    I just want to point out that the use of scripts does directly effect the tournament.

    Scripters would naturally does more damage using less brain with the help of class script and dungeon guides. That would lead to faster and more efficient farming and then of course better gears.

    And no surprise that the tournament is not equalized (which is a very dumb idea). A few percent difference in gear is probably enough to make the difference in ranking.

    Not to mention the fact that the scripters should have all been banned in the first place.

    So I would say scripters defending themselves here have very few legs to stand on.

    The first quest of the account (per day) gives you an extreme EP boost. After that the EP earned is depending on a few things:
    - current talentsystem level
    - the more quests you do at a day - the less ep you'll get.

    Hey your comment regarding "But my own advice is to choose one of the seven soon-to-be-awakened classes, namely : Lancer, Warrior, Brawler, Berserker, Slayer, Mystic, Priest." has got me worried about playing sorc... i like priest but i hear mystic has taken over priest roll in endgame pve what about pvp? and can i still do my daily grind (vanguard etc) on a priest would i be better having a slayer/berzerker ready for awakening also, brawler how is it as a tank? and solo leveling/gridning endgame i dont mind tanks but it is hard to learn for endgame pve content or can you learn it slowly? also how does brawler peform in pvp?

    The rest of the classes,including Sorc, will get awakening in Summer 2018 in KTERA, which will probably lands on EU on Oct/Nov 2018. They get 17% raw damage buff but according to KTERA, it is nowhere near enough. But that is expected because it is BHS' usual money making scheme, by forcing people to re-roll to overpowered classes.


    There are no concrete data but as per Ktera stream, dps looks like this : Zerk : 5M, Warrior 4.5M, Brawler 4M, Slayer (???), Lancer and the rest about 3-3.5M. If you are prepared to play unwanted classes for almost a year then go with Sorc.


    For PvE, Priest looks as good as Mystic after awakening, Brawler is really good, or even preferred over Lancer. Brawler is also easy to play in PvE and pretty overpowered in PvP.

    New event server are definitely nice for new returning players.


    Some tips on top of my head :


    - You will get super buff for the first two times clearing any dungeons up until 3-stars level 65 dungeons. You can exploit this fact by not clearing a second time (resetting the dungeons just before the final boss, exception being the Medusa (not the Giant) in CR, and the bee in Sabex Armory). With this you can pretty much solo your way to 65 in like 4 hours max.


    - Get Master in one crafting profession (imho, the best is Alchemy then Weaponcrafting). Designs cost a ton on normal server but apparently very cheap on Manahan.


    - Gearing is more streamlined so it is more of a gradual process than bursting at the start of every patch like before. Can be considered longer grind depends on how you approach it and also apparently BHS has decided to double the lifespan of gear cycles (it's 12 months instead 6 months).


    - Sorc's guide on Essentialmana is still very relevant. They are doing OK-ish on DPS list now. But my own advice is to choose one of the seven soon-to-be-awakened classes, namely : Lancer, Warrior, Brawler, Berserker, Slayer, Mystic, Priest. They will be, without a doubt, the new FotM. Don't be surprised if your non-awakened class does less DPS than a Lancer :).

    The extra damage was dealt as soon as the boss hits me during HM animation. There are numbers on screen and in combat log. The extra damage usually ranges from 35%-40% of the HM itself.

    Well I am not surprised that most of the brawlers are not aware of this mechanic. It could be hard to see the additional number.


    But you really never meet an instance where the IoD bam dies even before your HM connects? That is because of the perfect block reflect.


    Try to look up Bernkastel's brawler guide. It will give you an idea how to play brawler properly.

    Please don't spread wrong information.


    Perfect block deals 40% additional skill damage on every successful block. So it is critical to always time perfect block on all of your hard hitting skills (HM and GP) and especially right before the boss is gonna hit you with quick multiple hit attacks.
    For example, if the boss hits your for 10 hits in 0.5 second (like Meldita trample) and you perfect block that with Haymaker, you will deal an extra 400% damage of HM, effectively hitting 5 Haymakers instead of one.


    This mechanic definitely matters and is much more important than trying to proc the 50% damage glyph with manual block, which generally benefits little in the long run.


    Brawler has so few skills, you shouldn't ever need to use spacebar. And in VSNM you can block everything as long as you have proper gear (perfectly rolled Misery for example).

    Alternatively, you can search on Youtube for videos from Sorc's PoV, preferably the same dungeons that you are currently running. There are plenty videos even with Dps meter visible. Then you can clearly see what you do wrong or what you can improve.


    My guess, is that you have low dps back time. Dps from the front and side will greatly reduce your crit power and crit chance. And you probably idle too much because of whatever the reasons. Skilled players should rarely be idle even for one second during the fight.

    Then you clearly doesnt know mechanic of this boss, you should make topic asking how to do cage not its bugged. You need to take red zones in order to get protection for purple ones so if you got 4 stacks you take 4 red and 4 purple zzzzz

    This is a known bug. I think people here are smart enough to know when a mechanic is broken.

    +15 Imperator is only 2-3% better than +12 Misery so definitely not worth the cost to +15 Imperator NOW.


    The only sensible thing to +15 now is vm9. If you want vm8, just buy it off someone else.

    I would still recommended going full crit factor for slayer at the moment.


    Next patch when MS gets a crit chance buff, i would switch etching to energetic. More AS and CDR is really good for slayer's flow.


    I would only pick Pumped if I don't have Keen or Energetic.

    Kapt it is not RNG timing. It is just badly made like someone mentioned on priest. Basically you gotta press in 0.1sec to chain it which is just stupid and impossible at times. Also animations are broken on each class so there is no suprise people would think it is RNG due to one chain on elf working totally faster/slower then on castanic for example (this is just from my personal experiance). They should just increase the time you can chain in to like 1-1.5sec like for many other slayer/warr skills. Overall bluehole didn't bother to actually equilize every class animations and chains.

    No dude. I have Priest and i can chain Final Reprisal 100% of the time. It doesn't work like that with Slayer KDS chain. And i have tested it for like 15 minutes. Hopefully it will get fixed with the next update.


    About the slayer buff, as you can see they continue to give slayer tiny buff patch after patch instead of a proper revamp.


    At our current state, slayer can only come close to warr/sorc/archer dps only when ICB bug with max multiplier (300%).
    What funny is, in NA Tera and RU Tera, ICB can be bugged in RMHM, while in EU Tera it cannot.


    Even after the latest upcoming buff in Ktera, i will still say slayer is still in bad shape because we won't ever have the talents. Even the crit chance buff for MS is pretty much useless, because i think we will still have to stack crit for OHS and UOHS.


    In the PvP scene, they are gradually fixing the glaring flaws of Slayers. But what i would like to see is completely removal backstab animation lock (make it like Ninja's). Remove Tenacity animation's lock and increase its duration to 10s.


    Also the Whirlwind effect is the multiple target-damage effect.

    It definitely works after first and second hit as well.
    @OP It's probably another chain that's ping dependant or you press the button for it too slowly? Or maybe you have kds on cd for a split second so it doesn't come off fast enough?

    I spent half an hour doing this chain over and over. And I tried slow chain, quick chain but it just doesn't work 100% of the time. Either my ping screws with me or this chain timing is as strict as Street Fighter Ultra-Combo :lol: . But i live in Germany so my ping is pretty much stable all the time at 39ms. I would like to believe that BHS is mocking the slayer class.

    My chain works only 50% of the time after 1st or 2nd hit of Distant Blade. It works more consistently after 3rd hit. Does anyone else have this problem? The buff is not even that good and BHS can't do it properly.
