They spawn every 5 hours if i'm not wrong, you'll see an in-game notice. They're always in the same 3 regions but with multiple spawn-points, the region is written with the announcement!

Right now i'm aware of 2 methods:
1) world bosses ( Hazard, Cerrus, Ortan )
2) Crafting duranium medallions

The fall of Tera started with Reaper patch. We just need the patch before Reaper. Also we need alliance patch but not with 3 big maps.1 Map is enough for alliance. It will be open world pk area.Swapping beetween 3 huge maps doesnt make sense.
Anyway these are dreams. They will never do that.So yeah, just sharing our dreams on this forums and nobody cares by gameforge ,krafton side LOL.Always hated Gameforge but what i hate more than greedy publishers is lazy Developers.
Tera is still a decent pve game and GF is doing a better job ( yeah you can say that's easy ) compared to years ago.
PvP got killed by Bluehole and even a Classic server would need updates at some point to keep players around, it'd be an endless cycle. -
I remember a thread on NA a year ago how the majority said how NA wouldn't close because Enmasse is BHS subsidiary and the merge/transfer would never happen and look what happened right now.
. Keep dreaming that Tera won't close soon, and with the exploits any many issues plaguing the game I would rather not waste my time on this game anymore.Just don't take the game as a job.
Spending time on games pretending to "build something" is pointless. Every game gets shutdown eventually and you surely can't put your playtime on your resume so every hour spent playing whatever kind of game is worthless except for the entertainment you get from it.
From a business point of view if GF bought TERA NA today ( which is in a way worse state than EU as far as i see ) you can be sure that we'll be able to see at least some more years of Tera. And if not, who cares... ah yeah, the whales
-
I see, Im glad it's not that low. But considering what everyone has said, I really wouldn't want to invest time and effort into a game that might eventually shutdown. I hope Im completely wrong and Tera does a 180. But if it doesnt, I really cant make myself play a game that might not see a few more year.
This is where you're wrong imho.
I almost did the same because i've only read comments about the game and didn't want to check myself. Not gonna lie, except vm1/vm2 and maybe vm3 times the game has never been successful and never had a huge population but i honestly can't see it shutting down any time soon.
The fact that Gameforge bought NA rights just proves this point. Furthermore this game attracts cash whales and if something like Metin2 is still alive Tera won't die in just a couple of years. -
I see. Thanks for all the input. I guess the TLDR is that the servers arent dead, but the population is super low. And the game is slightly better than a few years ago, but since GameForge just got Tera NA, nothing much changed (same for EU side, as things get slightly better, but not enought o say it's significant I guess).
It's kinda sad to see this, a good game being wasted away with wrong management, but it aint the first. I guess I'll just wait awhile to see if TERA changes for the better.Population is low, not super low. I can definitely say i've seen worse.
If you didn't like the game a couple years ago it definitely didn't change much, if you're looking to return and are afraid you'll find a dead game you won't, at least on Mystel.
Before reinstalling i've spent some time looking at this forum and reddit, thank god i didn't just listened to what people say and i eventually downloaded it again because even if it's not the same experience as during vm1/vm2 it's still decent. That said, even if it's probably not GF fault if Tera went this route i wouldn't spent anything other than the first month of TC ( you can farm and buy the next ones from broker )
-
All servers are dead if you ask me. This might change with the transfer of Tera NA's population though.
NA population won't join EU servers, why would you believe that ?

