10 years of Tera, 10 years of horrible communication by gameforge

    Tera soon has 10 years anniversary. The community had fun and sad times over all this years. We had many Community Managers but now enough is enough. The communication from gameforge to your costumers, to YOUR community is in the worst situation since the release. We have a support team, what dont support, f.e. Polan, he has no clue about the game, he protecting cheaters, he closing support requests while we are in communication with other support employees. We have a community management team what just dont exist and when they show up in the forum, they random closing threads and give us robot answers. There is NO active communication by YOUR community managers with YOUR community.


    I dont really expect that your CM´s try now to communicate with us in this thread, i just expect that they will close it and warn or ban me again cause they allways try to silence. I dont offend anyone, its just an upset comment to your work that i saw over the past 10 years and especially since 1-2 years, since threaa toke over CM. We thought it cant be worse since (forgot the name but think it was Aureli) left and you took over. But congratulation, you did it. I dont want any new robot answers by you, i want that you and gameforge change something. Give us feedback, give us answeres, show us your communication with Krafton regarding bugs and exploits. Make it comprehensible for us. Even Krafton have a developers note to the community where they annouce on what they work and what they do.

    And threaa, if you dont want to communicate with us. Bring your boss here, i am sure he is not happy with the situation. If you close this thread also you will show us your and gameforges real intention. So i hope there is a small thing of honor left in your mind, cause this thread has no insults. It is a communication thread.


    The following text shows parts of a job description from Gameforge Homepage dated by today, the 13th of November and i will show, whats going wrong.


    Community Manager* German

    As an efficient Community Management team, we cover all our games when it comes to community topics, such as customer feedback, in game events and constantly checking the needs of our customers.


    - Your Community managers dont cover any game regarding community topics, you ignore costumer feedback, you silence complainment threads and your community managers are ghost. We dont get answers to our feedback, we dont get informative answers to support tickets, all we get are just in advance prepared copy and past robot answers.


    You ensure the exchange of information between the community and the internal product team and represent the mood, opinions and views of the players within the Community Management Team.


    - This sentence seems like a joke to me. Your community managers dont exchange any information or if, we dont get any feedback, we dont have any communication. If your CM´s would represent the mood, opinions and the views of the community to your product team, i wouldnt write this text. I can tell you how the mood in the community is... Its a powderkeg close before explosion. So i dont know why the product team or the bosses of your CM dont act or dont change anything when your CM´s tell you the mood of YOUR community. I dont think the CM or the bosses would be happy if they read all this upset posts by people in this forum.

    Your mission

    • You work closely with other Community Managers to develop and implement the community management strategy

    - Do you have any strategy to improve the communication? We dont see it. What we see is you randomly closing threads as soon as it doesnt fit in your concept.

    • You supervise and coordinate the volunteer teams and handle support request

    - There is no handeling in support requests, you dont bann cheaters, even worse you protect them like Polan does. Where are the vounteer teams? Volunteers are mostly out of the community itself. Do you get any feedback of them and if yes, why you dont change anything?

    • You are the contact person for writing newsletters and similar information texts

    - The translations of patchnews are incomplete and partially wrong

    • You are responsible for the community on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and forums

    - There is no communication except robot answers

    • You are responsible for the conception and implementation of competitions and events, both in-game and on the game's website

    - We have no competitions inside the game, events are all copy and past and even with outdated rewards

    Your skills

    • You have extensive online gaming experience or comparable professional experience as Community Manager

    - I cant see that your CM have experience with Tera or experience as CM´s. I am in my company also responsible for costumer service and it makes me cry how you guys work.

    • You enjoy sharing information with others and find it easy to explain things in detail

    - Your CM´s dont share information between product team and community

    • You know how to handle complex tasks without losing your cool

    - Your CM´s dont handle cool, they just close threads as soon as it doesnt fit to their opinion, same for support team.




    Now i post the main bugs of the topic threaa closed again, cause he/she didnt gave any feedback to them. We just became the in advance prepared robot answer to contact the (useless) support. Like anything will change if we do it. I, no WE, want an answer what is the state of the fix of these bugs, cause these bugs kill the game. If you communicate same bad with Krafton like you do with your community, i expect nothing, but i have still a little hope. What action did you started to fix this bugs. What are the answers of Krafton, what actions did they start to fix this?


    - memeslashers and cheaters dont get banned even after multiple uploads of videos and screenshots showed them cheating and memeslashing

    - gameforge incapacity to act in punishing scripters, cheaters and proxy users

    - CU is destroyed since weeks by memeslashers and YOU don even manage to bring 1 damn gameadmin online during CU to instand ban the memeslasher, even worse, your useless support tell us following when we report them even after clear evidences:

    - if you kick a player in shorehold, in 30% of cases the group matching dont start for a new player

    - if you kick a player in shorehold, in 50% of cases the player who took match in progress cant join the game

    - you dont see the message if you kill a player in shorehold

    - you see enemy debuffs, his HP bar turns purple so you cant clearly tell them apart from your own team

    - kickvotes displays a different player you voted for

    - Leader Scan in CS not showing ppl on the map

    - Rating points are random (3 pts victory/67 pts loss), there are ppl with 0 rating in the leaderbord

    - UI Score tab bugged

    - equal gear is totally broken, everyone oneshots everyone

  • You know what the most funny part is ? That OP is a tard. The kind of tard that would play the game on an absolutely dead server with 10 people and try his hardest to enjoy a game that as it seems will never return to the golden ages.

