Nah for real tho, this is getting old. Gonna try to instal the game via Steam now cause it looks like the regular thing is just a lost cause. I think it's kinda insane for a company to be THAT unprofessionnal after all this time.
As i said, obviously not an individual issues if a bunch of other people are reporting the same issue...
And nope, i installed the game something like 1 or 2 weeks before that. As for now, i did a fresh installation again. We'll see what happens now. I still believe that an issue (or more) has to be fixed, it's not the first time that the launcher is having problems and probably not the last.
Display MoreDont get me wrong but its more are individual issue for your state. I never got problems with the luncher past 5 years. Even after swap between 2 different PCs and 1 laptop it always worked well, for every system i run. (even with modding, mostly worked well)
I know your time is value but you are better off to ask the support in such cases or look around the support forum with similar issues.
The only thing i dislike on the luncher is the massage after closing it before Tera.

Considering it happened on two different PCs i don't think this is an individual issue, unless launcher issues are magically connected to your account. Plus the outcome was different in both cases, one simply didn't want to start the game because of the "current version unknown" and the other started the game but i was stuck on the servers list screen.
Anyways since it seems like others people are also having this issue i think it would be nice if the said issue was investigated. @Shiro you were very quick on censoring my posts and giving me a "warning", as usual. But at least if you're doing your job, do it at a 100%.
I think having a bunch of launcher issues and such things is kinda bad, especially since you guys at GameForge absolutely want people to be online for a certain amount of time on the daily (BGs events schedule, "allegiance" event during the week-end which is forcing people to be online for hours to get ehm... "rewards", random Guild BAMs spawning time, which is forcing people to stay online for hours sometimes if they absolutely want to do it.)
So you know... Instead of just censoring few words because truth hurts, do your job the way it's intended and don't forget to forward the issues.

Update : tried to log on from my laptop and i'm stuck at the "Servers list" screen, can't even get to the characters selection menu on Killian.

I'd like to mention how astonished I am to realise that a flipping gaming company is unable to fix it's hecking launcher, even tho it's been years that it has known issues.
Today i tried to start my launcher, but i kept getting that shite "Current version unknown" over and over. I simply don't understand how can I get such an error on my launcher when literally the only thing i do with it is starting it. After trying to fix the issue with a couple of solutions given by friends, it's now downloading the whole thing all over again and it's gonna take a while. I don't have time to waste downloading the flipping game over and over just because you kids are not competent with something you should have master years ago.

Yeah, the only issue back then was to have 5 - 10 FPS during Nexus.
Between Nexus and our days they added 5 new classes with a bunch of stupid "shiny" animations. Back in the days the only kinda "annoying" one was Hailstorm, i think i can even remember people telling sorcers to not use it because it was causing "lags". Bunch of patches that did not necessarly improve the whole thing, just to give an exemple : people been complaining about FPS issues since the last patch got released, it was maybe only in the instances but that just shows how things can get worse through the years. Even tho people would think the situation gets better.
Because we're currently the best PvP guild in terms of fighting and people just need to find an excuse. Thanks to the whole proxy shit getting out of hands, it gives them a perfect excuse for it. Meanwhile there is still no proofs.
I mean, anyone can do the same. The only difference is the scale of the accusation. Here we have people accusing a whole guild of something that doesn't exist. People used to blame the gear difference, the class balance and now the fashion is with all the proxy accusations, simple as that. I could go to VO right now, get beaten by X person and accuse him of using proxy even tho I have no proofs.
@Borsuc It's obviously not a thing, you should be aware of it since you're around for a while now, unless i'm mistaken. Game has bad optimization, we all know that. CU map has a slightly better optimization in terms of FPS because it's like an instance area and they got rid of all the Velika NPCs and some stuff like the banks counters, crafting stations etc... But apparently it doesn't prevent people from crashing when there is a huge mass of people at the same spot.
It's nothing more but people looking for excuses.
^ This shit needs to stop. People are just getting upset because they get roflstompted in PvP during CU, nothing more.
So far i crashed : 2 times against Tsunami, 2 times against Score, 2 times at Piccoli Tower weeks ago when their raid was there, 1 time at Khaganate tower when their raid was there last week. In at least 5 of these exemples an other dozen of people was crashing with me.
Am i gonna accuse any of these guys that they're using a tool to crash me / us? No. Why? Because game is just not optimized at all and we all know it. Did people from my guild accuse these guys to use a tool to crash us? Maybe once, but we instantly told the dude that he was probably wrong.
Do i have a bad PC? No. As i said, game just can't handle when there is 80+, 100+ players fighting at the same spot. Easy to understand.
People crash from every guild, even Codex. Time to suck it up and eventually get better at PvP during CU and stop looking for excuses.

Quand bien même vous n'avez pas envie d'apprendre l'Anglais, même si c'est une langue facile à apprendre que vous avez surement appris un peu dans votre parcours scolaire si vous n'êtes pas des cancres, les fautes que vous dénoncez en Français sont mineures. A l'heure qu'il est je pense qu'il y a des trucs largement plus graves à corriger sur le jeu que quelques erreurs de ponctuations ou des petites fautes de traductions sans réel impact sur votre expérience de jeu.
De toute façon vous avez tag' le mod du forum et il a dit qu'il va voir ce qu'il peut faire, vous verrez bien sa réponse.

Je faisais une simple recommandation c'tout. Moi perso c'est grâce aux jeux vidéos et plus particulièrement à TERA que j'ai appris l'Anglais. Je pense que à force, lire les patchs en Anglais vous épargnerait le fait de devoir les chercher en Français, à condition bien sur de ne pas être fainéant. Ma langue maternelle je la comprends, ci-mer de t'en inquiéter. De toute façon le problème dénoncé dans ce sujet n'est pas tout à fait correct, il y a déjà de base des problèmes de traductions de Coréen à Anglais. Donc bon...

Some classes waited for years to have relevant changes, took them years to make Breakaway bolt an actual i-frame, took them years to finally change the splitted damages on rain of arrows. And that's just about archer, which is the class i'm playing. So imagine for the other classes.
