Ban scripters?

Yea it’s annoying, fast valk especially and zerk. You literally cannot get the same hpm without scripts no matter how good of a player you are.

Especially because most players that use scripts are very open about it… but if we banned all scripters the game would be officially dead

Gonna have to agree - they should have banned all scripts from the start like Fast-Valk, Fast-Unleash or any Ultimate Scripts or literally anything that ignore the limits from the game itself, because now most people realised that there will be almost no consequences for buying & abusing those scripts which results in there being absolutely no reasonable competition anymore - because people are legit just cheating - sadly can't describe it nicer than that.

They still could just ban the main offenders of these scripts but then they would lose majority of the valks and NA zerks but shit happens - either just ban them and lose a ton of players or they also have the option to finally decide on banning these people but be considered enough to make a public announcement few days before that which at least wouldn't completly kill like 5-10% of the remaining community (even though they absolutely deserve it)

But Gameforge is still on the whole "lets just do nothing and ignore the issue" tour so doubt that they will ever do anything against it - sadly.

Couldn't agree more with tob. I personnaly think script-users deserve ban, but as we (and Gameforge) can't afford to lose so many people, I'd say that a good warning before bans would be the way to go.

When a player gets punished game data is gathered (normal for absolutely every game; method replied in a ticket by GameForge), if the class balancing, dungeon design, drop, upgrade rate is also based on current in-game feedback by taking leaderboards and dungeon clears, the game will always only get harder.

Not playing the game as a dev and taking only game data, which is corrupted heavily by scripts, you would think the game is too easy as it is now, loot must be lowered, bosses hp increased, upgrade chances also lowered, this is the problem with using scripts, it destroys the overall game.

It's up to GameForge, people will eventually quit, but no new ones will join when it decayed beyond hope, not releasing an official answer on 'community mods' and remaining silent, that can also be taken as an answer. It means that is tolerated/agreed upon and free to use.

I mean enmasse did that to the whole circus at some point just to later go back on it and it didn't end well, did it. Prolly speeding up their eventual closure by few years. It would be simply foolish to do it now, and likely they can't even do that without cuting off whole proxy which would be end of this game. All of this is developers fault anyway, game developed for single digit korean internet was released in other regions without anything to make it work properly with 50-100 ping.

I already wrote in support of a similar player with a script. And I brought a lot of evidence, including a recording of the game on behalf of this person. They promised that they would investigate it, but about 2 months have passed since that moment, and the person still continues to play with the script. They care about online, but they continue to turn a blind eye to scripters and kill other players' interest in competitive play.

chill, the localizer doesn't care about it. I honestly don't understand why i still play. They turned the game into a complete trash with bunch of scripts, random stats and grinding. To have MMORPG with the best gameplay and turn it into this...

I've heard many similar accounts honestly. Unfortunately their actions show that they, like Enmasse, just simply do not care, have not cared, and most definitely will never care about people abusing scripts in this game. TOS only applies when it suits them I guess.

Gameforge already give up with all their games not only Tera.Check their other games.All i see is gold digger company who just digging their playerbase.And if u check this forums since 2015 topics,they didnt listen anything.So they will skip this topic.If there is something wrong in a cash shop,they will imedddiately fix it.But other issues are not important by their side.

You can find Sign of the Day item at the peddler in Velika, usually roams around the city center.

I placed in Highwatch and Velika and I will keep doing so starting today until I won't be able to by actions taken against me (ban/mute/account deletion) or the problem is solved.

By doing this I only wish to promote fair play and a healthy development of the game, I read the rules and community guidelines, this does not break any of them, I do no promote or endorse 3rd party programs.

I like this game, I like the character that I created, I like to go to the dungeons with honest players and overcome difficulties with them. I'm for fair play. Gameforge make a comfortable game, put things in order, hire people who can do it. If you do not listen to the players, we will leave the game, your money will go away. There will be cheaters who will not give you money.

Мне нравится эта игра, нравится персонаж который я создал, нравиться ходить в данжи с честными игроки и преодолевать трудности с ними. Я за честную игру. Gameforge сделайте комфортную игру, наведите порядок, наймите людей которые могут это сделать. Не прислушаетесь к игрокам и мы уйдем из игры, уйдут ваши деньги. Останутся читеры, которые врятли будут давать вам деньги.

To be honest you should know that it is already too late to ban scripters. Almost every player that is left uses scripts (at least I guess). Banning every player that scripts will definitely destroy the player base to an extent that will not be recoverable.

If you think of what happened when enmasse tera decided to not allow 3rd party tools and the number of players that left the game, got banned, or switched over to gameforge tera you will get to the conclusion that it is not possible to ban scripters.

Don't get me wrong I do not argue that scripting is fine but I am quite confident that it would destroy the game even more if they change anything now as they made the mistake to let people script for years and it is more or less part of the game now.

I hope the scripting only applies to DPS. I'm playing a healer (and tank as an alterenative).

Yes because they found a safe haven here, like the wild west where anything goes.

Early into the patch I reported players for example a Valkyrie doing GLSHM in old kaia soul +9 gear, 10-15 milion dps/s over my full +10 mahtnan gunner this was ~4 days into the new patch her skill speed was insane, still plays today with no action taken and many others, I reported recently a slayer, no action action taken.

I gave up on having BiS gear, there is no point, why open my wallet and pay for stuff when I should buy scripts instead.

That is not the case. Dps, Healers, and Tanks use scripts. The scripts just differ in what they offer.

Comparison between players died with the introduction of random rolls. Anyway if you look at the top scores on e.g. moonguard like the top 20 use scripts (likely).