    If i remember correctly OP was on the forum trying to MAKE A TIMEFRAME to revitalize arena. In my opinion, op has offered more to the game than all of gameforge combined.

    Tera only keeps on living cuz of tards like the op that have taken ROLEPLAYING waaaay too far and trying to play tera20 like it was tera13.


    The most fun i had in this game was all "player initiatives".

  • I don't like your attitude. Yeah playing this game expecting things to go back to 2013 is crazy, but posting on a forum of a game you don't enjoy/play just because you're frustrated by how the game's managed is more retarded in my opinion.

    I mean, if the game dies it won't come back in a fashion old style version with flowers and unicorns everywhere, full of players and good pvp/pve content. If people still play the game today who cares ? It probably just means nobody has been able to make a game similar to this one as combat but better in every other aspect.

  • Boy are you incorrect. the Gameforge team has done much more for Tera online vs the Enmasse publishers after 2017. Granted before that Enmasse was a good publisher and Gameforge was not doing a great job. but that's changed alot from what it was. thats different now and things are much better than it was before. You also have other people doing their part to make the community aspect better and improve the game. Its not all Gameforges fault the game gets some changes for the worse of it. Rather BHS and the Korean developer known as Jerry who took his bad ideas he implemented from BDO and Implemented them into Tera. It amazes sometimes how unaware you the Tera community are about what goes on. You complain but don't understand how things work or the reprecussions of the things you want. "just allow proxy." was one of largest assinine dumb decisions that got suggested and screamed out during the ambush patch.


    Forever changing how tera functions and works. Then you folks complain that people are running Bern scripts and ruining the game. fun fact the thing about proxy is while it allows for quality of life fixes and allows people with crappy ping to play the game. it also allows players to break the game in any way they like rendering most achievements mute and null by the fact that if all you want to do to be successful and achieve something is you run proxy and then fix some code here and there make your own program allowing for absolute bullshit and then proceed to ruin the game. on top of that Some you acted like the Third party developers were there to save tera. Not line their own pockets or go for their own needs and wants. do you know how easy it would be for them to add a line of malicious or patching that fucks your pc over answer.. pretty easy since that applicaiton ends up having alot more access to the game and in general your pc than you would really like. . as Guffy Bear put it The Publishers couldn't just say "yeah this is fine." because they don't know the repercussions of allowing that to happen. they don't know the intent by some of those people and just because someone offers you a hand to help doesn't mean they're there to do good. fun fact more than once there has been a time where the Proxy tool had MALCIOUS software added that grabbed data off your pc while it was active. Hmm.. I WONDER WHO implemented that? on top of that the Korean spaghetti programing of this game doesn't help either. nor does the fact that all the patch notes for the game we get are from the Korean developers and have be translated into English+ other annoying shit that is a huge clusterfuck Catastrophe. Its amazing rather how tera got to be as successful as it has been with all the issues and problems that gameforge and enmasse have had to figure out and fix.

  • As someone who handles customer support myself and also Community Manager responsibilities elsewhere, I both understand the player side of things, and the company side of things.


    The first thing you have to remember is that most Community Managers are just a voice of the company. They don't make the decisions, and most of the time they don't even have a say in anything. The most they do is suggest your ideas to the team, and then (usually) give you guys the team's feedback.They're just the messenger, and in turn, they are (unfortunately) meat shields. They're the ones who take the brunt of your complaints and usually you guys make it personal, even though it shouldn't be. It isn't a CM in particular that makes these plans, or comes up with these ideas. It's the Development Team, not the Community Team (i.e: Development Team would consist of Product Managers, etc.)


    When a Community Manager is silent, it usually means a few things;

    1. They have nothing to report, so they don't post on threads they either haven't responded to yet, or ones they've already posted on.
    2. There's internal discussions taking place, usually due to feedback from the community, bug reports, etc which need to take place prior to planning a Corrective Action Plan if applicable. (again, see Point 1.)
    3. Threads like your other one listed here where you're breaking the forum rules (and by your account previously, you've mentioned you've broken them time and time again because you mentioned warnings, etc.) and personally targeting one of the CMs and doing a call-out.


    In regards to "all Community Managers randomly close threads" you're actually just claiming it's random to fit your narrative when you know for a fact you've done wrong in some way or some form, and don't want to admit to it. If you're referring to the Thank you gameforge, thank you Krafton thread, Threea specifically locked it because the discussion ran it's course. She provided the solution (much to all of your dismay, folks) and closed the thread on a reiteration of her solution of what to do in current and future cases because it just dragged on and on. Just because you don't like that a CM closed a thread where you were all bashing them and the team as a whole and breaking the rules in the process doesn't mean you get to spin the narrative to fit your narrative. That isn't how this works.

