Please correct me if I'm mistaken but the game has been released about 9 months ago in Korea.

A simple Youtube search for TERA videos will result in a few thousand videos of all sorts of TERA gameplay.

I'm wondering, what's so radically different or what's added to the english version of the game that you must apply an NDA on it and call it an alpha test?

Are we to expect major changes in terms of core game mechanics and other important aspects of the game?

Also, are people that participated in the last CPE eligible to apply for the alpha?

Why do we have to pay for the box?
I found the KR TERA subscription model to be way better for everyone.

That is, you don't pay for the box, unless you go and buy it from a store and you can join the game by just paying the monthly subscription.
Imo, its a win-win situation, since more people can afford paying 15 euros for trying out a new game, rather than the typical 49.99 euros and even more for a collectors edition.
I need to mention that most Korean MMOs also let you keep your Open Beta character when you essentially upgrade from beta to retail.

Personally i find it ridiculous to pay the same for a digital purchase and the physical box.
Digital should be they way they do it in Korea.

Dude nice thread and all but it wont change much.

People will keep visiting infected sites, they will keep downloading random crap, they will keep clicking links without checking out where they lead, they will keep falling for false e-mails and they will keep sharing their accounts with the people they "trust".

If someone is smart enough to search for a thread like this, then he is also smart enough to use different usernames and stong lower-upper case alphanumeric passwords.

If your ID is bob1992 and your password is lancer then its only a matter of time until someone randomly log on it.
