be top tier as well... Well we don't have many Slayers that compete with top berserkers and warriors. Maybe because there simply aren't many slayers, maybe because warrior and berserker kits are simply better and the good player chose to reroll as those instead. Only time will truly tell.

    7. not enough context to understand the question... maybe you mean the season for pit of petrax, tower and AAHM?
    8. w/e "the best" means ... IMO the best instance i AAHM because "best" = most fun, most challenging
but you might mean most profitable ... in that case ... go do guardian legion with a mystic rolled as DD ... that certainly is the most profitable

I run 2 swift vrysks myself.
I know exactly what you mean with AA 1st boss.
Getting staggered is annoying and a slight DPS loss.
Getting knocked down because you couldn't get your block up in time is a HUGE DPS loss due to loss of hold the line.
    So yeah ...
Either you choose to listen to other people who tell you something is "not ideal".
Or you realize that if you want to try to get really high HPM #s for spring attack ... attack speed allows you to play somewhat more aggressive.
Also the default variation in spring attacks crit rate is larger than the difference of 12/24 crit rate by default. So you may not even notice them missing on individual runs.

... I noticed that having more power doesn't affect slayer much ...

    Why would you say this?
This is certainly not anymore or less true than for any other class.
Measuring the effect of power vs the effect of crit is challenging at best and hardly possible at worst.
There is an interesting post by Bernkastell. If you google his name and slayer you should find it.
Its an outdated guide but what is described within can still help to understand the relation of crit and power.

A general rule of thumb is 1 power = 2 crit. This is not a "its always true truth".
Certain skills in this game will simply "max out" their crit rate at some point.
Ask lancers about Wallop as an example.
Interestingly enough Slayer has a few of these skills... not with as low a crit cap as wallop mind you.
But I've seen OP HT Slayers who have critted their HT 80% running 350+ crit, and i really doubt that OP HT wasn't critting every hit at that point... just HT wasn't.
I don't have hard numbers on where the crit cap for OP HT is atm. But if you've reached it you will also have long reached the (100%) crit cap for MS.
And MS will still be your most contributing skill.
(... most of the time if you get a lot of HT resets it may over take it ... but those are always without OP).
So once MS has 100% crit rate pumping more crit will simply end up doing less for you than before and 1 power = 2 crit stops being true since your most contributing skill no longer gains anything from it.
Now I haven't actually seen OP HT max and its also really hard to actually figure out when it does since you will be doing a whole lot of HTs without OP which will falsify if you are getting 100% crit rate ... unless you are somehow able to just remember if every OP HT critted or not. But since OP HT will max at a different point than HT once OP HT maxes and you keep adding more crit instead of power you get the same effect ... crit starts being worth less per point than before.

So power might feel like it isn't doing much. But that certainly isn't true. Crit without Power will not get very good DPS results.
