Insufficient RAM error

  • Hello there,

Been playing so far through Steam, and had 0 issues so far, but tried to login tonight after the update and I cannot even get to more than 76% of the loading screen before it crashes with the "Insufficient RAM" error. I never had that issue before and I have a pretty beefy PC. Any reason to that?

Even though I am playing through Steam, when the error pops up, it's the Gameforge logo that I see in my task bar... Really don't know why it does that.

Anyone had that issue as well? Any feedback?

    Thanks.

  • Member of my static has the same problem. When he is porting to HW ch1 he gets kicked cause of RAM and his PC is brandnew...they mess up the game more and more every single patch...

Just make an s1 engine to believe it that you play with 4gb ram, woah the problem solved.

  • hello, lighting up an older thread because i received this error on one of my many attempts to log in today. normally i dont get lucky enough for my game to tell me why it crashes. about a month ago i didnt have nearly as many issues with the game crashing (over the years ive went through highs and lows of crashing despite having a good pc). as of today i think the longest duration of being logged in was about 10 minutes. now my game will only let me get past and load in after character selection before it crashes again so i cant even go in and change settings if i wanted to to try and troubleshoot. everything seems to be normal, if anyone has any tips pls let me know. thanks in advance!!!

  • I really don't know what's causing your Tera Game Client to crash. But it vary in many PC in what is causing the problem. But for starters before calling for personal help from professional technical service. You can try trial and error in isolating what might be the cause.

    1) make sure there is no other programs running on the background that might be eating up your pc's resources or might be causing your game client to crash. Also look up settings if you are using Windows10 then click Update & Security and see if your windows 10 is updating (cause sometimes when your windows 10 is updating

it is invisble in task manager and might be running when you are executing the the GF game client) and disable it temporarily

    2) check your system security of your anti virus if it's running and change it to silent mode or disable it also temporarily for the mean time.

    3) if your pc is always on for a long duration of period of time especially when you are always playing, watching videos and dowloading tons of file your harddrive might be slowing down and it might need temporarily be optimized or defrag for the time being.

    4) it might be your internet connection that you might be sharing in your household that is slowing down especially during peak hours in the city or the country you are at.

if none of this is the reason it's time for you to consult expert opinion from professionals.

  • Hello it's me again sorry you can try reading this it's the Gameforge Tera Client "s1engine.ini" problem. It's seems that still back then up to now Tera has never really fixed this issue with there developer. And the game still runs on an old game engine. I mean the "Unreal Engine 3" so mostly running the game on a most newest upto date High spec PC wont help, but older PC back in 2013 to 2015 with lower specs can run the game with no problem at all.
