It's a scam because it costs more than buying them separately.

If you buy from a proper retailer like Amazon you won't have to deal with crap customer support sending you back and forth as you experienced.

My video card randomly crashed with artifacts on screen a couple years ago, and since I didn't want to wait for warranty replacement I bought another one and then after I installed that one, I sent this one back (so I had no downtime). I explained it to them and they gave me my money back when they received it, including shipping fees.

On the other hand my experience with local retailers is eh... raging at a guy because he wouldn't understand that the stupid motherboard won't boot at all (not even POST) wasting half an hour till he acknowledged it.

    But suit yourself.

Downgrade to the TERA friendly connection again?

Why do you need 600mb anyways. WTF?

Mine is under 10 mbps and TERA runs with 25 ping...

    Analogy time.

Ping is the time it takes for one car to arrive from point A to point B and back to point A.

"Speed" aka bandwidth is... err like the name says, the width of the road, or how many cars you can fit at one time. The wider it is, the more cars you can fit and thus they can carry much more baggage (data). It still takes them time to reach point B, same amount of time.

Also this might come as a huge shock, but people use their PCs and devices for other things besides playing a dead game.

My main "issue" is that disabling that "jiggly" animation is something that already exist in Tera.

Well it's BHS what do you expect? To be honest it's probably more to do with laziness in this case. The jiggly crap isn't proper even on more revealing costumes, but whatever. Far more games have that kind of fan service though, so I grew more tolerant to it.

(Yes I know that armor is still far from real-looking, but compared to Tera's standards it's 100% realistic).

As someone who hates the kindergarten and "cute" stuff and other silly crap like the animal costumes, I have no problems with it, in fact it looks pretty damn cool and I approve of this, so you get a like from me  People who want real looking armor in a fantasy game should just play a medieval simulator. There's nothing bad with real looking armor, but limiting yourself to just that is... eh, a bit extreme in a fantasy game (by fantasy I mean having magic).

Note that there is a huge difference between something that looks believable (like this) and some cute kindergarten crap that doesn't fit at all (because TERA is not a powerpuff girls setting, nowhere in the lore does it say so).

Willing Suspension of Disbelief and the Rule of Cool are a thing. You only see that silly crap in parodies or comedies, is TERA a parody?

BTW I also have no problem with swimsuits if used out of combat, since well... they're pretty typical. Can't say the same about the other crap which I won't name again.

And yet, as a coder since 20 years ago, i can tell you that everything can be fixed, if you put enough efforts, and of course skilled programmers on the task lol. We all know why many things arent fixed. Time/Effort/Profit ratio. Its as simple as that. Its far cheaper to just ignore bugs and focus on monetizable content. This happens everywhere. If a company have enough incomes to consider they are being successful, they dont need to invest on fixing anything or waste other resources in other thigns, as long as profits are there. Again, thats the main difference between a good company and a bad one. The good company will try to balance both things. The bad one, wont even think on it.

Or they just outsource trash "devs" from crappy countries, low wage but full of bugs. You get what you pay for. Not like these companies even know what unit tests are.

As a QA specialist I'd like to jump in on that:

Some bugs are very hard to reproduce because they only show up when the stars align in a rare pattern basically. The bug may be known, but not the cause of it. And it probably never will be known, because often in companies basic code will never be touched. Why? Even if the devs got an idea of what's going on in these special and very rare cases (which won't be the case because QA won't be able to reproduce the bug) they won't change anything in the very basic code because the chance of breaking anything which will result in a worse customer experience is way higher than fixing the actual problem.

So yeah, basically, you gotta suck it up and live with it. Bugs which can not be reproduced consistently are the nightmare of each software company ^^
But as long as it occurs so negligibly rare devs won't be able to do something about this.

Replace "devs" with "incompetent devs" and you have a point indeed.

@Fenix Too bad it's Fraywind, most of the opponents you faced were very bad (but that always is the case in mass PvP BGs).

BTW why do you never use Knockdown Strike to extend a KD chain or to get stagger immunity, when you have skills on CD?

Call of Duty games used Punkbuster (similar to Xigncode)

lmao, they're not even remotely comparable. It's like comparing MS DOS with Linux, and XINGCODE is the former since it can compromise your entire PC.

Some anti cheats are rootkits, like GayGuard and this shit, and others are just anti-cheat. Usually it's the korean garbage that's malware.

I'm ok to install a software like Gameguard, Punkbuster

I'm not, and I don't care what you're ok with.

