How long are accounts banned for? (Resolved)

  • How long are temporary bans? How can you tell if you're permanently banned or temporarily banned? Is it possible to unblock account?

I'm asking, because someone maliciously reported someone over a joke. There were no slurs included. No name calling. The guy just didn't like the joke, found it offensive and said so. I'm guessing he submitted a ticket twisting it into something it wasn't. I'm furious, because once the joke wasn't received well, it stopped. Nothing more was said and apologies were made. Next day his account is blocked. Is it possible to unblock account if banned over something so insignificant or a misunderstanding?

  • There is a way for a banned player to get a trial unbanned only those who commited the offense or convicted might other wise not like the procedure at hand that he might be facing.

1st pledge a plea of a written request from a lawyer asking on your behalf for a trial to the game company to be hear out his client part of the story.

The offender will pledge a apology to the whole server namely to those other player party the game company and to all the admins, Gm's and Community Manager he might disrespected.

even he have done nothing he has no right to bargain on this behalf. Once offense has been judge.

There he is no longer allowed to communicate with the other party nor pm them. And he will be given a temporary unbanned and will be monitored secretly at the server and forums hoping he will not do it again.

Because the game is a business after all, and anything and everything in the game is owned by the game company even you have paid for it. it's not yours. So all of us would have to obey by there own rule and judgement. cause the game comapny itself is registering to the government for license game server service operation. thus TOS is implimented.

  • Update:

Sorry, I thought it was the joke, but they explained in the ticket that it was a chat ban instead, he said something offensive when speaking in world chat I guess.

The conclusion? He's permanently banned. No warning. No anything. He asked support what he can do to reinstate his account, and spoke to him as if he were a child, they told him that the discussion is over and any further replies will be perceived as harassment which will result in a ban from forums/support; with that, the ticket was closed. This is awful. I really miss the old publisher, because at least support would talk to us fairly and hear us out.

Please be careful everyone, especially those who migrated from En Masse, where by ESRB standards, Tera was rated M for mature and gave us that freedom to be adults since 2011. We learned the hard way that under this publisher, Tera is now rated PEGI12, which is the ESRB equivalent to E10+ (Everyone over 10 years of age). Yeah. Tera is a children's game now.

Anyway, thanks to all those who replied.

They didn't even give him the option... Thank you for your reply though, I appreciate it.

  • I'm impressed he managed to get banned at all, i reported a lot of players for very serious reasons to GF and they never got banned. Let's not even mention the ones that cheated and were never banned too

Horrible. The sad thing is many of the players getting banned for language are from En Masse where the game was rated M; Tera is not getting any newer or generating new players like it use to, so most of the money are coming from those who are loyal enough to make the merge and continue to play it for years.

Welp, let the hackers drive away players and the loyal players get banned without warning.
