    Hello everyone,

As the title suggests, I'd like to talk about the possibility of unlocking classes that are still unavailable for male characters/ non-elin characters.

I understand that the game was born in Korea, and Koreans aren't lovers of serious looking characters, but rather they prefer cute characters; that being said, EU isn't KR, and here many more players would prefer playing with characters that had cooler and more combat-ready outfits and appearance.

The fact that GF is expanding even in Russia makes me think that they intend to keep investing on the game, so they could ask Krafton to add male versions for the currently locked classes, in order to allow the EU community to expand, which would ultimately benefit even Krafton, since they get a percentage of GF's earnings, and if GF's earnings rise, so does their percentage.

Now I know, many people would start arguing with reasons like " valkyrie is a name for females, and reapers are bound by lore", but those aren't enough to justify saying that adding male versions for those classes wouldn't be possible.

An example of an easy solution, that would actually help expanding the lore in future Patches, could be something like : "a new threat has appeared in Arborea...the new menace is so great, that the Valkyon federation had to expand its ranks as much as possible..in order to do that, all races and casts gathered and shared their knowledge and traditions. The ninja clan teaching how to face enemies from the shadows, the valkyries teaching how to tap into the power of the gods, the scientists of the Mysterium letting their elite corp turn into even bigger squadrons of gunners, to help tame the enemy from afar with mighty artillery, the reapers from pora elinu would focus on teaching to veterans of the federations who had lost families, comrades or loved ones to tap into their hate and desire vengeance, to harness the darkness in their hearts and redirect it against their foes…..Thanks to this great common effort, the Valkyon federation is now preparing to turn its new armies against this terrible threat."

This way suddendly ninjas, gunners, valkyries, and reapers could be made available at least for 1 new race and/or a male version of the already existing ones...the choices would depend on a huge community poll, so that we could make sure most players get what they want.

Sure, they would have to spend time and money to make these changes, but as I said, giving players the chance to go for a more serious and combat-ready character would be good in the EU environment , so it would eventually pay off.

Let me know if you would like to have these classed available for male characters, and if you would be up to participate to the poll.

Not an expert on PvP but when it comes to open world PvP a simple level restriction(e.g. you can't PvP with players X levels below or above you)could solve most complains.

That..the problem with PK was that it had no boundaries...a lvl 65 killing a lvl 10 in pk is not a fun way to play..it's just a lvl 65 retarded kid enjoying bullying low lvl characters..a lvl 10 has literally no way to fight a lvl 65, so you're basically forcing people to either die and stay on the ground/go back to town, wasting time, or change channels, which is basically game obstruction..

But yeah, if for example a lvl 43 would've only been able to pk people between lvl 38 and 43 ( since they'd share the same avatar weapon, so roughly the same dmg potential), then it would've made sense to still have the pk system ( or maybe base it on ilvl instead of just level, or both level and ilvl).

Tbh, who'd have guessed in 2012/13 that this game would last even that long, after all these nemesis games showing up one after another, each one causing TERAs "death"?

Whales are all you need to keep the game up.

Just think about it..if we count 500 whales on mystel, 300 on yurian, 300 on seren, each spending 500 euro/ month on the game, that's a monthly income of 150.000 euro..just from whales (and there are more whales than that)..no reason to spit on that..closing the servers would be a waste of money.. especially since they spend 10 euro a month on servers , considering how badly they perform, so they get to keep 149990 euro for themselves every month, so they can pay their holidays in the carribeans.

    Hello,

I would like to address a problem concerning the instance matching system:

As of now, we have several dungeons that according to the system require 456 or 461 item level, which are usually a huge mess when it comes to random IM parties; the ilvl requirement to enter does not match the ilvl that would allow players to clear the dungeon within a decent time, and that causes many people with 480+ gear to instantly kick people who meet just the base ilvl required.

Sure, the obvious solution would be for those kaia players to look for a skilled and geared party via LFG, instead of instantly kicking random players whose only fault was having entered the dungeon which the system told them they could enter, but since we can't expect too much from toxic players who expect everyone to speedrun dungeons within 6 minutes with 0 deaths, who obviously aren't smart enough to understand that the instance matching isn't the place to go if you're looking for that kind of playstyle, I suggest a slight raise in ilvl requirements for the mentioned instances ( bring the 456 to 461, and the 461 to 473).

Having said that, we should move on to the other problem concerning the instance matching, which is the "rookie/skilled" mark:

Even if we were to slightly raise the base ilvl required in order to join dungeons, toxic elitists would still insta-kick players who meet the gear requirements but don't have the "skilled" mark for the respective dungeons; in order to fix this (since again, it's too much to expect them to grow a brain and understand that if they want skilled speedruns with 30m/s and 0 deaths they should go LFG) we desperately need a training version of all these dungeons.

The training system would make it so that before a player can unlock a dungeon for instance matching, he needs to clear it 10 times via training mode getting the requirements 10 times (aka enough damage and few enough deaths, so for example when you enter the training mode, the system evaluates your performance, and adds a +1 counter to the total 10 required to unlock the dungeon via im only if you close the training version meeting the performance level needed).

The training mode wouldn't be bound by daily/weekly entries, wouldn't consume adventure coins, and would have resurrections without gold costs, and wouldn't give neither drops, not vanguard rewards.

If both these points were to become a thing, it would mean that every person joining the instance matching had the good ilvl for the instance (instead of the current ones, which are too low), and they would also have a good deal of experience that would allow them to go through mechs and to clear the dungeon fast enough for toxic elitists to not feel the need to rage and start insta-kicking people or disbanding parties after 4 minutes of the first boss).

