is there any point at all to start tera again now ?

Just look the forums.See how many usefull feedbacks ignored by both gf and krafton.See everything you need.At the end of it,you will find another game to play.

Last week I returned after 3 years. I could not (or I was too lazy) to find some another MMO as good as TERA was when it begin.

If you don't want to be top player, just play for fun, it's still good.

This question doesn't make sense to me.

If you have fun playing tera, yeah, go for it.

If you do not have fun, leave it and look for something else.

Tera is not a "job" or a "chore", it should be fun. So the question whether there is any point in playing it now is up to the individual.

If you don't want playing to be a chore, set a "soft cap" that's not too hard to reach (e.g. gold lv.69 gear +10), then enjoy the game's content as much as your limited gear allows you.

There's (some) fun left in the game if you don't obsess over trying to min/max your character.

You can't even play this game casually if you really want it because its always the same dungeons. The "casual" or "growth" dungeons contains the old stuff we had back in 2018/2019 like Antharos, RK, RR, GLS. I stopped playing around August last year had Ho + 3 when Exodor hit. Now i have +10 gear from an event. Even if you have a casual mindset of playing all your aviable dungeons are one combo fest anyway. I just grabbed a drink and when i returned my IMS party was already at the end of Boss 2 in RK. You press maybe 10 buttons and "fun" is over. And there is nothing else in TERA except dungeon. Guardian legion? Will be nerfed soon. Fishing? Pointless. Open world content? May aswell delete all Zones except Exodor / HW.

This game just became a Raidlog game. Just login for your weekly Dungeon > play something else for the rest 6 days

your comment doesn't make sense to me either , this is not a moba/overwatch game were you open it for 1-2 hours check whats up and judge , thats mmorpg you need alot of hours doing content so you get idea , thats why its better asking before trying , there is video about lvling in tera by lazypeon saying how lvling is chore fest and too slow unless you pay sub

This Lazypeon Youtuber is a stupid idiot. He has no clue about MMORPGS, he ist always just leveling and than leaving the games, sometimes not even reaching max level. He doesn't know jack-shit about the games he is talking about.

adding to that comment, leveling has never been faster than it is now (and has been for a while), you hit close to endgame (lvl 65) within a day, and then you can be lvl 70 a couple of days later, while already doing quest lines and some dungeons. No subscription needed. Later it might give you some nice extras, but you don't need it to level.

you can easily buy gear to start of your dungeons, and even the starting gear you get through a quest is quite good compared to the older ones you got

so i don't really know how old that video you've seen actually is

I mean the question whether a game is worth picking up is subjective. Someone might enjoy playing tera a lot, even casually while others don't. You should just try it out and see, it's free anyway.

To get to the point where you have fun takes a lot of time, because lvling is way too fast for a beginner to enjoy the combat and once you hit max lv you have to grind for weeks to get to the real endgame with 90% of the active playerbase.

If someone asks me "is it worth giving a shot" I'd say NO, even when it's free there are more enjoyable ways to waste your free time.

And I don't remember 4 years ago levelling being a chore at all, I think he is just as lazy as his name says

Slightly off topic but I've seen recently another "It's worth playing" type video regarding Tera from another YouTuber, which made a lot of (weird) considerations but here's the catch: has seen in the video footage he used (and as he said too) he didn't even reached lv.70, yet he made an "impressions" video about it (legit yes, but very lackluster,also yes).

252k Subscribers youtube channel but too lazy to even get to max level - 16 and I mean SIXTEEN minutes of video talking about lv.1-65, kinda embarrassing if you ask me.

The same youtuber also made a comment on yet another youtuber's video

saying that Tera isn't worth in 2020, which is a fair opinion if you ask me, but again coming from the guy not have bothered even getting to lv.70 isn't really a meaningful opinion.

Personally, I like leveling in TERA a lot. You don't have to rush it by only doing dungeons and using exp potions. I enjoy doing side quests, upgrading my low-level gear, doing achievements, etc. Later I like to save up for some fancy pets/mounts and enjoy the endgame when I upgrade my gear, finish the story quests, farm materials and scrolls, level up to 70, etc. There's quite a lot to do.

I dunno why they don't reactivate the 1 to 60 game regions properly and scale mobs to characters levels so there was a different way to 70 from 65 than the really dull boring path that currently exists. They could then go further and add more end game content using the existing zones and mobs. [ not dungeons ]. The game still has some very rich environments that are not used. When you level 65 to 70 it really pushes you into dungeons given that the world content is just so bad. If you like levelling zones in Tera there seems to be little choice other than to delete your char and start over.

I love Tera but seriously have great issue with the so called 65 to 70 content. So if the developers don't have the resources to create new stuff just scale mobs to characters and let us go fight in the older zones to get our XP. The path to 70 in this game levelling dries up as you complete Exodor. Also Exodor is a quite dreadful region. And if we were scaled we could enjoy maybe playing with other players coming up through the levels.

Maybe they could make all the BAMs hard again like they were in the beginning.

Lvling and story from lvl 1 to 65 dont exist anymore, devas just remove everything from this game other than farming several end game instances.

World map is uselles, may be big, but you will never have any reason to explore 99% of the maps.

I dont get why they destroyed journey from lvl 1 to lvl 70 by removing everything... And most stupid is that u can lvl in 3 hours max lvl if u want. where is fun and PVE journey before end stupid boring game i ask? Nowhere.
