No place to PVP anymore (NA) (Very Saddening)

  • Hello,

I noticed that nobody made a post about this yet, so here it goes!

Previously, before EME closed, Tera Players were able to pvp in the open world without consequence. Players would commonly meet at the Velika Outskirts location, to both train there PVP skills AND fight there foes.

The PvP community is a small but extremely passionate part of the overall Tera NA community, and I am very sad to see what it has become, since the switch to GameForge leadership.

I do not blame GameForge for this, seeing as how NA and EU servers have been under separate management teams, historically.

My intention here, is to be a voice for those who are deeply ingrained into the PvP community, here on Tera. (I am one of those people, too.)

What we need is a system that promotes PvP, unlike the current system. I think removing infamy would achieve this goal, or perhaps removing infamy for levels 68-70 PvP, but keeping the consequences extreme for low-level-killings.

Tera has a complex, and very high skill-capped combat system, and open world PvP (without consequence) provovides the competitive forces needed for players to trian their hardest and to push Tera's combat experience to the maximum. PvP is content-rich and highly diverse too - you never know what will happen next, and the competitive aspect keeps people coming back again and again, with new and improved skill levels!!

This is an urgent message to Gameforge, pleading that the open-world PvP system be fixed, so that a small but passionate part of the NA playerbase can get back to doing what they love.

    Thank you,

    A Concerned Player

  • A PvP reward system is needed too. If I remember correctally, PvP took a big hit when EME stopped making gear-progression possible via PvP battlegrounds.

Just think for a second: This game has been miss-managed for nearly 10 years, and people sill care enough about it to log on the forums and tell you whats wrong, and how it can be fixed. I think that speaks volumes of the potential this game could have in the right hands.. developer-wise. I wish BlueHole would sell Tera to a developer that actually cares.
