Launching the game through Steam's shortcut

    I'm trying to launch the game through Steam's shortcut, but it gets me into Europe server without asking. I have to go into Steam and launch the game from there to be able to choose the server. Is there a way to launch the game into NA server through the desktop shortcut?

    You should be able to choose what region to play when you launch the game from Steam Library. After pressing "Play", a window should come up asking what region you would like. If that window doesn't come up for you, please contact Support. Here's a handy guide to our support system.

    I think you misunderstood Raederle . When NiteLite presses the "Play" button IN Steam, it works correctly. But when installing the game, NiteLite chose the 'create a desktop shortcut' option and when using that shortcut, the region select window doesn't come up.


    As a test, I added a desktop shortcut through Steam and I can confirm the region select window does NOT come up when you use the shortcut and it sends you straight to the EU servers. Pressing Play in Steam still works fine.


    I'd guess that when Gameforge added the region select window to Steam, they overlooked changing where the desktop shortcut directs to?

    Yep, I misunderstood. Sorry about that!
    You need to launch the game through the Steam library in order to select your region. Using a shortcut or launching from Steam's task manager doesn't seem to give you the option. I've edited my above response to be more accurate.