You say elitism, I say being a dead weight creates bad experience for rest of the party.
The truth is, no one wants a tank that can't hold aggro, healer that can't heal or dd that does no damage.
In other words, if you can't do your job properly don't expect people to be happy about it, as in endgame content you are expected to perform at least decently.
If you can't and refuse to improve don't waste other peoples time and stick to low tier dungeons.
Otherwise spend time at crab gradually increasing your dps and listen to what others say to you even if they just trashtalk you, then think what you can do to improve.
I never cried about elitism even when people just told me to kms when i was starting out, as I acknowledged the fact that I was the problem, and worked hard to become better.
You can of course ignore what i just said, keep on being a dead weight, cry about elitism and have attitude of being entitled to being spoonfed loot and having fun at others expense but the playerbase is so small now that eventually your name will be remembered and you'll get kicked even from im's.
I'll probably get warned for spitting facts now but idc.
Yeah your answer does nothing other than convincing me that the community of this game is toxic as much as the developers.
As i said i'm a relatively new player because even if i know how my class works ( played for years in the past ) i'm not used to new dungeons. The training mode at Highwatch only offers SOME of the instances to test and ofc the higher ones aren't included ( except Bahaar ) so even if i read the usual guide and watch tons of videos the moment i'll enter the dungeon i'm not gonna perform as an experienced player. If you want to run your daily instances in 30 seconds avoding inexperienced players i hope you don't queue IM and kick returning players just because they're not as experienced as you are otherwise don't cry here on this forum that the game is dead.
Anyway at the end i personally don't care about elitism, it's easy to just avoid toxic people and i'm fine but the best way to keep new players away is to treat them like if they're trash. -

In my honest opinion, the thing that kills current Tera right now is that players are told: "you can only have fun at the end (Endgame)", which is pretty bad considering the lack of things to do in endgame AND the journey to that point is so DULL that people quit midway because they lose interest. I've seen complaints about not being able to play with 4 of their friends in low level dungeons causing to lose interest and the fact that you can only play with 5 players in a dungeon only in endgame...just that alone is demoralising.
Last time I logged into Tera to do some pvp matches, I waited HOURS just to log out at the end. and also continually going afk at town hubs to que for PvE dungeons got boring really really quickly. (it was also hard trying to get into a group that isn't doing the hardest dungeons)
So to answer your question of: "will there be anything to do later on in classic Tera after we played most of the content?" to which I will answer with another question: "Is there anything to do RIGHT NOW after we reach Endgame content?" - - - the reason I ask it like that is the fact that the only content existing right now is at endgame and THAT'S. IT. nothing else.
Leveling? Dead.
PvP? good luck finding any.
PvE? Dungeons only.
Crafting?lmfao.
Fishing?...Why? why is this considered a must thing to do just to stay afloat when it comes to upgrading your gear blows my mind.
Exploring? what for?
There's just a lack of everything to do in this game that the golden ages of Tera did in-fact had, but had to be completely killed off like the things I mentioned above.
So again, Classic server might not be the ultimate thing that will make Tera top the charts as the best mmorpg, but it will be way better than anything many players are experiencing (or rather the lack of...) now and most likely in future patches to come.
(sorry about that, going on a big rant again...)
That's why i said i'd play a Classic server over current Tera. You don't have to convince me.
Anyway as i already wrote i came back around 10 days ago and i don't find the game as dead as most of you sell on this Forum.
Yes, PvP is dead but i'm pretty sure it's not because of Gameforge at this point. Reaching Endgame gear takes a lot of effort and having to grind for a pvp set too is boring.
I don't get why they can't just delete the PvP gear and stick with a single equipment that works for both. I mean i get it... more grind, but again i think that blaming a publisher instead of the developers of the game is pointless.
Tera, imho, had its peak during Alliance content. You could pve, you could pvp and considering +12 was the highest upgrade possible you didn't have to throw hundreds of hours at pve to be competitive.
If only Krafton would focus on something like that again instead of a TERA moba MAYBE even the current version could be enjoyable again without throwing away everything in favor of a classic server... -

