this was on untill 2019 i think, after 2019 it hasnt returned. as many other "old" events.

events now seem to be standardized monthly recurrences of dungeon entry blabla and enchant rates up ... events since a few months ,if you read them back in notes, have about the same stuff returning. maybe one or two things a previous one did not have. so im guessing it is either going to be the standard event chain from now on or they are having trouble working from home. ;P

i have more or less the same experience when i play. however, i am a bit under the requirements to play (8gb in stead of 12) so i assume(d) that was/is the problem.

well, exactly. even if i dont like saying it. buying from broker is not direct spending, it still relies on the one buying tt and putting things on broker.

    hmm.

just imagine you gave someone something for free, that person notices some flaws on the item and demands you fix it and give a full 2 year warranty. what would you think?

    exactly.*

or youve just spent 5k on a new desktop ( so you can meet tera's new requirements ^^)

and there is a customer next to you who has been given a free desktop which is somewhat flawed. so that guy complains to the shopkeeper, and the shopkeeper gives him a full upgrade and warranty and then he will have the same desktop you just paid 5k for.

because he has as much rights as a paying customer.

    what would you think?

    exactly.

    * = bear in mind i know why games are free to play, to lure more people and hope they spend money.

just examples so you understand my train of thought.

i dont like the cash shop upgrading any more than you do.

wish we could return to the times when games were niche-fun and for the love of the game, and not cashcows to be milked by ever-greedier investors, but we cant turn back time.

it is, but it has to have a source of income or it cant be maintained.

whether the business model they use is right or wrong, we really cant tell as we dont have access to their administration.

its our choice in the end if we contribute or not.

personally if i could i would, not necessarily to have BiS but simply to keep this game going and have some nice things from it/ in it.

for now, even with all the shortcomings that go with it, i am glad i can play this for free.

    69<--- pisces sign :)

you have just proved my point. you dont pay but expect full service and guarantee.

i might not like it but its théir decision.

whether its a good one or a bad one we cant tell, as we cant see into their administration.

for the time being im just (still) glad i can play for free.

i stopped giving too much of a damn about upgrading ever since patch "pay gold for everything and every try". limits my abilities but saves a lot of frustration- which, btw, is also a part of the business model. many get frustrated enough to say "okay wtf i'll just throw some money at it".

as for the response (or lack of) of dev's to answer our complaints: how much merit shall i give someone that gives me nothing as opposed to someone that spent 1000's ? hmm....*thinking*

never said their business model is a good one. :P

but many people on forum never spend/spent a dime on tera and still think they have a right to demand the same benefits as people that do.

if that should happen, who would pay anything if there was no difference?

nobody, and thus no income. and thus no tera.

i merely wanted to remind some of them.

(also got annoyed at the 99% negativity on forum. even if they made a good change someone finds something to complain about. could have been any other post i replied to, but it was this)

like i didnt notice latest patches are all pointing to shop lol.

"this isnt my first rodeo you know"

besides all that, choice dungeons include Ravenous Gorge. i did double check but it IS gone.

there are probably more than just that choice dungeon that are out of the game with the latest patch.

    for your information :)
