How do we know if the migration was successful

  • hello,

    I followed the steps to complete the migration but I didnt receive any confirmation that it was successful. Was I supposed to receive something?

    How am I to know if the migration process was successful?

    I do apologized if this has already been answered but I did not see it in the thread: [FAQ] TERA America

    Nor any other place on the forums.

    Thank you in advanced.

    You find that in the end, all we needed was the truth.

  • If you got to the "Thank You" page after submitting, your migration was successful

    Until EME closes their servers, and GameForge opens our new servers, they won't be able to tell if we have completed the migration steps successfully or not, outside of you getting redirected to a "Thank You" page once you submitted.

  • Hello! For the migration to be successful a confirmation email isn't required. As correctly mentioned before, a simple redirection to a "Thank you" page is the sign you need to know that everything went smoothly. :)

  • Greetings! You can also try to check something:

    • Launch the Gameforge Client;
    • Go to the Library and select TERA from the games;
    • After that, click on the name of your game account (as in this screenshot);
    • Then change the region to "North America" (as in this screenshot).

    Below, you should see all of your migrated in-game accounts associated with your Gameforge account. If there is something on the list, you can relax – the migration process was probably successful. Nevertheless, be sure to contact the Support Team if, after the launch of new servers, you have any difficulties with your account. :)

    I dont remember if I got a thank you page, but when I followed these steps, my account info was already set for North America, so Im going to assume thats a good thing?

    Thanks everyone for all the help!

  • I did the migrate, put the launcher in (well, someone else did that for me), got the game set to Play, the above is all right, click on play and it fails. ?(

    So I had someone who understands a lot more than I do, look at this stuff, who also got the launcher put in. But I'm putting my screenshot in and then the technobabble that the person who installed the launcher copied and put in a file for me, because I don't get it.

    The technobabble that the person who installed the installer and got it setup so I could get the game going, found this:

    Activation context generation failed for "V:\GameforgeClient\Games\TERA\gsl_tera.exe".Error in manifest or policy file "" on line . A component version required by the application conflicts with another component version already active. Conflicting components are:. Component 1: C:\Windows\WinSxS\manifests\x86_microsoft.windows.common-controls_6595b64144ccf1df_6.0.7601.24483_none_2b200f664577e14b.manifest. And when I try the support site, it says I don't exist when I try to sign in. :huh:

    So I don't have anywhere I can get help, plus this forum stuff is so confusing.

    You must create a separate account in the Support (it can be registered to the same mail that you use to log in to the game client) since the game account data is used only for authorization to the forum and the Gameforge Client (i.e., they are not suitable for authorization in the Support, because these platforms are not related to each other).
