Reality check

  • Hey guys,

I`m an old player, that hasn`t been active for a couple of years.

I used to spend a lot of time in this game for YEARS. I`ve been a part of many fun guilds, such as Keyboard Warriors, Cerberus, Cupcake Thunder, Slacker Inc. ect. Hell, I even got into a long distance relationship sort of a thing because of those late night teamspeak (yes, back then it was teamspeak) conversations.

I was mostly a PVP player and also made some video tutorials. Even back then, for me the pvp seemed sort of dead, cause 3v3 was on it`s last breath and FWC was like once a day (CS still existed and velika outskirts aswell).

Heres a little video I remembered by Cupcake Thunder

(i didn`t make it, all of my old videos are deleted)

Last time I logged in was like a year ago, just for some hours, to check how how the game was going. As I have some very nice memories with it.

But I have to be honest with you guys, I`m happy I left when I did. Honestly, the game looks pretty shit now. PVP is completely dead. Just being in this fading and slowly dying environment is depressing.

Don`t be depressed. Go somewhere where the F@#$in action is. Separate your ego from the skill and reputation you`ve gained here and leave. You`ll be happier for it.

That`s pretty much all, I wanted to say. See ya and have a great day!

p.s looking at the cash shop made me angry af

p.s.s. if i`m tripping and theres still actually some fun to be had in the game, lemme know ;)

If you want something you’ve never had, you must be willing to do something you’ve never done!

  • thats the problem, no other mmo right now, has combat like tera.
no other mmo has pvp like tera had

those two facts are the only reason tera is still alive

  • I remember that duck train from Cupcake ^^ Everyone was wondering what all those crazy players were doing.

I still find some fun in TERA. Mostly queuing low level dungeons and explaining things to new players.

(I miss the chats around the campfires while waiting for stamina to refill quite a bit ;( )

But yes, the game is weaker now that it once was. I feel privileged to have been able to experience TERA 8 years+ ago.

And I don't regret the immense amount of time I spent. I met some of my IRL best friends here.
