Gathering problems

    There are some issues with gathering now, most required items don't appears on broker anymore, when it does, its very expensive, and not worth buy them to craft the desire item.


    My suggestions are:

    • Increase nodes all over locations
    • Increase amount of gathering per node
    • Increase gathering critical
    • Month events on gathering (like double loot in dungeons)

    Gathering is one of the ways to know Tera locations but today not worth the effort, even if you have gathering pet, maybe it's time to look this part of the game sometimes forgotten what is the case now.

    If you send pets out on gathering locations like aurum road for example you get a lot of materials of one type, with 3 its way more and it only requires a low partner level. It's mostly due to having way less channels and some materials became high demand items in recent patches.

    Your comment reinforces even more that something must be done, eg.. to send pets on adventures you need to feed them, to craft puppy figurine you need materials that may be not corresponding with partner returns, gathering is one way out of this situation, and I'm talking here only about 2 kinds of material required to craft on puppy figurine, if you look at cooking tab you need all kinds of plants and broker doesn't have or if it has the price is skyrocket, gathering economy needs attention, that's is my point of view

    The prices are skyrocketing because gathering is one of the most tedious and boring activities in the game. Sure you can send partners on adventures - I did that on 10 characters, and now I have 9 characters with exhausted partners because they only brought back enough mats for figurines to recharge the partners for one character.


    I fully agree, instead of pushing people to gathering by making it the only source of something basic we need, maybe they should have tried to improve gathering? I'm not really optimistic about seeing any improvements since the last time they touched gathering was to nerf it and make it even more tedious and boring.

    Without the gathering tool it is way too goddamn slow no offense.

    About Evolution core

    To craft evolution (high required because most of players are rerolling partners to legendary) you need 15 ingot each 15000 + 10500 = 25500 more 5 Harmony grass (not tradeable most be gathered) to get a decent partner you will need 90 evolution cores near to 2.3M in gold.


    About cooking boost foods

    Material Unit Price in gold Used to Craft
    Cobseed 25 Power food (15), Crit food (15), Lein's Beer (5), Heal food (15), Moongourd Pie (10), Common pet food (10), Juice pet food (20)


    As you all can see essential material for most used boosts, when I listed on broker less than 1000 units was available to sell


    About Puppy Figurine

    Both materials are used to craft Puppy figurine (remove from npc vendor on patch 104), the actual price of puppy figure on broker today is 100 per unit, the situation of this tends to get worse


    About Health Potion

    Material Unit Price Used to craft
    Crimson Essence 10 Health potion 50% (45)


    Less than 200 units on broker for this price, you can craft only 2 pots with 45 units and 15 units of achromic essence (not tradeable most be gathered) what in some dungeons you can spend in a minute or less


    Conclusion

    Almost all gathereable material collection is missing and partners adventure isn't the solution cause you have to wait 8 hours in order to get the results and the amount of rewards isn't satisfactory and if that weren't enough you have to feed them with puppy figurine at least 7 units, guess what!!! crafted with materials from gathering


    In all cases the amount available on broker isn't enough for 1 player, that's is the situation of gathering economy on game nowadays.

    There is one mechanics that threw out the years of Tera that even the oldest players of the game ignored up to now . And the developer never told or forgot to mention "Gathering" as you all knew is suppose to be a Guilds work. Like in all MMO the Guild suppose to hold a reputation. I mean all the guilds. There is a thing called in Guilds as "Material Donation" meaning daily the members of the guild must do a chore to fill up there "Reserve" so namely the Guilds hold the life of the economy of the game. As well as for them to reach to top rank. Like "Glory" and "Wealth" in order to have sufficient store to all it's member and gain "Upgrade" and "Power".


    To win in Battlefield against other guilds and gain top rank. So gathering is a important part. Only players here in Tera are taking it for granted. Like it was nothing and just waiting for someone to do it. lol.


    Anyway if you do gathering daily like i did, your Xp will grow as i think everyone already knows that. But not only that gathering has also a level. If you gather daily your gathering level will also level up if you reach level 48 gathering your gathering skills will boost you up as fast as same as the pet gathering skills. Namely your gathering harvesting and mining skill will all go up. It's just a matter of patience.


    P.S. gathering is my only way of farming in game, Since farming coins or same players might call it if they play other mmo as "Afk Farming" is none existent in this game and it very sad for me and why do i even bothered to play this game in the first place. if not for the Elin race.

    That's because you no life the broker all day and undercut the crap out of everyone else. And hoard TT pretty much all to yourself. You have no place to comment since you don't even play the game.

    You missunderstood the meaning of the thread, it's to appoint how broke the gathering system are, the post above it was only to emphasize the reflect of a broke system mirrored into broker price, what's the meaning of keeping a broken system into a game, just remove and give another way to get this materials, the meaning of this thread is collect suggestions to fix what is broken at moment, anyway ty for you contribution.


    Here another suggestion:

    • Rewards by effort: removal the gathering limit experience and rewards the player who play gathering by the level of experience he has, higher experience more material gotten from nodes, better critical chances

    You are literally what is wrong in America but in a video game, sad the system allows you to do that.