What solution you told me ? "fix the game" LOL

What solution you told me? "Ban what I don't use" LOL. What a comedian. Not to mention client-sided, which is even more pointless.

Blade & Soul used your shitty gay guard from day 1, and it was FULL of hacks -- zero cooldown hacks, invincibility hacks, etc. In fact, not only did hackers get to, well, CHEAT in game, they were also even more protected than normal non-cheaters since they disabled GameGuard. Cheating is bad enough, but to even get better PC security and convenience while at it, less RAM/resource use, etc... than legit players? That's a spit in the face.

They already had gay guard so what could they do now since it's easily bypassed by cheaters? You're so smart, you must know a lot, did you tell NCSoft to install another GameGuard on top of GameGuard or what? GayGuard inception?

Instead, they did something else. Now mind you, this is classified information I'm about to reveal. A super hidden ancient secret. It's possible it may have dire repercussions but I decided to do it because reasons.

So what did they do to stop such hacks?

They fixed the game and server.

    Shocking, I know.

So Easy... "fixing" its pathetic too.

A software like gameguard check lot of process

That's malware, not software. Proposing malware as a "solution" is such a joke, especially when it's so easily bypassed (see Blade & Soul). Not everyone uses his PC for a shitty game only, disabling firewall/AV/sandbox and other stuff and running the game as admin is out of the question for sane people.

(basically, if you want to screw your PC while most cheaters will still be around bypassing it, don't take others with you into that shit hole, thanks)

And who said anything about easy?!?? You asked for solution, I told you one. It's not my problem you think it's too difficult. You know, sometimes in life things aren't easy. Deal with it.

Hey @Borsuc if you have better idea to get out of this shitty proxy, we listen you ...

There's no solution other than fixing the game and server, which I've stated so many times by now including in that post. What you said can't even be called a solution, it's pathetic. It's like banning (for example) Windows 7 because most proxy abusers use that as OS to run their hacks. Or maybe .NET framework too if some hack was coded in C#.

And no, the analogy is not far off at all, in fact it's spot on. Nodejs has absolutely nothing to do with cheating, hacking, or even games (much less MMOs) in the first place. Literally. Such "solution" is just beyond dumb (note quotes). As if one guy's decision to code a hack in a given language or platform makes the platform "a hacking tool", laughable.

Why do I have to repeat myself I wonder.

You realize that if someone from e.g. Codex or whatever guild (I don't care) was hacking to crash people, some of his guild would also crash, right? At best just find the one guild which is "common" to all encounters and then you probably find where the hacker is. (well, if that's even a thing, not saying it is; other drama is pointless)

Also lol at suggestions before, typical benox, seems some people just never learn. Ban node.exe because someone decided to write the proxy in stupid javascript? Seriously? ****ing backwoods logic.

So if the proxy dev wasn't so lazy and made a real .exe app in C++ instead, you'd ban Windows itself, since it can run .exe files which can be potential hacks? Or what?

Or you could suggest sensible solutions like, idk, fixing the game instead so exploits aren't possible.

This is probably the next toxic step after the passive stats on flying mounts, it is a shame to see they are abusing the ingame gameplay stats with Cash Shop items.

I can see it in my crystal ball, this prophecy:

"Due to the overwhelming positive feedback from players during the Manahan event, we decided to incorporate the pet buffs on all servers, permanently. Get them off while it's hot with a special 50% pet sale! (we understand you might be confused, but due to the massive success of the pet buffs we had to increase their price by default to make your experience more enjoyable, so this is 50% off after their compensated price increase)"

(it doesn't matter what players give them, they invent their own feedback)

What is the relationship with my exclamation point and my question ?

It has everything to do as you continue to show that without a doubt, despite people answering your questions... basically to put it nicely, acting like an airhead.

And yes I already told you, it's like sorc's stoneskin. I'm not sure what else do you want? That's how valk's skill is and it has nothing to do with your stupid archer. If you want to ask WHY it is this way, then go ask BHS since they designed it this way, on purpose. So, not a bug and nothing to do with your trap, it's a valk thing (and not only for traps).

Mican: A mod that actually knows how PvP works at the very least, I'm impressed. Hope you become a full mod.

Text is bugged, mechanic is intended, deal with it.

As for "valk & brawler", it's something called class skills, it's not just archer who has them, sorry. If you think those are too OP then go qq about balance of valks since it's not a bug.

Are you gonna QQ about priest's GS for being immune to your trap too or what? BUG!!! Stun must work 100% all the time. Lancer blocks my hits? BUG 0 damage!
