System Message keeps spamming me.

  • Hi Gameforge,

I have 2 issues pending that I need your help with :

    1. I am getting spammed by an ingame System Message saying "Increased Duration of EP EXP increases by 100", this system message is repeating every 3 seconds and will not go away. I noticed on the forums the solution was to contact Gameforge Support, however I cannot do this because of the 2nd issue which is :

    1. I cannot use the Gameforge Support function AT ALL, when I log in using my Gameforge account information I get a message saying "The data is incorrect", when I try to set a new password, no email is sent to my email address. (yes I checked all the folders). I was able to manually change my password inside my Gameforege Account Settings however the Support TIcket function is STILL not recognising my updated account information.

    PLEASE CAN YOU :

    1. Remove the System Message spam ingame (Tera online, I only have 1 character there so its easy to identify)

    2. Check my Gameforge Account information is properly connected to the Gamefore Support system so that it recognises my account information.

Thanks for your help in advance.

  • Somnambula : The answer specifically states :

you cannot use your Gameforge account credentials to login in the support system

Did you even care to check the link? It means you need to create a support account (game and support accounts are two different things here).

Regarding OP's message spam, it happens when you have a buff overriding another buff (typically the passive +100% EP EXP buff from the TERA Club going over another buff with same effect - though same applies with crystalbinds and other stuff as well). When your club expires, the other buff takes effect in place of the passive buff and you don't have the message anymore. This said, once you have created a support account, you can ask support to remove the held buff, so you are not annoyed anymore.

  • no i didnt care, i just remembered OP stating he has no way of contacting support, and threea asking him to contact support. i did no fact checking, just found it funny ...

i stand corrected and do apologize.

    Rara avis in TERA

  • Thanks all,

@ Warlord, ty for the informaiton.

Bear in mind, it does not say specify that you need a seperate account for Gameforge Support, what it says is :

    Contact support

This function can only be used with a user account.

If you don't have an account yet you can register here.

When it says Gameforge all over the page, and I am there through my Gameforge User account, one assumes that is generally what they are referring to (most companies tend to work from a single user account to reduce User Data).

Perhaps if it had said :

"This function can only be used with a User Support account"

"If you don't have an Support Account yet you can register here"

then this would have more obvious and saved us all a bit of time.

Ty all, appreciate the help and clarity.

  • Found a different page where it does indicate it, but again its pretty vague.

Welcome to the Gameforge support system.

From now on we will provide you with the chance to register an account for our support system.

An account simplifies processing of your tickets and helps us to handle your requests more efficiently.

If you do not have an account for our support system yet you can register here.

Even reading this retrospectively, its still open to interpretation. I would reccommend simply adding the disclaimer that the Gameforge User account is insufficient for creating Support Tickets.
