Envy to all who actually did apex, I gave up, it's too hard for me. No idea who on Earth thought making it PvP oriented is a good thing, not everyone plays PvP and I personally hate it so after being killed by this bloody Vergos follower 12 times today, I give up and will never do apex on any of my characters (as a side note, being such a weak player I have no idea how I could get 3 charas to lvl65, oh well, luck of the eternal n00b...). I enjoyed Tera for over 700 hours, still of course I am called a noob and have no idea how to play which obviously has been proved to me today. But why this game must be only for super-duper players - Idk. I thought it is normal to just have fun and make reasonable progress, well, I don't have any fun anymore.

From my expirience with the range classes in tera, i could tell that all of them got its unique survive-abilities and mobility.
If i were you i would try them all (sorcerer, archer and gunner for range dps) and see later which one you would like to gear up.
Good luck and have fun!well sorcerer and gunner have to be close otherwise they wont deal good dps overall archer is the only true ranged atm but it's medium DPS class, Zerk or Warrior are the most OP atm, but after 2 month it's gonna be archer so u might aswell start as archer till u get used to the game, it's one of the easiest classes to play,
also trappiez u might consider that not every new player rush to endgame content, i started actually doing endgame content in RMHM patch, even though i started in TSHM but i couldnt do much and i still had to get used to gameplay as i used to play tap target games before it, i say it would take new players atlesat 2 months or more to have a general idea of the game and what they should be doing, 1month if they are experienced game players -

Nice Idea, performance is no prob, if server do just spotchecks every 100th paket. But its generated local, so u can ez find out this algorithm.
ALSO Node.js isnt the only thing that runs proxy.bat there is alot of other programs, whatever you say this thread is a complete waste of time, and it doesn't help the community but it hurts it more and more by the huge stupidity of people who try to prove a point which they don't have and if they did they don't understand the basics of it.

actually there is notification in Dps meters, there is notification if you alter the data centers you can have ingame notifications for enrage w/o proxy/dps meter,
proxy isn't a hack by def. go learn what hack actually means. -

THIS. This is exactly the reason why i keep saying that people are so addicted with TERA, they're ready to use anything for it.
As for "Why are they not fixing it? Making it bannable?" it's easy. Let's say they fix it, people start to get banned and so on... We're not only gonna have the usual 4, 5 clowns defending the proxy typing here. But probably DOZENS of all these clowns who are gonna get out from their cave "Muh gaming experience!" "I'm forced to play with 45 Ms instead of 25 REEEEEEEE" "I'm now bad at PvE again and can't show off on Moongourd :(" etc... And probably even more sending tickets to GameForge support! Imagine if GameForge staff would ACTUALLY need to do their job by answering all these tickets, instead of playing League all day. Imagine asking people to do their god damn JOB, what an heresy.
It's too late to start banning people for that, and GameForge is well aware of that and probably BhS too. Only thing GameForge / BHS did these past months was to "solve" that issue in the chat via Megaphones, so i think they probably used all their efforts for that and still gave each other some handshakes "Good job guys! We're really an awesome company."
Anyways. If you're still a clean player, one who isn't using proxy at all, the best solution is just to give up on playing TERA actively. Just be one of those guys who are logging daily to keep VG buff tier 3 up, or do some BAM quests and eventually spend a bit more time on it during the week-end, like for CU or whatever and that's it. It's not like PvE in this game is any good or challenging, it's not like BGs are any interesting (due to the awesome issues the MatchMaking (not proxy now?) provides), it's not like the open world PvP scene is alive... Aaaaaand most importantly it's not like there is good players left on the game, to actually provide you help if needed, or show you how to play the game in a legit way(essentialmana for guides maybe? legit way? lol). Most of the players either being new players who are lost and will eventually quit soon enough, or "veterans" jerking off each other via their so called Moongurd runs or BG ranks.

why not take it in another point of view as having low latency is how the game is supposed to be im living with 100 ping and its a pain to play tera with server side depending skills where rapid fire is hurting my dps not making it better and with patch 65 coming where archer will be more dependent on rapid fire like hell it is a big screw to a high ping player like me i cant play archer anymore let alone all those classes which require less ping, the problem isnt with proxy more like with the game.
people wouldnt use proxy if they found that the game has no problems to begin with. -
