Is it possible your Steam account is already linked to another TERA account? Is making a new Steam account an option for you? I was having this issue because I borrowed a friend's account and after making my own account, the link worked right away.
Do ask TERA Support via Steam if your account has already been associated with another account. Maybe you linked it to a 'guest' account without realising it?
I know it's probably not the cause but tried using another browser?
Also, how about you try the TERA via Steam launcher? If it logged you in right away into a brand new account, then you'll know what to tell Support.

Bear in mind the above times are in CET (Oct-Mar). In Summer, some of them move +1 hour due to CEST (Mar-Oct) - much like the now-disabled guild BAMs spawn times, but most remain unchanged.
Affected by the +1 hour difference: Log-in time event for Astral Gifts.
Unaffected by the +1 hour difference: TERA Club daily perks, Dungeon daily entries, Guild daily quests, Vanguard daily quests.
If a category isn't mentioned as affected or otherwise, this means I don't enough have information about it.
2. Repeatable quests defined by your item level (up to 16 quests overall per character per day, except the IoD top tier quests).
3. 10 quests for regular players and 20 for Tera Club subscribers; done only by people farming credits for the free black puma mount.
4. If a guild quest gets carried over, i.e. it's still not completed at 7 am, its progress and remaining time will not reset and it will consume a quest slot from the next day's quota when delivered/failed/cancelled.
5. You have to be online, otherwise the reset might not occur.
6. Content removed.
7. If bugged, check Tera EU - Calendar Bug Fix.
7.1. Sometimes you're required to wait 24 hours, sometimes the requirement is to just log in for the day.
7.2. There's usually a 'login requirer' - to complete 1 Vanguard quest before you can collect your freebie. You can 'stock up' on different VG quests, i.e. keep them as completed but undelivered for days you know you won't be able to do more than simply logging in. Don't forget to deliver your quest if you're doing the same activity a second time.
8. An account-wide buff per server - logging into any character counts towards your daily login on that server. Open Calendar (System Menu) to check status. If you were online when the new day started, this would count as having logged in for that day too.
9. The event Star Traces activates at 5 am on Saturday morning, the daily bar resets at 5 am on Sunday morning and both bars disappear at midnight on Sunday.
10. There's a known bug about Humedras in Ex Prima who spawns only once a week (after the weekly server restart).

This is probably the biggest flaw in the new, super 'intelligent' launcher - there's no peer-to-peer sharing. It was basically a huge, active, built-in torrent-like feature, increasing your download speed sometimes 3 fold. Now that's gone. I could've taken on this topic in the video but decided to remain positive. Labelling GF Live as useless was enough, I think.
The download speed option is only cosmetic. They said they'd 'fix' it (by removing it, not actually making it work as described) but we all know it's not going to happen.

Let me know what you think about the delivery of the message, not the topic or information itself. There were 2 things I could've included but didn't do it on purpose because, sadly, it's a player initiative to create a torrent for Tera EU, as well as upload the game files on a cloud storage 2 years ago, and GF aren't paying me to do this. In fact, I don't know about anyone being sponsored by GF to promote Tera EU which is sad indeed. :-/

Obviously, there's bound to be criticism but I'd like to hear it. It's my first such video, plus I'm not exactly good at video editing, considering I didn't even know what programme to use for that purpose until a month ago. o_o

If a new player's seen the vid, do tell whether it was comprehensive to someone unfamiliar with the game.

Rechtsklicken Sie auf Ihrem Desktop - neu - Abkürzung - "E:\Game's\GameforgeLive\Games\DEU_deu\TERA\TERA-Launcher.exe" - next - Finish.
Dann rechts darauf klicken und Als Administrator ausführen wählen. Stellen Sie sicher, dass es nicht bereits läuft. Öffnen Sie den Task-Manager (Strg + Alt + Entf - Task-Manager oder Strg + Shift + esc zu öffnen direkt).

I don't know what stage you're at but typing "/reset" might help in some cases while inside an instance/dungeon that you're supposed to do on your own.
Just create a support account, contact them and wait for them to get you a new quest item. I don't know about the German support but the couple of people handling tickets in English are ignorant and unhelpful to say the least. Meanwhile, continue with your quests - go kill monsters, do dungeons (via Instance Matching or with party, or alone), do some Kumas Royale and don't think about some unimportant quest.

Permanent items are... permanent. The only inconvenience is you cannot bank or put them in the wardrobe.
It is unknown whether skycastles will stay after 25th August, that's why I wrote 'final week.' No information about it as usual. This said, you should be in top 5/15 right now and get the items sooner rather than later because there will be no next season.

As you know, Crusade is getting removed on 25th August. Until lastnight, there were still folks who actually didn't know they could get 1 (Elf Male) to 4 (Elin) free permanent costumes. There are also 2-3 different permanent weapon skins for each older class. Here is how...

1. First of all, you need to belong to a guild that's either in top 5 in the PvP (Cutthroat) league or in top 15 in the PvE (Challenger) league, i.e. your guild must have a skycastle. If this doesn't apply to you, then you could join a guild that has a flying fortress. You could join just for this provided you made your intentions clear in advance. A polite and friendly request is unlikely to get rejected by most guild masters.

2. If you're not the GM, then ask your GM to go to your guildhall and talk to Dotorn, the Manager Honorifics.

3. Talk to any NPC you desire and get your free items. Bear in mind that they cannot currently be banked, nor put in the wardrobe. 'Honorific' items (including all accessories) are temporary and get deleted upon leaving the castle and relogging. The ones with a stated acquisition date and/or without 'honorific' in their description are permanent.

Someone said it's 'safer' to not bother with the shield (here Warning: Manglemire bad translation) but IMO it's better to learn to do it properly instead of failing on purpose just because it won't kill you right away.
Can't test it right now (too early for parties) and *maybe* I'm imagining it but I think it's possible to avoid the leash after a failed shield if you jump as it explodes, get knocked down and use Retaliate. The stun immunity buff you get after will counter the leash. Not a big deal if you get leashed but many fail to survive after.

I understand well enough that the situation skill-wise in our pool is not the greatest but dismissing people's skill level and self-driven effort to improve just because they play on a PvE server is narrow-minded. Claiming that someone is better by default *just because they play on Killian* is absurd. Same applies to 'most ppl on Killian are skillful, unlike people on other servers' claims. Just because there are more people there it doesn't necessarily make them better. lol Yes, ofc skill develops with practice (and more practice) but PvP wasn't invented on Killian, please. o_O People with a god-complex should really rethink their (in-game) world views. This superiority flaw in some folks' mindset is both annoying and concerning. Hence the bad name for the population there as a whole.

On topic: OP should clearly state these are recommended setups based on personal preference and common use. There's also a typo in one of the slides but I don't remember which one (+3, +31).
