Having seen numerous threads concerning scammers on the boards, and since all of these get locked,I thought this might help ,at least ,the few of the players that dwell the forums.

So far I have seen three types of scams in game,there might be more,so feel free to comment if you know any.

Type I : The zero gold trade scam.

I believe this to be the most often occuring one.Many have fallen for this,including myself...
This one usually occurs after you have posted a WTS advertisement.
Lets say you posted "WTS 60 <Spellbind>".The scammer replies to you and acts like a buyer would.You meet at some location and you proceed with the trading.
You realise after the trade that you don't have the gold promised.

But what happened to it?

When the trade window came up,the scammer quickly added the amount of gold you agreed on to the trade window. But the moment you added the spellbind ,he clicked again on the gold amount button,and changed the amount to zero gold.You both clicked on trade lock and that was that.

How to avoid this kind of scam?

Simply wait untill the other party has locked the trade window from his side,check if the amount you agreed is there and then lock from your side.If he doesn't lock it,cancel the trade and wait for another buyer.

Type II : The Tera Club key scam.

Typically some people advertise selling TC or Veteran keys,or it's you that wanted to buy one and posted a WTB Veteran key message.

The scammer approaches you and you decide to trust them and you trade them the amount you agreed on.The scammer then logs off or goes to find his next victim,or in some cases I have seen gives you a bogus key ,to try in vain.Some will even haggle to make you trust them and agree to trade half the gold before and half after they have provided the bogus key.

How to avoid this scam?

Well generally don't buy from people you personally don't know.Even better just buy it from the cash shop,or a website that sells keys.

Type III : The masterwork alkahest scam.

The scammer posts a WTS <Masterwork Alkahest> message,usually at a lower price than in the broker,or replies to someone who posted a WTB mwa message.

The scammer comes and trades you,but when you look in your inventory you don't see any mwa.Instead you see refined alkahest.

What happened and how to avoid falling for this?

The scammer initially added the amount of mwa you had agreed on,then swiftly changed to the same amount of refined alkahest.
You can notice this change by looking at the trade wndow text,which will show the change,or by hovering over the alkahest icon.

Always double check before locking your trades and you will not fall for any of these scamming attempts.
Hope this helps at least the newer players that didn't know about these scams.

Props for the effort ,but in 3days this will be outdated.

Master enigmatics getting removed so no point doing full runs anymore.

Vigorous crux is a bad idea,better with 4x anarchics.

Also kn necklace might kill you if you need to take debuff and kn gets staggered.Of course you can chose to switch earlier but this means getting hit more often,lowering your dmg uptime.

I have one addition mostly concening arise.please for the love of Teralith buff ,change your default jump key to be different from the chain key(if u use chains anyway).
It will help you control your retaliate and even keep it for when actually needed.Kds come in succession most of the times,and if you get arisen and jump you just wasted both your hp and healer's mana.

Patch notes

This was the patch.Not sure it's in the notes though ,but I remember it was changed when they made zebra tradable,so it's this patch.

Fire/ice t13 and zebra mounts removed from drop tables of KNHM like a year ago.

The above SS is with 3man premade the rest in our team were scrubs as well.I said 2-3 premades because the majority of people that need a premade to win in CS are scrubs themselves.

They have protection.The crystal gives immunity (it renews every 10seconds) unless you decide to use a skill...

You get two parties to go out. A bigger one at the pyre where the enemies are ,and a smaller at the other pyre. Two or three people stay at mid and another two at inner.

You cap both pyres then move all tanks to enemy base.It's hard to get kills without the tanks and since mirror charm you will lose some people too,but it's quite fun to do once in a few CS when you see 2 or 3 premades in your group.

I think you are mistaken here.

It's not wintradding at all.

Someone starts the ship cause lvl of retardness is over 9000.The ones that jump out simply don't want to be in a suicide box.

About the players leaving --getting 10man teams-- some people when they get pulled in ,they look at the average ratings of the two teams.If they are in a 900vs a 1100 one they /drop.This is contagious,if one does it,more will do it.

There is no such thing as wintradding in CS..

Here is what I do when I am leading a CS.

ATTACK PHASE:

Save airships for later. Tell people to spawn at base when they die, fill the right airship and then go ninja the crystal.

Pick a gate, north or south doesn't matter which, though I prefer north.
Instruct all to go there. Two people can go to the other end and bring two more tanks, but it's not vital.
Tell tanks to shoot at the siege guns, as to not interrupt the people on the gate.

Once gate is down, zerg your way to middle pyre.
DO NOT CAP IT YET.

First take over the 1st siege gun then take the 2nd siege gun.
You may cap the pyre now quite easily.

Proceed to main gate, take it down.
If you see a tank inside take it over and shoot at the crystal.

Easy and safe attack.

DEFENSE PHASE:

You are the leader stay at inner with 2-3 more peeps.
After first airship has come the rest may leave, though it's nice to have some people there just in case.

Hold middle pyre untill 5minutes left in round. Now it's time for all the raid to come inside.Defend the ladders,kill the ones that bug through the door and you just won a CS.

Be polite to your minions.Noone listens to a rude leader.
Scan so you you can please the noob that that keeps shouting "skann nab leed" and keep the chat clean.

Instruct in raid chat /raid.
Use /n only for short commands or notices, example "airship" "scanning" "good job"

Never said anything about the rewards.

I believe the best way would to have mods online, but since that's probably too much to ask for, an alternative would be an improved vote kick function.

Never tried it with afkers in BGs though. But from experience one person afk doesn't mean an automatically loss. A bunch of active idiots is much more worse than one or two people afk.

Don't take away a feature that encourages people to do BGs just because SOME are abusing it.

Farmers have way better methods of farming gold than afking 10-20min in a BG and get one box once an hour with a great reward of most likely 1 hasty campfire.
Afking in a BG is not worth it for professional farmer therefore only private persons are doing it. And bots are not that widespread in Tera, compared to other games. And again there are better ways to farm gold than that.

Seen one too many botters and i'm not talking about bgs.Reported some over 10 times each(from the website),they still are here.

Just suggesting to look into this before it becomes a problem.

Think of it like this, using a condom instead of having an abortion.

As for the botters, I am aware not all are chinese, but the chinese do it professionally (see diablo3/wow).

One thing you guys should consider. Reward boxes,/XP gains/gold will bring more boting in the game.

We already see this in fraywind, with people semi-afk in spawn(they move or auto attack every few seconds as to not get auto kicked/they queue in pairs so kicking is futile).

If only equalized bgs are introduced, i can see half or even all the games, having a few afk bots inside. This will be gamebreaking for the legitimate players.

The chances for this are really high, cause getting to lvl 30 is just a few hours. Unlike now, with the fraywind canyon (lvl60 req. to enter) people will be able to do this really easy and without having to lvl all the way to 60.

Please ensure either supervision of matches(mentor/coaches or smth) or separate lvl 30-59 from 60s matches or fix the kicking system.

I am sure chinese gold farmers and the like will find ways past anything you put in their way, but at least make it so that we can at least get rid of them, during the match.

Secure our fun over their afk farming.

You will have the lvl60 skills but not the glyphs ,effectively making auto60s really bad teammates.

Was looking forward to bigger sieges, 50vs50 at least.

Active CMs? Must be a joke, only seen them ingame 2 times. Probably drunk cause they were trolling. Then got GvGed by half the server and left.
One less non active CM won't change anything.
