    I want to know the answer now! I don't want to wait for something that may not happen.
    Just say yes or no. The votes from poll speak out loud for themselves... You can clearly see what people want and expect from you and your team.

    Nobody wants a classic server. You made a non-official vote on some 3rd party unknown site about some fantasy classic server where only fanboys are voting that don't even play TERA.


    Splitting current playerbase is stupid. Fix the game instead.

    The only person who is bothered by creating a classic server is you and the people who are playing official tera. You're afraid that most people will jump to that classic server and you're right because classic tera is way better from this trash that you're playing right now.

    Well, thank you. However, even if the answer is negative, please tell us anyway. At least you can show that you are not just a forum filter between us and the developers.


    Looking forward any update, hope we can have a positive reply both from you and BH or Krafton (or how they are called now).

    Is so hard to underastand that old players of players who don't like the actual Tera will NEVER play the new Tera and VICEVERSA?

    Do not worry about the actual players, they will never leave their filled banks, costume, gear and talent progress to back to a old game where they need to start from scratch.


    Old playerbase is completely different from the actual playerbase, old players want a difficult game where party and guilds were mandatory, where open world was a thing, while actual players want the easy way and solo content where you can progress alone from 1 to cap.


    Is easy and simple, like new Lineage 2 vs Lineage Classic, new Wow vs WoW classic, these two playerbase have a completely different concept of the game and will never merge together.


    Hope is more clear now and i hope i do not see again these risiculous topics claiming that a classic server can split the actual playerbase.


    Moreover, 900 people voted, 900~1000 is the peak of the actual player base, even if only 500-600 people will back to play the old classic Tera, Gameforge will almost double the total amount of accounts who play Tera, so is something they should seriously consider.

    This topic have more than 6000+ views, is the most viewed topic in the whole forum, this is also another hint that there is a lot of interest cause also the lacks of new mmorpgs on the market, actual mmorpgs are so easy, boring and just a solo brawler experience that nobody play them anymore, calling actual mmo with that name is an insult of true and old mmorpgs.


    ps: My personal opinion, if GF will ever make a classic server: please listen to the players and do not add content people not want, game concept should be the one before Reaper got introduced. Add content not remove it. Remove censorship, almost a decade passed, nobody cares anymore about such a trivial thing.
    Make it B2P like GW2 with fascion cash shop only, or full P2P with the possibility to buy game time with ingame money too. Attract old players or player who stopped to play advertising the game around mmo communities. do not waste this last opportunity to make Tera great again. Be smart and make a classic Tera for a mature playerbase.

    The poll should indeed be taken with a slight disbelief, considering a single person could have voted multiple times.

    However, if we take each vote that also gave ingame character name for granted legitimacy one time, then that still amounts up to around 500-550 real votes.

    (I'm sure there were also one-time voters who didn't give ingame character name for privacy purposes, but I'd still say that around 500 votes were legitimate)

    This thread has 6.8k views, because it was hot topic, it was entered many times mostly by the same people... You can enter the thread as many times you want and each time you enter the number of views increases.

    And what he/she said is not something she can actually support with facts. The only fact is that pool could be manipulated, someone or several people could have voted many times and they could have posted "their" characters names from their alts and it will be unlikely anyone can prove all people who voted and "shared" character names are legit votes from diferent people.


    We can see here clearly is, there is a low amount of interest in a Classic server, you are trying to fool yourself thinking otherwise. I am interested in a "classic server like Tadeshi proposed" but thats like 1/3 of the people preferences in that pool, another amount slilghy above Tadeshi idea of classic server is the 2012 classic server but these people doesnt want to admit a fact, TERA on its origins was a big failure, not even a paid subscription model could support the life of the game and it has to migrate to the f2p model with mini transactions. I just dont see you guys learning from the mistakes already made, pretty much you ressemble GameForge, I hope this wont be taken as an offense but I agree comparing you with GF can be pretty despective, the "GOLDEN AGE" for TERA was around Tadeshi proposition of classic server and I am sure that is the best idea we could get.


    Anyway, we could argue all you want here but you are blindly trying to make facts on assumptions that have little or not support.

    They are just afraid to loose their current playerbase.All they can do is showing their p2w shiny gear in highwatch.They are feeling good when they are overfarming their gear and stay afk with their +15 gear in highwatch.

    Creator of this “poll” here.


    Just thought I should clarify a few things so as to give a better idea as to why I thought it would be useful to make the poll.

    1. Multiple Entries - There was the option of having it limited to one entry per person by requiring an email address to be entered (can’t remember if it had to be a google specific one). I decided against this as I didn’t want to be collecting the personal data (email addresses ) of respondents and Gameforge might have been reluctant to accept any of the gathered responses due to potential GDPR concerns.
    2. Legitimacy of the site used - when considering the site to use to gather responses I was first going to use surveymonkey as I was most familiar with it. However I decided to use Google Forms as pretty much everyone knows and ‘trusts’ google (at least I hope).

    Number of people voting - As mentioned above I knew that there was the possibility of people making multiple entries however the purpose of the poll was not to “gather votes”. I won’t argue to say ‘x’ amount of people want a classic server however it’s pretty apparent when you look at factors such as the views of this thread, the views on the classic server gameforge YouTube videos, the number of people on unofficial classic server discords and the constant cries of players that there is at least “some” interest in a classic server.

    For this reason I decided to create the “poll” not to gather votes but to actually see what people are asking for when they say a “classic server” and to display this in an easy to read way.


    The things you should be looking at from the results of the “poll” are things such as the split between people wanting a 60 compared to a 65 classic server.


    Similarly the the split between people willing to pay or people who expect maintenance/continued development/content on a classic server.


    The results have been shared with Gameforge and the public (and I’ve also received a response from BHS who “claim” they are willing to look at) to see which was the intention of the poll. It was not to “get gameforge to make a classic server” but rather to “show what people mean when they say they want a classic server” (like many posts on the forum).


    I hope this helps clear up any misinformation.

    Thank you for these detailed infos mate, you did also a great job contacting BH directly. Hope they listen and take this passionate interest into something serious and real.

    How many times do you actually want to pee against the wind until you learn that you get splashback on your panties?

    It's highly impractical to make a server like that, maybe a temporary one yes, a permanent one is out of the question because it won't be profitable and it also adds extra work(maintenance, upkeep, updates) and staff members.