    Moderators and Administrators in general (not just Community Managers) get "flak" for 'silencing people'. When in reality, 97% of all closed threads violate the rules laid out by the community in question, and when you violate them you subject yourself to the punishments as such, which maybe include locking of the thread, a warning (public if no built-in warning system exists, or private if they do exist), a temporary suspension, or a permanent ban, again depending on what community you're involved in and how their punishment system works. Again, you don't get to spin the narrative to fit your own just because you're upset your precious bashing thread got locked.


    I won't even try to explain how tackling and trying to bash every point under their job description is not only unnecessary but completely irrelevant, as they also have other responsibilities outside of those listed. They aren't free to roam the forum 24/7. Grow up and quit your bellyaching if you don't have any actual arguments to complain about.


    In regards to the Support complaints, I actually touched on this recently in "The game is unavailable for you. Please contact Suport" for those who may or may not know how the majority for support systems work, especially in regards to ticket systems, and I feel that most of that covers the complaints here. Sorry, I couldn't be bothered to read the rest of the bellyache of the thread.


    Point being; You have a right to be upset when you think you're being done wrong, and you should explain so in a calm manner. Explain why you feel the community is being done wrong and list out a constructive, exhaustive list of what you think is being done wrong, what's being done right, and what needs to change. Bashing people who don't even have control over half of what you're complaining about isn't going to solve anything, and will get you nowhere. Note the key word here is "constructive". If you're just saying "GameForge, you suck" that isn't exactly helpful to anyone, including yourself.



    TL;DR - Stop behaving like a child, and you'll stop being treated like one. Stop breaking the rules, and your threads won't have to be locked and you be warned or even banned. Etc, etc. I already put more effort than I originally intended into this thread and can't really bother anymore.

    He's is not incorrect. The fact that you come from NA and you didnt like Enmasse and now you like Gameforge has nothing to do with the subject at hand. We are complaining that there are too many cheaters who are exploiting everything in this game and when we show proof to the so called support Polan he does absolutely nothing. And that fact that you say proxy is at fault because people use cheats, that may be so, but people would've found a way to use cheats anyhow. With proxy it's just easier but that doesnt mean that proxy is ruining this game. Like i said they can always find a way to use cheats, it will just take a little more effort.

    Also like to mention that as a CM is EXACTLY THEIR JOB to read forum 24/7 and if im wrong please tell me what other tasks they have. Also Buschfunker is not writing these threads just because he is bored of his mind and doesnt have anything to do at home. He's not behaving like a child and just because you work as a CM somewhere and you take his threads personally does not mean that you can call him child and call his posts "bellyaching" (what a nice CM if you call the threads like that). Also he has shown proof, he added a video to the previous thread of the person who was actually using memepulse while pvping. How it that not an argument. He and me and all the people who actually have brain can see that those people who we keep reporting are cheaters and the Polan does nothing to take care of them. And this CM that keeps closing the threads just because "there was nothing else to contribute to the thread" is so wrong because there are so many stuff to add. So many people have problems with CM and support system in this game that it is actually scary. And the reason we are so mad and dont explain things in a calmly manner is that we have already done that SO MANY times and they dont give a fuk about what we have to say. Same cheaters appear every week in the pvp events, and every season same cheaters appear on leaderboard dungeons in pve and when we send screentshots to Polan (because obviously we cant make a video of them in the dungeon since we cant enter with them) he responds back with bot answers and says there arent enough evidence.

    Does getting "getting punished" or getting "silenced" "locked" whatever you wanna call it when we get locked thread for breaking some rules apply only on us? Us being the players in this case, or does it apply on the employees too?

    Becasuse all i see is people openly complaining about the support NOT doing their job.

    But instead of everyone else turning its focus on WHY people are complaining about the support not doing its job they just simply get their mouth shut because the CM's have nothing to say?

    Maybe they shouldnt be a CM if they got nothing to say 97% of the time, and when they DO have something to say its this

    Like ???????? Whats their job if its not communicating with the community and trying to help in any way? IT says in the name COMMINUTY MANAGER , not Thread LOCK MANAGER.

    So my question still stands does the punishing/locking whatever only applies to US or do they do something about that Polan ignoring/closing tickets for some reasons that only work in HIS world, because none of us are 10 year old kids who never communicated with supports in any other game, we know a thing or two how support works and how it SHOULD work.

I 100% guarantee you after Enmasse became garbage as a publisher NA undoubtedly had the worst publisher experience and game experience for Tera online after VM8.. Do not make me laugh. "Bro you from the NA and you.." if that's your only argument do that is fairly pathetic. Frankly I don't give a damn about any other problems you have with game forge as a publisher I just care about Tera and for what they have done with Tera. Its been a lot better than it used to be.   • First off "the fk Bro?" is not going to make me consider you in a more friendly manner. 2nd You wanna blame a lot of changes that tera has had over the recent years do not point your finger at game forge but rather BHS they're the ones who make the game and change things balance wise. Publisher Wise give me Gameforge Over EME, or Nexon any freaking day of the week. you think Gameforge support is bad? HOW many MMORPGS'S have you played? II tell you right now by comparing and contrasting any other possible publishers who could of picked this game up and been in charge of managing it his is a much better option VS many of the other ones.
