My game is telling me that it requires a Gameforge Authenticator app code. I never installed such an app and the game requires this two step authentication process. I tried installing it on my phone but it says it needs the original phone with it installed on it? No such thing ever occurred and someone is asking for an Authentication for no reason!!! The app on the google play store has a 1.5 star rating and only 50k downloads...so where the heck is this coming from? When the app is pulled up on one of my phones, it asks for a log in( which works ) and then it asks for this two step authentication. It gives me two options (either log in to find out what the authenticator info is, or scan the code (which was never created ever to begin with so wtf). So the app just leads me in a infinite loop. So to clarify: The game wants an authentication code from one phone and one phone only (this phone never existed) The second authentication was never put in on my account so why is it here now? Also, don't these two step authentication systems work off phones numbers? Ask for my cell number and this whole thing would go much smoother. I won't be able to play this game until someone fixes my account.
Gameforge Authenticator App Requirement?????

The application appeared relatively recently and not all players use it. Perhaps for this reason, it does not have a high rating. Regarding your situation, only contacting the Support Team can help resolve this issue.

How do I deactivate 2nd authentication when the very act of deactivating it , requires the original authentication? This is a paradox. Fair warning to anyone who uses two-step authentication: If you uninstall the app, or lose your phone, you won't be able to log into the Gameforge client and you won't be able to play ANY games. Because of how Gameforge has this set up, you can't recover this information on your own and you must wait for an undetermined period of time before receiving your recovery info. This goes against the fundamental motion of life as we like to get things quick and easy, as they are so designed for us to be able to utilize in this way for that reason. (Gameforge you're being sneakily manipulative just like EnMasse so you better watch out or you'll be bought out by someone else). I never set up authentication by the way, so what's up with that? I bring this topic up in this section because it is circumstantially pertinent to other players, in that this is a fresh problem and it only recently happened. My Gameforge client is always logged in, but after a 2 month, the client logs me out and (I was using Facebook to log in which never had any problems) and then this two-step authentication things kicks in. It happened just after there Maintenance update that took place on February the 2nd for 4 hours. The client had to update but this has never initiated a two step prompt before. I bring this up because I think my problems stems further than that of technical support and may very well branch into something worse. I feel like there are employees working for Gameforge, that may have been a part of EnMasse, that are actually using there skills to systematically, and secretly ruin the game. Or are we just supposed to believe that Tera went from one manipulatively inclined programming business to another?

Well, you already got an answer, and more than one 👇🏻

So stop whining and go to the responsible specialists.

Oh, maybe the problem is that someone gained access to your account and secretly linked their phone number, so that later you would lose access to your account. Sounds pretty real (this is a fairly common situation). How did the third party gain access? For example, you are using prohibited software or a third-party Internet connection, or maybe you once freely gave data from your account to your friends/acquaintances/relatives, so that they "help" you with something in the game or enter the game to receive bonuses in your absence (vacation/business trip/etc.). Think about it.

No, these are two different companies that (corny) have a great distance in their location relative to each other. Next, no company in their right mind would intentionally spoil something. But some errors are possible in any system. Instead of pointlessly yelling at a half-empty forum, it is better to report the problem to the appropriate authority. Mistakes at Gameforge do not happen often and, if possible, they are solved rather quickly.

You can believe or not believe whatever you like. It will not change anything. The publisher is not a developer and the developer can easily decide who and where will publish THEIR game (including making a change to the previously defined contracts, yes).
