New Dungeon, Normal And Hard Mode 5/10 Enter only

  • Ok GF that's not funny, you are pushing us to creating Alt's. I don't have fun to play other classes. I have Lancer and i don't want creating another and another Lancer, to play more instance because someone from GF say : OK WE PUT 5/10 Enter that be nice because they must creating another char, enchant gear and when they be empty of material, they must buy Material from tera shop.

You pushing us to logging in Tuesday, do 5/10 Kelsaik HM, Drakon Arena NM and HM 5/10 and we can log off to all rest days. Tera club now is waste of money if you play only one day in Week. People who have +15, all dungeons skilled, in future they leave, because they cant do nothing more in this game.

Why you dont give us enter's like Kelsaik NM? 80 Run normal and 10 HardMode. What do you want from Us to do in this game? Afking in Highwatch ? How many times we must Cleaning Forbidden Arena, Bahar and AQ? i hope rest of community come to this post and write our thoughts. On this Moment i stop buying tera club because i dont see any idea what to do in this game.

  • By the way, such restrictions are not set by publisher (Gameforge), but by the developer (Krafton).

About the limit on the number of entries in new dungeons, this was probably done to contain the widening gap between beginners and experienced players. Watching the trend of the latest updates, it seems that the developer focuses on narrowing the gap between beginners/returning players and experienced game veterans.

Are you sure about that? We were about to have the same thing happen to current 456 and 461 dungeons but Gameforge took a step back on it quickly after the feedback, so I doubt it went to Krafton back and forth.

Besides that, two things: 1. Even if it is set by Krafton, Gameforge still has the means to increase the entries on their own servers through mechanics like Tera Club or Reset Scrolls.

    2. Having less entries enlarges the gap between new players and veterans. Not the other way around.
When you have BiS you can only get marginally upgrades, but new players hit a wall here because it takes them much longer to get BiS due to the limited entries, compared to veterans who could just.. buy it.

  • I know right ? That's why I made a post before this patch came => Normal mode DG

And let's be honest "reducing the gap?" nah. Who want learning players in CSHM or the new HM? No one. Moreover, depending on your server finding people to train is harder than climbing Mt.Everest (: .

Moreover, as I mentionned in my post. GAMEFORGE did change the entry number before the korean did for 456 and 461. I could link you the post I made at that time but it was deleted (I presume cause I can't find it anymore).

Moreover, it is not smart of them to think that people will use the cash shop to gear their alts for 456 (with 99rez even my trap lancer can do it (even though it will be nightmarish for the party :D)).

  • Gearing your alt to +10 with full kaia and skill advancement for decent damage overall is a lot of gold. That's why I only play 2 character's even though I have like enough shards to make 3 alts to kaia. If I want a decent run and not trapping my friends I need to do that at least.

It's their way to force people waste gold/time on alts to able to run it more often. If you don't have much time for that, you p2w. Enough people do that I know that work a lot of hours just p2w to get everything. +15 with 2.0 crit mount lol.

  • Playing with alts was always encouraged for years, there was always 4 sets of gear:

    Low-tier / Mid-tier / High-tier / Visionmaker (Crafted)

With 1 run you could get full mid-tier and enchanting up to +12 was very easy and enough to run end-game dungeons if you knew what you are doing. Then came Apex +15... VM+15 was another story and kinda aids to get, but still rather easily doable after VM6 when they removed the enchantment decrease. Regardless, with instance reset scrolls, you could be spamming the same dungeon on the same character 24/7 anyways.

Then, Heroic Oath came with the promise of "removing RNG aspects of the game", with mechanics like letting you already choose your weapon rolls, % enchantment increase with gear XP and with fails. However, with the laughably low % success rate and % increase each fail + scarcity of materials + XP needed on gear to increase enchantment by like 1% chance, playing alts was severely punished. Also, many mats were not bankable until way further into later patches.

Now they kept adding more and more RNG elements to the game and thus creating disparity: pets, infusions. Then came a new set of gear with random rolls on all pieces of gear, enchantment reduction / damage, etc. all requiring loads of millions of gold to max out (if you ever).

The problem? Now they also punish you for not playing alts with the coin system and the limited daily/weekly runs.

It's stupid. I wish they could choose a goddamn progression path for the game to follow. Every year they change it.

May the lord bring us back the Instance Reset Scrolls.

Actually that's a lot of improvement to the past (if they keep it at 80/week instead of 10). I didn't like the coins at start but now that you have more coins per day to spent and entry fees are low it's way better than in the past.

Not regulating the dungeon entries with entry fees or limits would still be best though.

This is happening because they change the developing team like underwear. Not sticking to previous decisions and reworking lots of parts of the game makes me think they don't even know what game TERA used to be or what audience it initially wanted to adress.
