Is it worth comming back?

    Tera was kinda worth playing in vm4-vm9 patchs,probably even before vm4 but i wasnt playing the game at this time so i cant tell


    i quitted the game on vm9 but honestly,a game where getting your bis have nothing to do with your skill level but only by insane grind,luck & REAL money is a no no no NO


    But i can recommand FFXIV,you're trully rewarded for what you do in endgame unlike tera ,you can play all class on ONE character and there a tons more of content overall,the only flaw compared to tera is the gameplay

    Sometimes I think of logging in and doing few dungeons, but since I'd have to delete a character to play, which I don't want to do, and neither do I want to spend money to get more character slots (especially since I don't know if it'd be even worth it, but by the sound of it, it doesn't), I can't check any changes to the game ever since the realm merge.
    It was on Gameforge they merged realms, and they provided 0 character slots for it. Way to go Gameforge.
    Also reminder that kTera has 5 character slots by default, why don't we have that here?

    True, i had characters on two servers, max lvl, i quit game for one year, when i come back serwers was merged and they forced me to delete 3 chars from my 6 chars...


    That was the time when i started dont like Gameforge because they showed what they are and how they care about players. I dont care about them anymore, i even stoped buying anything from thier shop (and i was buyin a lot in past). I regret every $ spend for them.

    Samething similar is said about EME, NA publisher, and worries me a lot since GF or BHS itself are the more probable options for the new NA publisher. If things will be the same or worse then I guess this game is doomed.

    i have yet to discover a game where combat feels more natural.

    and if i dont like where the keybinds are its supereasy to reassign them, same goes for UI.

    drag drop done.

    try rearranging your skill keybinds in BDO or BnS. not fun, and sometimes not even possible, or you lose some skill/interaction key that you apparently overwrote with your new assigns.

    ofc its an opinion.

    tbh i enjoy tera most now by leveling up a new character and avoid all advice/quest/dungeon.

    just go out, explore, kill.

    make tera an adventure again.

    Think you will find DCUO (p2w game) as a similar combat if not better than tera's

    The combat system is so brilliant in the game you can stand all day in Highwatch and spam General for fun things to talk about. Its no good having skills if there is no real open world content to use them with. The game did have structured content, way up to 65 and then sadly it drops off a cliff. Exodor is really poor and then you drudge to 70 and play dungeons which basically means standing in one spot clicking the same old rotations to mobs with massive health pools. Hardly challenging.


    Time was there was good things to do as you levelled. Now there is very little to do on reaching cap other than dungeons. I'd love to log in and find something really fun to do, that I haven't done a gzillion times. Maybe then I'd upgrade and subscribe. What the game needed was a 'PROPER' expansion from 65 to 70 that had a start and an ending that was ever more added to. Sadly what we got was a real mess and bonkers changes to skills that rendered most of what we had before useless. The game needs a revamp from the ground up to make the game fun and interesting again. And I would love to start over... but not with the pointless world that Tera has become. Its not challenging in any way. So sorry it may have a good combat system but nothing to use it with.

    No, in its current state I would not recommend. 1-2 years ago it was much better, much less P2W than now. If you are tired of P2W games, this is not the right place for you, I can tell you that much.


    If you don't mind subscriptions, go play WoW or FFXIV. Much better, healthy, non p2w games with a monthly subscription fee, somewhere around that pricetag.

    P2W is not correct.
    The game is completely playable without spending money, you'll just need more time.

    I've managed to +15 my main char with "decent" rolls on most of the gear ( jewelry included ) and the only thing i've spent for is one TC sub.

    It took around 2 months playing mostly Tera and little other games so it's not impossible to do.
    If you don't like the enchant system you can easily find +15 stuff for sale.

    I'd say stay away if you don't like to grind for stuff, but the game can't be considered p2Win.

    So you paid to win too. You paid for Tera Club. Now try to do the same thing without TC, probably would've taken 4 months.


    The more you pay, the faster you get the good stuff. You literally pay to win in that case.

    And the +15 for sale costs like 7-9 mill gold. Don't tell me you can earn that amount of gold by not spending a dime on the game.

    No dude it's called Pay2Advance.
    And btw i've spent the initial 12€ for TC then bought the next one at Broker. And even if i spent for 2 months TC paying 12€ monthly is not the end of the world. Real FreetoPlay do not exist because nobody likes working for free :\

    Which server you playing on ? Because on Mystel there's +15 stuff for less than 5 mills, unless you looking to buy perfectly rolled stuff... in that case you should aim a little lower to begin with.
    Lastly yeah, it's possible to make those gold even without abusing cashshop. Most of the stuff you loot has a value, instead of being a serial accumulator focus on one thing you want and sell the rest. Surprise! You can make golds.
    Furthermore i've been pretty clear with my previous post, if you don't like grind then yeah, stay away. But calling the game Pay2Win is incorrect because you don't NEED +15 to play the game and considering 95% of the content is PVE, being able to clear instances faster is not really so gamechanging.

    If you're tired of playing or tired of Krafton's managment of the game you have every right in this world but coming on the forum discouraging potential new players is just plain dumb because once tera dies it won't resurrect in a better form.

    Better give them updated honest feedback with the good and bad aspects of it and let them decide.


    Not every player looks for the same to begin with, some people won't mind certain aspects, so it's better to let each try for themselves.


    I believe if by the time you get a content it's outdated playing actively, it's not really pay2advance or fast any longer, it's a non strict form pf p2w, but this is just my humble opinion and subject to discussion. Then again the BiS is not needed to enjoy and access every game content so there's that too.

    That's why i've already wrote 2 times to stay away if you don't like grinding for best equipment.
    I mean... getting +12/+13 kaia requires no more than a month if you play actively and that's enough to run everything imho.
    Will you struggle more with +12/13 equipment instead of all +15 ? Yeah, but not that much.
    Will you be able to enjoy the pve content of the game ? Yeah.
    I just came back first days of October but as far as i know Annihilation and Kaia gear has been here for around one year, and there's still no sign of new gear coming.

    Honest feedback is that the game ain't Pay2Win because there's nothing to Win in PvE except the entertainment.
    If you want to be the number one in rankings well then you have worse problems than the difficulty of reaching BiS.

    Don't get me wrong tho, i'm not saying the game is perfect but it's not that bad either.
    I've seen +15 with BiS gear being outdpsd by lower geared ppl so at the end of the day being perfect is cool but totally not necessary.

    Edit: I'm not even considering the pvp aspect because that's Krafton fault and discussing it here has proven pointless in all these years...

    Almost everything else than untradable cosmetics can and will give you advantage over someone who doesn't pay anything. It's not strictly about things non payers literally can't achieve, it's very much about paying to progress faster than someone who can't or doesn't want to spend their money on the game, thus achieving an advantage over them -> paying "to win".
