Nice guide, altough I've set up my 360 controller easily with no aditional software.
My main is a Sorc, and it plays very well. My Slayer is perfect with the gamepad too.

But the weirdest thing is, I've learned and got used to gamepad play first with my Priest. And I pretty much like the result. I wish I just could raise even more the right stick sensivity for more faster look, but it feels great even as it is.

So, here are my characters so far...

I start with my main, the elf sorc:

    My human slayer:

    My human priest:

My castanic mystic (low level, still not much customization by now):

And lastly, my elf warrior and his elf sorc wife (my gf in real life):

While I appreciate your help on this matter, I need to say I am perfectly aware of my system limitations, as I have some experience assembling computer parts and solving hardware and software problems.

I play quite well for the low fps I have, but I am planning to upgrade my graphics card. Then, the CPU, that needs a new motherboard, and this by turn, will need a new pair of memory modules, all because of incompatible slots due to hardware evolution. Heck, I will need a new hard drive because my free space is not much. Now you see why I still have this old, outdated, but functional system: I need a full budget to make it Tera-capable, and I ony got a job recently.

About the RAM I have, please allow me to disagree. 6 GB are enough, the other components are more crucial than that. As the graphics card is the only upgrade I can buy without slot problems, that will be my first change, then all the others. And yes, its 6 GB of DDR2.

The mistery here? Why can't I see the difference betwen the low and high detail settings in the graphics options? I'm playing with almost everything on max (AA is Off) and I can still go through crowded dungeons without freezing or crashing issues.

    My machine:

    Windows 7 x64
    AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core 4400+ 2.3 Ghz
    6 GB ram
150 GB Sata HDD (Windows, games)
300 GB IDE HDD (documents and so on)
    Nvidia Geforce 8600 GT (512 MB DDR2)

I use two monitors, but only play no the bigger one; the smaller is only an auxiliary view. I'm about to unplug it before I play Tera just to see, I know there is a game that has an error and closes if I use both monitors, I had to unplug it to play, just don't remember the game's name)

skipped through most of the text.. >.<

so "-USEALLAVAILABLECORES" option is the same or not as going to 'msconfig' , boot tab then advanced options and checking "number of processors" box and to how many you got in the pull down under it?

I tried your tip with a fresh neutral S1engine.ini (the one I had, not one from the "FPS fix" threads"), rebooted the computer, and.... no difference. Same fps on average. I can lower the details, or max up everything (except the AA setting wich I don't want), and the overal performance is the same.

Can't edit my previous post so here goes:

I tried every single step in this thread... Unpark cpu, change Tera settings with Nvidia Inspector, replace S1Engine ini file, but the game performance is just as it was. I see absolutely no change at all.

    Wonder if I'm missing something...