Let me know what you guys think ( btw, I think I heard something about an incoming training mode for GLSHM, but since I don't know exactly how that would work, and 1 dungeon with training mode would not be enough, I still felt like this was Worth discussing).

or they could just make the mounts dyeable, but obviously that won't get them enough money ='D

They'd probably just add an item like "mount dye" in the tera shop for 300 TT, which wuld work like a "veteran apothecary dye" ; there's your income..tons of people would start to buy tt to purchase the item, or look for TT sellers. finding new streams of income that aren't about making the game more p2w wouldn't be a problem, I assure you.

Only asking Mystel players is such a disrespect to the rest of your playerbase. Some instances on yurian have been close to unplayable this past week.

Except this is the EN forum section, so asking about the EN server here is only obvious…

there's a DE section and a FR section where they can ask players about the situation of the DE and FR servers.

So stop acting like people from yurian and seren are getting no respect...you got so much respect that you have your own VIP server with your mother Language, when people from the rest of europe need to adapt to a foreign Language.

I don't think it's a bug or system problem that causes the lag.

After the first issue with ping a few days ago, things are now fine on that regard (been back to the regular 30-50 ping for the past couple days), but the servers still keep lagging.

The fact that yesterday many people had to wait in queue to enter the servers is probably an indicator of the fact that the problem we're facing is that due to quarantine many new players entered the game, and many old players came back; that caused the servers to get overcrowded (I'm guessing since the playerbase has been decreasing dramatically in the last few years, they downgraded the servers, since they didn't need servers with high capacity, which cost more) , which then causes the general lags, so the situation will remain like this unless they upgrade to servers with higher capacity or the quarantine ends so players drop due to people going back to work/school.

Of course I'm no expert on how servers work, so these are just my thoughts on this matter; take them as such.

Finally a man with a spine that does a photo shoot of age appropriate characters and it's absolutely awesome!

    Well done sir!

    Thanks buddy, appreciate the support!

Gotta be honest..at first I wasn't sure wether I wanted to share them or not, cause I like some of them so much, that I'm a bit jealous and possessive about them..didn't want other people to use them ahaha , but since I can't use them all anyways, I'd rather show them and hope they give inspiration for cool badass looks, which the game desperately needs .

Hope to draw more people into using this kind of looks in game

except my phrase was meant in a general way, to explain that what someone thinks doesn't equal what everyone thinks. so the You could be you, or a guy at gameforge.. Guess it's my fault for not phrasing it more specifically as "someone doesn't care =/= everybody else doesn't care".

The fact that at GF they don't care, if anything, makes this matter worse, as they're supposed to care about feedback, if they intend to keep the game up (sure, whales kinda cushion them on that, as they serve as a safety that keeps the game up no matter how crappy they let it get).

The trade chat was meant to have the trade messages, and the lfg chat was meant to have lfg messages...why would you say that the global chat was meant to have those?

Chat sections exist for a reason, same as they do here on the forum or on any other forum or game or discord...the only difference is that pretty much everywhere there is someone or something (aka moderators and/or bots) that makes sure those boundaries are respected by the users, unlike on tera, where the chat is complete anarchy, so you get people spamming WTS/WTB/LFG messages all day long on the global chat, instead of..you know...using the actual Trade and LFG chats, that exist exactly for that purpose.

    Hello everyone,

As the title suggests, I'd like to speak about the in-game chat, and how sad its current state is; due to the lack of moderators or systems that could make sure players can respect simple chat boundaries, as of today the chat is a complete and total mess.

All day, everyday, people are constantly spamming LFG and Trading messages all over the place, even on global chat, and that makes it very hard to keep the global chat itself clean and readable.

Now since the global chat is a very useful tool, especially for new players who can use it in order to ask questions and then be provided with useful informations, I would like to suggest if not the presence of moderators, the addition of a kickbot system, which would automatically remove messages whenever they are posted in the wrong chat.

It is sad that most players are too selfish or just too slow in the head to understand simple boundaries in a game chat unless someone forces them to do so, but given the state of things, I'd say that would be the best way to approach this matter.

If not moderators or bots, at least another "solution" could be increasing the cap for the blocklist from 120 to 2000; I reached 120/120 in just a few hours (just to give an idea of how many spammers there are…) and even with 120 spammers blocked, the chat is already somewhat cleaner..if the cap was 2000, with the current playerbase, you could significantly cut a major percentage of the total amount of spammers, which would leave you with mostly people who can respect chat sections.

    Greetings,

    Kaikanken.

My hope is that they're not available because they're working on the merge, so they don't want people to pay transfers in the last week b4 the merge and then complain about the fact that they had to pay once the merge happens.

I think that's because most players here known just how much the big guys in Korea(BH) cares about what European thinks ^^

They mostly ignore what Gameforge itself forwards to them (if it actually does forward anything), image just how much non-existent for them are we players in this forum, it's like the bottom of the bottom of the bottom level of relevance for them.

Not really sure about that..According to that line of thought, since Krafton only cares about what Koreans want (elins), they would've never added male brawler(which iirc was heavily requested by EU/NA communities; dunno about how many koreans wanted male brawler..I'm pretty sure they asked for the elin brawler).

But we did get the male brawler, which means that heavy requests from EU/NA CAN indeed have an impact.

If people decide to ignore the poll or to troll, rather than give their true preference and add to the feedback the poll can give to GF and Krafton, it's gonna end up like another wasted opportunity to voice our opinions...and this time not due to GF/Krafton acting dead-blind-mute, but to us shooting ourself in the feet.
