Are they buried in the sand? Hidden in a boss’ pockets? Where exactly do you find the prettiest seashells? Hunt for and upgrade Arborea’s seashells. If you’re lucky you’ll get Tropical Beachwear, Mahtnan Gear scrolls, or even the brand new Mighty Qinglong and Mighty Feilong dragons! Use them to have the dragons apply the Gift of Wisdom buff to you, which has the same effect as the powerful Multi-Nostrum.
The best thing is – you get to decide when you stop opening the shells and receive your reward. Use runestones from the Vanguard Initiative merchants to combine multiple seashells of the same level into an arcane reliquary. Below is a description of how it works. It’s also possible to skip multiple levels in one go when upgrading the seashells, getting you to the high quality shells even faster.

Transform them into arcane reliquaries using runestones from Vanguard Initiative merchants
Use Corallium from the reliquaries to pick out even better rewards – such as stylish Tropical Beachwear or a powerful dragon as your flying mount!
Item Overview
Seashell I
Available in all level 65 party dungeons
Seashell I is the lowest level. You’ll get this as group loot in dungeons, so everyone involved gets a shell. The chance of looting seashells varies according to each dungeon’s difficulty level and how many adventure coins it costs.
Right click to attempt to upgrade your seashell. The higher the shell’s level, the better! Upgrading a shell will increase its level, but if upgrading fails its level may drop or the shell may crack into Brittle Shell Pieces. You can also skip multiple levels while upgrading. If a shell breaks, you have a few options:
Forms a certain number of pieces back into a Seashell I
Take your pieces to Scylla on Serpentis Isle and exchange them directly for smaller rewards
Seashell II–VII
Available via upgrading
Right-click on the seashells to upgrade them. From level III you can combine multiple shells into an arcane reliquary using a Sea Runestone of the same level. Inside you’ll find your reward. Read below to see what each reliquary contains.
Sea Runestone III–VII
Available for 1 point from Vanguard Initiative merchants
These runestones combine various numbers of seashells of the same level into an arcane reliquary that contains your rewards. Depending on the level of the runestone, you’ll receive an Arcane Reliquary of the Harvest Moon, an Arcane Reliquary of the Silverwaves, or an Arcane Reliquary of the Golden Sun.
Sand-Encrusted Argon Artifact
Available via the TERA Shop
The Sand-Encrusted Argon Artifact has the special ability to convert 10 Arcane Reliquaries of the Golden Sun into an Arcane Reliquary of the Harvest Moon. This contains:
