PvP ? ? ?

    Hello EU,


    I used to be an avid PVPer in NA Tera a couple years ago. Unfortunately, the game pretty much died altogether, battlegrounds started to only pop a few times a week. Civil Unrest attendance dropped dramatically, somewhere around 300-400 players, and was dominated by one guild exclusively. On any given day, you could expect 3 to 10 players in velika outskirts. Skyring became a joke of players feeding each other.


    I was thinking about starting a character on EU, as I heard that PVP is still "active" on Mystel. I was wondering if someone here could tell me just how "active" it actually is? I know there's no chance of it being legitimately active like it was in 2015, but I'd settle for any level of activity pretty much. Do battlegrounds pop every day? Is Civil Unrest actually competitive? Are there multiple active PVP guilds? Do players hang out in VO and duel each other on the reg? What is the consensus on proxy? How many active PVPers are there estimated?


    I have never enjoyed any other game as much as I enjoy Tera, but there's no point in playing it for me if I can't PVP and PVE. I really hope EU can be my new home!

    Mystel:

    Currently there are 3 mass guilds, each around 100 active members who are part of CU and who are able to win it.


    CS and shorehold are popping every day in the evening hours.


    Sadly out of this 3 mass guilds just a few ppl are playing BG, the rest are just there for CU.

    Then you have like 3 to 5 small guilds with each like a doozen and some strong players. Most log in just one or two hours a day to do some pve and pvp.


    VO on Mystel is dead cause of no outlaw and less fps in VO. Mystel pvp community is located in Zulfikar fortress. Sadly most ppl there are just afk and refuse to duel. If they duel, they duel with nostrum, cause they cant deal without. Thats why most of them weaker then Shakan in 1v1.

    GVG System on Mystel is dead cause gameforge and especially the CM give a shit about PVP to activate it. For example on Shakan GVG is still active.


    Proxy is a huge problem especially on Mystel. It's the server with the most abusers and cheaters. Even the 3 big PVP guilds tolerate proxys, scripters and hackers in their guilds to gain advantages in meaningless CU to feel to have reputation from other players while most dont give a fck about it.

    Mystel had few days crashes and downtime in the past cause of massive abusing and cheating what resulted in this server crashes. Gameforge dont ban any cheater.


    If i would guess i would say that there are 40 active real pvp player's on Mystel that do BG every day. The rest is doing it randomly or never.


    Skyring solo q is dead since you can use your own jewellery inside. Dmg is way to broken cause of this. (for example archer deal 80% dmg of you health with one single shot)

    Skyring team is popping cause of russian server. Mystel has like 1 or 2 teams from time to time and russian way more.


    I dont know the situation on russian server Shakan, but there GVG is enabled and every day in progress.

    In my opinion Shakan has more strong PVP player's then mystel. In a pure and fair 20 vs 20 Shakan would win. The negative thing about Shakan is. Most dont speak english and they all just play like Rambo, fight fight fight but no objectives, what make them lose objective focussed BG more often. Russian mentality 😉

    korean players don't care for pvp and devs dont give a fk about the rest of the world


    thus all the good pvp content was removed and what we got as replacement was dumbed down soloq bgs and unbalanced zerg fiesta cu


    that tera battle arena is more dead than bless online and it died in 5regions and will die on 2 consoles in 5 more regions just for the laughs! its an absolute disgrace and a stain on moba genre and those idiots at bluehole think players will eat that shit up and buy duck costumes for some noname story characters? story in tera is a badly written fanfic fetch quest since vm2.

    I'd rather play one of the 5 mobile tera elin cash grab games that they milked weebs for money instead of that tba


    just play something else for pvp or wait for elyon because all of us mmorpg players are beat down dogs who still need their addiction fix from some game and tera is running pretty damn dry past few years.

    it was the only pvp atmorph has done on stream ever... so, sure


    but if you think anyone was asking for the classes everyone has played and mastered over the years to be dumbed down to 6button spam classes then think again


    tba is the complete opposite from what we wanted.

    we wanted old content, new good content or new game

    we got new garbage content again....



    i cant wait for tba funeral party at 15th when it comes out, it's gonna be a blast

    TBA will not even be active at the first day. Devs are in a completly other universe then the community, but what to expect? The community managers only respond to pve topics and ignore every single pvp thread. So how devs should know what we want...

    Because this is the concept of MOBA games – play ready-made characters so as not to waste time and effort on their full pumping. It's just a Battle Royale.

    You should think about both veteran and new players, as well as any other player in between, not everyone got a shot to try different classes in different patches.


    For instance apex was enough to make lots of people quit due to how easy it became, then over time strategies to play around it developed. It was asked to get something new but it didn't kick in for everyone as usual.


    Rather than seeing MOBA like dumbed down classes, I was interested seeing how new classes could potentially be made out of combining skillsets of actually existing classes. Sorcerer-ninja, mystic-gunner just to give two examples, but if you saw the stream you get how many combinations are possible that may, jokes aside, work inside of the actual MMORPG.


    I don't know if that's a terrible or terribly good idea, as Tera has an environmentally friendly tendency for recycling yet it never had a customizable skill tree unlike other MMOs, besides the skill advancement and talyph system.


    Regarding players' expectations for new pvp content, another post in the forum talked about a new class for the console version, anyways I don't think Tera can be at the stage of getting customizable classes when the team can't even complete animations for all races and genders of the existing ones.

    tera has barely any new players that stick around and tba will never get any marketing


    so it was only made for the ppl who play tera and it will never gain its own playerbase outside the mmo or bring new players in


    it's a complete waste of time and money

    The TERA version on consoles lags far behind the computer version. As far as I know, the Valkyrie class has not yet been added for consoles. Therefore, this is probably just a kind of "announcement" of the Valkyrie on consoles.

    Tera hasn't shut down yet, that's pretty much it, as long as there's no news in that regard feedback can still be provided.


    Can't wait to see how badly they can mess it up, that certainly doesn't fail to deliver.