My English is not that great but Excuse me if this sounds rude but, I really don't understand the "Split Playerbase" argument at all.
I mean... players who don't like current Tera don't play at all, and if you add Classic Server and they play that, I still don't think you can call it a split because they enjoy Tera Classic.
So Basically having both Current Tera & Classic Tera servers means people have options to choose their desired version. and having ONLY Current Tera means they have no choice but to... well... quit.
I can understand the desire for players to stay and play, but forcing them to play a watered down version of the game only makes them quit entirely (like me and many others as far as I can tell).
[If there is a chance for Classic Pve and Pvp server, might want to make matchmaking (dungeons and battlegrounds and the like) Cross-Server to allow a bigger pool of players to join]
I already went on a big Rant on another thread so I'll stop here. I just want to understand the "Split Playerbase" argument that's all.
To those who enjoy current game, all power to you and game on.
Like i said i would play a classic version instead of the current one. I mean i don't really dislike the current Tera but i can't deny that it's 99% PVE and i miss the old times where you could do both Pve and Pvp.
Pretty sure that i wouldn't be the only one leaving live servers so yeah, the population would probably split.
Then we'd have to talk about updates, because yeah PvP is fun but playing years with only a handful of instances as endgame would be boring, maybe not for you, but surely for me and people like me.
What do we do ? Same path as current Tera <.< ?
Gameforge surely likes easy money ( like every publisher ) so if there was a chance to do that without risking too much we'd probably already have a classic server... -
Thread moved to dead section.
As much as i'd like a classic server it would split the playerbase even more.
People looking to experience the "old times" would get bored after a while and then... ? -

Hop on in if you like pyramids.
What pyramids you ask? RNG ones as pretty much everything progression related is randomized in a way to make you open your wallet.
Good luck getting anywhere near endgame without that.
Came back something more than a week ago, i'm already full annihilation +10 ( mostly thanks to the "WelcomeBack" gift that gives you 2 scrolls to +10 each piece ) but i have already enough stuff that i could +10 another char.
I know, +10 is just the minimun requirement but i'm pretty sure that getting full +12 is not gonna take much longer than another 10-15 days.
I feel like TC is really useful especially if you don't wanna run multiple characters so i bought it but i already have enough golds that i could buy it at broker for the next month.
Yeah the game requires some dedication, it's not meant for casuals but that's not new, even during Vm2 the grind was already here.
At the same time you can't say that you need +15 and best rolls on everything to be able to access content.
Worst part about this game is the community. So much elitism... :\
Edit: Before somebody asks, i play 3-5 hours day but nobody prohibits you to progress slower by playing less...
Edit2: Seems like there are a lot of events these days that help with progression. We had nothing like this kind of rewards years ago. -
All others server are so dead it's better off playing on Mystel right now even with high ping. Ironic since you find a lot of players from US/Asia on Mystel.
Yeah it's not p2w if you got the time to grind your ass off and don't have a life basically, I would rather work at McDonald's and use the money to p2w myself to glory instead of doing same boring shit all over again that requires shit tons more time and effort than that. Been there, done that, geared 3 characters to full +15 only could do it because it was lockdown. With the insane inflation or what the fack happened due to cheating?? it's even better to p2w right now. When I took 2 months break and saw how fucked the economy became. holy shit I uninstalled the game immediately.
Pay2SkipContent is the right definition.
If you're used to a little grind you can manage a +12 set and i'm pretty sure it would be anough for 95% of the content, am i right.. ?
Yeah TC is kinda of a must but you can buy it at broker if you're willing to grind a bit more.
So far it seems like the game hasn't changed ( pve wise ) from what it was years ago and nobody will force you to +15 three chars in 2-3 months <.<Edit: Feels like event are way better now compared to a couple years ago. No shit forcing you to cash shop and decent rewards to ease the grind on unreasonably hard stuff ( like companions ).
-
Used to play when RMHM/HH was considered engame and i assure you that Mystel is way better now than what was at that time in terms of activity.
-
Just came back from a 3 years stop and i think it's always worth playing a bit as long as you don't get hooked into the "Shop to advance faster" loop.
The grind is still here but can't say it's that bad.
Of course if you're looking for PvP the situation is different <.< -

I'm on Fraya but i'd suggest Killian too.
Joined here just because didn't like the open PK thing but i kinda regret my choice.Killian is way more populated, and now that i like PvP more than before i noticed that's kinda dead ( probably also because of this New-Patch moment.... ), on last January things were quite different <.<
However, Killian will also be the most populated server, go there!
