    My main is Aph on Arcadia. My area of expertise is Priests, but I can help with most general information - mostly PvE. Don't contact me if you have something to ask about tanking though >_<

  • FAQ: What server should i play on?

    Can a mod sticky this and make the title a bit clearer please, this question gets asked about every 2 to 3 days...


    Most populated server is Killian (pvp). The 2nd most populated server and the most populated pve server is Fraya.


    Don't go to any other pvp server as they are dead.


    Arcadia (pve) has a decent population although from what I've heard our broker prices are quite a bit higher than the big two. I haven't visited the other servers so I can't really do a comparison. Don't know about the other pve servers.

    Whoops, was going to make a snotty remark and then realized I wasn't clear in what I wrote. What I mean in that if you're not geared up to tackle MCHM you get nothing extra as compensation for the downtime. I know I'll still be able to make use of the other drop rate bonus, but we would have gotten that anyway. (Lol, now I just sound ungrateful.)

    Hmm, it doesn't seem I can edit my previous post now but there was something I thought of after writing it. Sure there is a personal rating for CS but as commented in the many forum posts and threads recently, the system is quite flawed and I don't think many people would be willing to put too much faith in that ranking. I know personally there have been plenty of games where I outplayed the members of my team and did really well but since we ended up losing I lost rating; and also games where someone else in the team did most of the work and I barely contributed but still gained in rating.


    Of course Corsair's Stronghold is a team challenge, and I think that it would have been really cool if there was some sort of team competition rather than an individual contest. Of course this would make it difficult for everyone to participate and after all it is the shiny new thing, so I can understand why the contest revolves around it, but it is ultimately a challenge that tests teamwork rather than individual skill.

    When I first read this competition I thought it was about improving your rating. But it's actually about having the highest rating or what?
    i.e. I thought you would be doing well as far as the competition if, say, your rating was low and you had recovered a bit.

    It must be the same driver upgrade I did since I'm also on a laptop. Really big boost which must have fixed some sort of issued the game had communicating with the hardware or something technical like that.
