Any intention from Gameforge to monitor Wintera Auto-loot pick mod hackers?

  • While I'm not one that usually speaks against Proxy, etc. cause it has it's uses for those who look for ping compensation because certain classes are too ping reliant to play otherwise, I do have to agree that those who are using auto-loot in Wintera are ruining the event. Half the time when I play, there are so many auto-looters surrounding the Santa Caimans, you don't even see the loot touch the ground or even sometimes come out of the Caimans period; they just fall over, like they were empty.

It's even worse when you spend time charging up snowballs and throwing them at the warm boxes to have one of your teammates (or opponents) run by and pick it up with no animation (i.e: the auto-loot) and keep running in their general direction. Like, could we enjoy the one event everyone normally has fun with without having something ruined? Are all of you who are running auto-loot really that bored, that you have to ruin what is otherwise a normally enjoyable event? Are you that desperate? You're so toxic, when I've seen one or two people mention it in-game, all you have to say is 'git gud'. Seriously? Grow up.

Raederle Apologies for the ping, but please do forward our feedback and bring up possibly changing the way the Caimans work and how the 'rewards' are distributed, as this is just silly that the usual Battleground everyone loves to have fun in is now turning into mass-suicide-throwing for extra loot, and then auto-looters get the 85% majority of loot.

  • How about some way to give the team who does kill the Caimans a box that has all the current loot as possible loot, and have it RNG what we get.

2 boxes per player per team. If I'm not mistaken, both Caimans drop 5-6 pieces of loot. That's a total of 10-12 items. At that point it'd only be 2 extra items per run that's dropped by compensating for the 7 players on a team (which would be 14 pieces of loot), and the same team won't necessarily defeat both Caimans so it's possible each team would get one set of the boxes, and everyone walks away happy they got something out of it. That'll make it where people won't camp the middle trying to place all their traps and to trying to walk all over them to get the loot, they can attack from a distance and then focus back on the main idea behind Wintera after dispatching the Caimans; Pelting everyone with Snowballs.

Also, any update on the permanent death 'feature' we seemingly have? The res scrolls don't work, they leave the player down.

  • It's just Wintera, hasn't worked since we got the patch including Wintera Day 1. You get the prompt to accept the res, and then you just lay there dead after clicking Yes.

  • Yep! Of course, I'm passing along your concerns and suggestions. What do you have in mind? Obviously stopping the auto-looting, but do you all have any other suggestions to make Wintera more fair and enjoyable? If so, I'll pass those along too. ^^

    Banning accounts from cheaters.

Tag their accounts for being wiped from the game to give time to save a posible false-positive. And get rid permanently from those accounts that were banned after that time frame while you keep their mails blacklisted. Its really dumb that you keep banned accounts untouched and everytime there is a server merge or change of publishers those cheaters get back their accounts as if nothing has happened.

Auto-loot mod has some "not-to-dmg'ing" effet in the game, beside on FFA loot event like so. I don't understand why Wintera loot is set on FFA now a day (enemy team can loot your boxes now) but regardless, the whole event system is problematic, but I did report some aimbot cheaters and I truely hope those people get banned, because if they feel the need of cheating that much in Wintera, they're clearly not whiter within other Tera aspect (probly including duping, since it's the new Tera Trend). I wish for an event that wouldn't penalise ethical players that turn off their auto loot mods, or actual people not modding at all. The point of events should be fair share for all participant (based on their performance, or simply participation). I would go for 2 rng box per player who's winning through parcel and possibly a wider box reward from vanguard quest (including those tradeable wings) even though people would just swap character, it limitate them to 23 a day, would benefit those who have many alts (worked for it). Not optimal obviously, but still is better balanced than current situation. Or at best, just make those wings cannot be tradeable.
