Instance resupply scroll, or increase weekly entries

  • Hello people!

I will start with the TL;DR to not waste your time, and here's my suggestion:

    Either increase weekly dungeon entries for Corrupted Skynest Hard Mode, Draakon Arena Hard Mode and Draakon Arena Normal Mode to match the other dungeons;

or provide a source for the instance resupply scroll, maybe with Vanguard Credits like it used to be.

And now the wall of text for those who cares.

It is Thursday, which means that most of people who likes PVE is already in vacation until next Tuesday due to no entries left in Draakon Arena Hard Mode, not even in your alts, so I will try to cover some of the main problems people are experiencing..

    The "static pressure":

Ok this one is subjective to those people who usually runs with the same party. They're not allowed to run with anyone else due to lack of entries; I will take this to the extreme saying that this could apply also with 80 entries, but yeah, it's a big difference and this cause stress to party members, probably causing no motivation to play the game.

    The "guild pressure":

This one is very harfmul for helpful people. Let's say we need to train guild members and we cannot because we have no entries left. This usually leads to uncomfortable situations in a supposedly friendly environment, and eventually, no motivation to play the game

    The "wipe/train pressure":

Don't get me wrong, I like the stack mechanic that force you to focus to clear, but many people experience literally panic, this leads to frustration and therefore, no motivation in play the game.

    The "casual pressure":

This is experienced mostly from those casual players that want to run when they can or when they feel like, and if it's too late in the week, there is no possibility to find party due to no entries left, so once again, no motivation to play the game.

There are other problem that involve statistics and probability, about infusions and jewelry..but I will keep it short with a...Good luck finding good item and good rolls.

And this is a call to the playerbase. Next extreme mode, RK9 Extreme Mode, will have 1 entry per week. If we don't react,

we are saying YES PLEASE to every dump they're throwing at us.

  • In the past we used to have 1 (2 Club) entry per dungeon per day, what was fine, because the dungeons took longer and there was in general an acceptance of the community, because they were used to it.

When the coin system was introduced, the entry costs where too high to just do whatever you want. Instead you focused on doing the latest dungeon you can do and save your coins. Now you have enough coins and entry costs are low, so you have almost no restrictions anymore.

Having hardly any entries AND entry costs is just worst of both worlds. The 1-boss dungeons are way too short to limit the entries like this and on top of that have the highest fee to enter.

One example: Dreadspire had 5 entries /day (!) and did take a good amount of time so that it wasn't a no-brainer to clear in one day + the loot wasn't important for your equipment.

The new dungeon entries, where you have to farm your jewelry, lasts for max. 2,5 hours if you plan 15min per run (enter, clear, loot).

One more thing to add: The devs should stop adding 1-boss dungeons and start bringing back 3 or more bosses per dungeon. It gets boring way too fast to see the same boss every fight.

  • the adventure Coin system was a mistake, prove me wrong.

They utterly failed to deliver on their promise of allowing players to do w/e they wanted by bloating the coin costs and when they finally made coin costs more manageable they limited entries far more than you could get if you just used Reset scrolls, so the system had no point other than artificially create a shortage of entries they could exploit thru the shop.

combine that with lazy dungeon design(1 boss runs are becoming norm and force these bosses to be massively over designed to make up for it and increasing the barrier of entry/requirements)

  • Meanwhile as a pvp player, I sit like a mighty dragon on a pile of reset coins and scrolls that I get from events and from occasional low dungeon runs with first timers.

I have a ridiculous amount of entries that I don't even use at all and I can't trade to pve players who would actually use them.

If entries/coins were tradable maybe I would be able to make some gold to enchant my pvp gear or gift them to friends/help my guild progress.

Since not everybody runs the same dungeons, this could help many people advance faster ingame, including beginners and returning players that could help endgame players achieve their goals and vice versa.

  • You're right OP, the game is only alive on Tuesdays but lately not even then. I know it's summer and people may be vacationing but I haven't seen Tera this empty since before Corona and the decline started with the new dungeon. People completely lost motivation to play with limited entries. We're bound to our static and can't play when we want anymore, and God forbid real life prevents you from doing your runs on Tuesday or Wednesday you can forget about doing them on the weekend as there will be nobody left to play with.

Just what were they thinking? Purposely killing the game? Can't they see the log in data lately (the decline)? Idk...

In Addition it takes way too long to update to the latest version where you can roll your gear stats. I do DAH to get Resizing stones, but I have no motivation to run DAN with the knowledge that it will be easier to get desired stats with a coming update.

I didn't play for months before and after exodor released, came back after patch 92 when getting gear got easier.

I assume that many people, including me, are tired of the crisis we have to endure after every major update and just do different things than playing TERA, while we wait for a solution of a problem that was created by the devs.
