Suggestion for class?

    Hi guys, I just joined this game few hours ago, and I've been playing other MMORPGs(WOW/Aion/etc) for a long time. I would like some suggestions for what class should I roll. I am playing with 2 co-workers and they both have decided what to play(Lancer & Priest), so that leaves me with dps classes.

    I leveled a to 30 warrior since it is a hybrid class, but I kind of want to change to a reaper, and my question is:

    1. For PVE endgame performance(DPS side) & popularity, which class is better?
    2. I noticed there is a upcoming big patch, so for long-term(next patch) consideration, which class will fare better?

    I will highly suggest warrior and valk for beginners(valk has less button mashing than warrior), but generally, every dps class performs equally (within 10%-20% margin) . In terms of the upcoming patch (not sure which patch you're talking about), everything is possible (nerf and buff). Since I'm not a prophet, I will leave 2nd question for someone else to answer.

    this answer is very simple: try out different classes and play WHAT YOU LIKE.

    ignore everything else. they all have merit and can make a good contribution to any party.

    what is top dps today might be different tomorrow.

    Don't listen to top dps bullshit these days because results are very skewed due to very high gear cost/rng rolls, top players have quit obviously and blatant cheating with 150$ scripts. Just play what you like because no one cares these days what dps class you play.

    For endgame PVE what is needed depends on your capabilities. If your a good player, don't die and can do good damage for your gear you will get invited for statics all the time.
